The location was great. A really super showerhead.
The railing on the porch blocked the view of the lake. The furniture was tired and not very comfortable. We hated the parking situation. You had to park quite a distance from the facility.

Location is wonderful. You are right in the middle of town. All restaurants in town is walking distance.
If bathroom was in hall way, that would have been better. Parking was a little inconvenience, but ok. Balcony has wall up to table height. If you change balcony furniture to counter height chair, that would be nicer.

disappointing waste of money”

location.
the bath was gross. first time use of jets and dirty ring was left around the bath. dirty old half gross sponge given for washing dishes in kitchen. couldn’t have provided a new 1$ sponge? No basic pantry staples …. pepper was out. no cooking oil or spices. for a premium property they skimp on any extras. soaps were not replaced when house keeping came in. 1 tiny bottle of what seemed like a free sample from Aveda. Never replenished. Had no hot water one evening …. not great after my husband spent the day competing outside on a bobsled with sore muscles in -5 weather. brutal. the front door never locked. even when pulled shut the main door to the building provided access to anyone. the room doors had a rinky dink turn lock. basic security was not sufficient. I did not see a soul from the property except 1 day of house keeping for a 5 day stay. no offer to help with bags. 6 months pregnant hauling luggage up and down on slippery conditions. Just shows lack of care for their guests. very hands off. better to book a hotel at their prices. at least you will be safe, taken care of and felt welcomed. missed the mark.

Right in the heart of Lake Placid! Close to fabulous restaurants and shopping.
Not so much didn’t like but be aware that there are stairs - no elevator at all. This is an old building and has lots of character so it’s creaky and delightful. If you want modern this is not it. So beautiful and comfortable though.

A little pricey given that it is a 3 star property - but likely prices are up due to covid. Would have been great if it had a direct lake access on mirror lake Shower water pressure is low

Great location and very friendly staff.
I've stayed in both of the king rooms facing the lake and I have two suggestions that would make the rooms so much better. Please replace the couches - they are uncomfortable and tired. Also better chairs on the balcony would be amazing! Since the balcony slopes so much the chairs are very uncomfortable as you try not to slide off the front. Even some wedges under the front feet to level them out would make a huge difference.
