The Hill Resort - BB Hotel & Resort ”
Great services, super friendly staff and very helpful. We’d originally booked The Hill Resort, but it was some distance from the main street, Ms Huyền (manager) kindly offered to move us to another location (BB Hotel & Resort) which was closer. Big shout out to Huyền (reception) and Phát and all the staff at BB for making our stay enjoyable.

The hill resort is a great resort. Even though there is a road ahead before you reach the resort but since we use motorbike it’s not a problem. But it’s quite a distance. The staff were great as there try to settle all our requests. Breakfast was decent for our like. Motorbike was rent to us 150,000 Dong. Overall all was good. It’s our mistake that we thought the hotel fee was deducted from our credit card before we came but actually it’s settle at the hotel. The staff took great effort to explain to us and provide information. It’s our mistake. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Big clean room. ”
Nice big clean room. Pool clean, but surroundings uninviting with black mould on walls around pool. All paths grimy and slippery in the rain. Staff sit on pool chairs on their phones and chatting loudly to each other as though they are guests not staff. Very Vietnamese breakfast. Laneway approach to the hotel is steep and dark. Construction down the hill prevents cars/taxis from getting to the hotel. A lot to like but also lot to dislike. Have just touched on a few things.

Up a steep dark wet laneway at night”
Big clean room. Staff helpful but too attentive. Need to give some privacy. At night the laneway from the main road is dark and wet. Vehicles can't get up to drop you off or pick you up. Breakfast needs some non Vietnamese choices.

The Hell Resort”
We chose this hotel to help the local businesses instead of moving into a big chain. This is a beautiful place, away from the noise of the town, or so we thought at first. The first 2 nights were amazing as the place was surrounded by the soft sound of insects chirping and geckos singing. Unfortunately, a large family arrived with screaming children and adults, slamming doors until 23:00 and again from 6:30 first thing in the morning. With our busy schedule driving around the island, we needed a good rest that we never got. The same applies to the breakfast: it was lush the first time (noodles, fried rice, pho, omelette and more) but completely empty following the group's arrival. Yes, the staff tried to intervene by telling them ONCE to quiet down and we got a mere "sorry" when we finally left after 5 nights. Hadn't it been for this family, this cute little place would have received a 4.5 as the rooms are very clean, spacious and practical. They lose half a star for shower pressure which at first was a tiny spatter then upon report became only just enough to have a "quick" shower. Washing and rinsing hair would take 15 minutes at least. Also, the water is either piping hot or ice cold, nothing in the middle and there was no hot water in the sink which implied boiling a kettle for shaving. There are notices everywhere for an eco friendly approach which is great, but please add one about respect for other guests' peace. Also, it feels like the staff tried to milk us on 3 occasions: we called from the airport and asked if they had a bus service, they said yes but it was too late (around 21:00) but we weren't offered one either when we left the hotel at 7:00. We asked to rent a bike, and the young woman thought about it for a few seconds and quoted us 190.000 vnd a day. We declined and got a fantastic bike for 120k (contact me for details if needed). We asked for a taxi to go to the airport and the same woman quoted us 250k. We declined and got a Grab for 106k. So, i

A lovely place away from the hustle and bustle.. ”
We picked Phu Quoc for the chilled bit of our travels around Vietnam. The Hill Resort was great. Nice quiet spot away from the busy main drag. Lovely family run it and they were really helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless, The breakfasts were great and we enjoyed the pretty pool area. It’s not far from the airport but you don’t hear the planes at all. Taxi from the airport should cost you NO more than 120VND

A Wonderful Stay”
The Hill Resort was a wonderful finish to my near three months in Vietnam. The rooms were large, bright and immaculately clean. I had a third floor sea view (not sure that’s what I booked) overlooking the manicured garden, swimming pool and sea in the distance. It was a short walk to the beach and ample dining choices. Scooters were available and my hosts made numerous suggestions on what to see and do. I put about 600 km on a scooter and was able to see all the island offered. When I didn’t ride, lazing around the hotel was most enjoyable. The day started with a lovely breakfast of both traditional Vietnamese and western food complemented by fresh tropical fruit. Had an excellent stay at this hotel”
The location is a walking distance to the main street, although a bit secluded we felt safe there. The owner who personally manages the resort is very nice. We were upgraded to a pool view, had an early check in and were allowed to check out late at no extra charge. They even served dinner during Christmas eve and on Christmas night with no extra fees as well. The resort is still new, so the furniture are still in very good condition. We have nothing but good words for this hotel. The owner's wife and all staff are all nice and very helpful.
