Great Hotel with great service”

Howard Plaza Hotel is situated in the busy Eastern district of Taipei. One can travel easily to the commercial and shopping districts of Taipei like 101. It is well connected to all forms of transportation - a bus stop nearby which has bus service bringing you to Taoyuan airport, and near Zhongxiao-Fuxing and Daan MRT stations for travelling the rest of Taipei. The room is comfortable and clean and the receptionists are warm and friendly.

Fab Stay @ The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei”

We stayed @ The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei for the first time and will certainly return. Our suite ( with daily breakfast ) is huge and comfy. The hotel is within walking distances to the MRT stations Zhongxiao Fuxing & Daan ( Blue & Red lines) and accessible to SOGO, nearby eateries, Taipei 101 & Ximending etc. Though we could dine @ either L2 for western-styled brekky or L1 for Taiwanese & Japanese delights, the only flipside is the items which remained during the stay. We kinda grew tired and gave it a miss on minimally two days. The staff @ L1 café weren't exactly friendly... other than that, our stay was fab!

Great location and decent hotel”

Howard Plaza Hotel is located at a great place, Da-an, Taipei where it is very convenient to dine and shop around. It is near good restaurants like Zhuji, Din Tai Fung and Mos Burger, not to mention the convenience of going to the Hello Kitty Restaurant where desserts are literally pretty and great tasting as well. It is also near Sogo and a whole lot of 7-11 and Family Mart convenience store. The hotel is also clean and serves good food at their in room service menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also speak English, which is very convenient for first time visitors to Taipei like us. Although wi-fi is free only at the lobby the connection speed is decent. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we visit Taipei in the future. We had a pleasant stay at Howard Plaza.

Great stay at the Howard”

Stayed at the Howard Plaza for a total of 10 days in August. We had been to Taipei once before and stayed at a different hotel near Taipei main station. The Howard Plaza by far is a better choice. The location in the Da-an district is a great central location for all touring of the city. We had a room on the executive floor and couldn't be any happier with the setvice. You really do feel welcome the minute you enter the hotel. This is a great choice if you want to stay st a hotel with lots of amenities (restaurants， shopping，pool，etc.).

Hotel with good service”

I stayed at the Howard Plaza Hotel during a business trip and mini-conference. I found the hotel quite comfortable, the staff very friendly (and proficient in speaking English) and overall decor charming. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The hotel has an open atrium with a pond in the middle, several floors of shops and many different restaurants. For breakfast, you can choose from a Western or Chinese buffet. There is also wi-fi in the rooms. Room service is quick. It took about 20 minutes for my dinner to arrive (on two separate occasions). I also arranged for the hotel to send a car to pick me up and drop me back off at the airport. Both cars were right on time and, again, the service was impeccable.

Howard Plaza Hotel is situated in a eastern district of Taipei. It is very near to the commercial and shopping districts area and it is well-linked to all forms of transportation - cabs, buses and metros and makes travelling an ease, be it for work or entertainment.

Top Quality Hotel - Value Priced”

the howard was a great find in taipei. i usually stay at sheraton, but the howard is every bit as nice at half the price, and the location is better. 5 minute walk to mrt, sogo, and plenty of shopping and eating places nearby. the hotel is in great condition seems newly renovated. they have a variety of restaurant choices including a nice breakfast, high tea,and dinner buffet. only downside is the room. it is clean and modern and it is rather big, but the bed seems very hard and small for a queen bed and the bathroom (small and older features), but nice amenities.

Old favourite”

An old favourite of mine, I have stayed at the Howard Plaza many times and have never been disappointed. The staff are attentive and welcoming and always keen to help out with directions, and writing addresses in Chinese. The hotel is close to an MTR station and also within walking distance of good shopping/restaurants. Although the hotel is a little old now, the rooms are still very good value and the Howard Plaza is hard to beat.

The Hotel really made you feeling at Home”

Similar to my previous stay in the Hotel, I was invited again by Mr. CK Leong to attend the cocktail in my recent stay. I must say I enjoy very much while chatting with CK Leong and his team members. This gathering is certainly created a lot to opportunities for me and others to mingle with. The location of Hotel is very convenient to move around to the two subway station, along the walking shopping street and eating place. Breakfast at level 2 and 4 are always serving good foods with many options. Well done Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei !

