The room was clean and spacious. It looked exactly like in the pictures. Toilet was flawless and the hotel is convenient to nearby stores, bakeries, restaurants and the mall. Breakfast was delicious no doubt. Staff was friendly however the wifi sucks big time. The rooms were not sound proof coz we could hear the next door’s music loud and clear. Apart from that the stay was memorable!
The interiors are great as you can see in the pictures. The room is complete with complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea, and toiletries. Accommodating staff, however, I did not know about the PHP 2000 deposit upon check-in, or maybe I did not read the hotel's terms and conditions. I mean some hotels just require lesser amount. All in all, good experience. We will definitely be back and try their breakfast.
Ginormous comfortable room”
We stayed in room 507. It was the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in tiny shoebox, claustrophobia inducing Airbnb’s in Cebu in the past so it was so awesome to stay in such a large room! I love the minimalist style and concrete floors! Very unique style of rooms. It was very welcoming and comfortable. The bed and linens were really comfortable. Bathroom is huge also. Great tall rain shower. Also the location in maria Louisa section of Banilad is outstanding. You can walk to several excellent restaurants and a great massage place. I will definitely stay here in the future. What a find!
One of the best hotels I have stayed at.”
This hotel is perfect and I think you get MORE than your value for money which is rare to say! The interior is absolutely amazing, it’s a creative, artistic dream, so many pop art paintings and quirky ornaments. The shower in the room was our highlight... the best shower we had in the Philippines! The beds were comfy and the tv was great. Above all this the staff were impeccable and could not of done more for us, they even made us a bespoke vegetarian dish that was not stated on the menu. The staff also sorted out a tour for us and kept us fully informed of what was happening and when. Doors always got open for us and our bags carried! So courteous even to the extent we couldn’t use the waffle iron so the lady told us to sit down and she would sort it all out. I could not recommend his hotel enough and if we were ever in Cebu again I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much to all the staff that made our city stay amazing .
Quirky Hotel with great rooms in good location”
I was staying at the hotel whilst attending a wedding in Cebu. The location is great, pool bar area were great, staff very accommodating but the best part was the decor. Hotel restaurant was good, and the hotel is walking distance for a number of really fantastic restaurants.
Decent Location beside restaurant”
It is a very clean hotel with good shower facilities. definitely recommend the noveau room. international fare such as korean, chinese and japanese just beside the hotel. Chinese steamboat and korean were good. Jap was pricey.
Great service and beautifully furnished room ”
Wonderfully furnished and individualised room and facilities and minibar prices are very reasonable. Downside is no door on the bathroom (I think there is meant to be a curtain because there is a curtain rod) but just an open doorway, which is a little awkward when going to the toilet (especially number two). Hot water runs out quickly and bathroom seems a bit old and worn in comparison to the rest of the room but overall I found the hotel good value and service.
Everything Went Wrong”
I was initially assigned a room that has a leaking exhaust that leaks directly on the toilet. I asked to be moved to another room and was told to wait for an hour and I said I can’t wait that long because I was so tired. I was moved to another room. I opened the window and all I can see was a wall. I said fine I can deal with that. I rested amd slept a bit only to be woken up by a ringing phone. When I answered they said they were calling to check if everything is alright with my stay. It was until they called because I was sleeping! The wifi was also not working and I had to deal with an on again off again connection. Overall this stay was a disaster and I have not even heard an apology when I checked out. I asked to speak to a Manager about the leak by the way and I was denied because the Manager was “in a meeting”. Never bothered to call me back after their meeting though.
Most interesting design”
Loved the rooms’ design, high tables in the restaurant; the pillows were very ....simply loved it!!!a dreamy place
Stayed for 18 days...hotel is nice, big rooms. Staff are above amazing! Great you by name...always a smile. Had a wee issue first day but was immediately taken care off. I can't say enough about this place. This was my second time staying here amd it hopefully will not be my last! Salamat to the staff from housekeeping to front desk...you are an amazing group of people.
Sleeping of jetlag after a long travel”
Fantastic place, the staff was great and the room was huge. Would recommend and would easily stay here again if I'm in need for a place to stay in Cebu. Hard to say about the location, it's a bit far away from the airport and the ferry terminal, but I think that's more of our fault than The Henry's as we could have just booked a place closer to where we were coming from and going to, but definitely did have to sit in traffic for a while in a taxi to get there.
I chose the right hotel: spacious, quiet, near to other restos which provided variety. Even their breakfast was great. Very clean room! Would like to stay there again with someone. The staff always were smiling and went out of their way to be of service.
Pros were really excellent staff. Cons definitely have to be the level of noise inside the room. I could hear toilets flushing, showers running, and ill-behaved children and their parents running, screaming, and whatnot up and down the halls...
Very Bad experience”
Check in took so long, We lost a dive watch and all the hotel staff and manager blames it on the guest. very bad solution to a problem.
Cozy space in the city”
Good location in Banilad, friendly staff, spacious room. Enjoyed our stay in Cebu.
One of the best hotel experiences”
Great room, great restaurant, very friendly staff. Just a short ride away from Ayala Center, walking distance to great restaurants and to a supermarket. A bit noisy at the pool area because of ongoing construction in the adjacent property.
The staff are really nice and accommodating. The buffet is good. The onsite restaurant is really good. Pool is nice. Would be nice if the hotel has bar and gym. The location is alright, should have free shuttle to the malls (they used to have one back in the days).
We stayed 3 nights in the big nouveau room. It’s retro industrial in design with concrete and metal. Extremely clean with the best hot water shower in all the Philippines. Great space to put your luggage and a wonderful sink. Seriously we loved the place. The staff were helpful and very friendly. There was water noise at night and you could here the doors close because of the industrial design. But a welcome sound over roosters, dogs and cats. We loved our stay and wish The Henry Hotel wasn’t full when we leave Manila. Would definitely stay again!!
Best place to stay in Cebu”
Each room is unique and every room I stayed in was great. Less noisy than other places I have stayed and great location. I will stay here again if in Cebu; it was one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed to date.
Stayed at Room 311 and the wifi is terrible! Disconnected quite often and super slow. Mobile data is way faster so I don’t think this hotel is a good option if you plan on working or need to be online most of the time. Another issue I have is the soundproofing, we can literally hear loud steps from the room above ours and can get get quite annoying. I also think that the hotel should put some scent in their lobby as there is a weird smell, I don’t know if its just me or what.