Good Hotel with Excellent Service”

I have been staying at Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei for several occasion when i made business trip in Taipei. I did made changes to stay at other Hotel but finally still come back to the Hotel again is mainly due to its staff always providing with Excellent service. Well Done!

East Taipei is the place to go~”

I love to Stay at hotels that are located at the eastern side of Taipei city because they are close to where I work and where I shop. And honestly, the 5 stars hotels in Taipei are usually located in areas that are not some convenient. However, howard plaza is different, they are located very close to the MRT station, close to Da Nan Park, 5 mins away from a Night Market~ and less then 8 mins walk awy from SOGO. very good location indeed. and the staffs are all experienced staff with and they are very well trained. I love my stay there. The rooms are good. They did some remodeling, NOT a hip hotelfor sure, But I like it. Also, Please take note the Taiwanese Restaruant at B1 is very good. Please go down there and order everything.

A comfortable, convenient hotel”

Howard Plaza Hotel is a very good hotel to stay in. Even though this hotel is very old, but the facilities are maintaining very well. I love this hotel. The hotel is very suitable for my parents who are at age 70+. Room size is reasonable, the bed is extremely comfortable. A lot of restaurants inside the hotel that you can have Chinese Dim Sum, Japanses food, steak house to choose from. If you are tired, you basically do not need to leave the hotel and try all kind of food. A very good experience.

Howard Plaza ”

We were very pleased with the hotel. Room faced the inner atrium so it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful. Location to MRT and Sogo shopping was excellent. Jade and Flower Markets are also close by. We would definitely stay at Howard Plaza on our next trip to Taipei.

Lovely hotel and great service”

My husband and I stayed at the Howard Plaza during Christmas time for 5 nights. There was a huge Xmas tree in the center of the hotel and holiday cheer everywhere. The room was very spacious and well appointed. The front staff was very helpful for information about the neighborhood and where to eat, etc. Nightly happy hour at the club room was very nice. The location was perfect -- central to everything, within walking distance to several MRT lines. We will definitely come back and stay again!

A great hotel experience ”

Some of the previous customer reviews complained about noises, so I was prepared for that. Surprisingly I didn't hear any. Is it because I had a top floor renovated room? Traveling alone, my main concern is security, Howard Plaza definitely meets the requirement. Room is clean and elegantly decorated with daily supply of 2 bottled water, fruits, and choice of newspaper.

New remodeled Room”

I always love to stay in Howard Plaza Hotel ~ They always got some great deals on agoda.com. The Hotel's location is great , Close to the MRT station and still not too busy. AND they finally remodel a lot of the rooms and NOW they are still CHINA Taiwanese Theme rooms, but at least the chairs are not older than me.

Classic Hotel in the heart of Taipei”

The Howard Plaza Hotel is overall a nice classic place to stay in Taipei. The rooms were not the biggest, but they were clean, the hotel staff was well trained and helpful, and the hotel lobby with its very high ceiling over the breakfast area gives the whole place a nice feeling! The restaurants on the second floor had outstanding food that shouldn't be missed on a stay in the Howard Plaza. I was afterall satisfied and would come back at any time.

What it lacks in theming it makes up for in amenities”

Howard Plaza isn't the newest or best looking hotel at first glance, but it has a beautiful atrium and plenty of in-room amenities. The rooms are also dated and quite plain, but they are equipped with comfortable beds, a heated toilet, a shower AND a separate tub, complimentary bottled water and fresh fruit. It's about a 35-minute drive from the airport, but you can take the 1960 bus there for only $145 NTD (MUCH cheaper than a taxi). For about $155 USD a night, I was pleased with the accommodations.

This is our third time staying in Howard Plaza in the last two years. We have neven been disappointed. That is precisely the reason we consider this hotel our first choice every time we visited Taiwan. We would definitely recommend Howard to any relatives/friends.
