My favourite place to stay in Hong Kong”
The Jervois and it's sister properties at One96 and 99 Bonham are my favourite places to stay in Hong Kong - and the Jervois is my favourite of the favourites. The rooms are all actually suites with a separate living room and the amount of usable space you have is high. The design is outstanding - modern and stylish. Also love the location in Sheung Wan, which is much more fun than the more business-y areas of Central and Wan Chai. Great restaurants and cafes are nearby. You realise you don't need many of the things that a full service hotel offers (like room service) and would much rather have the location and space and privacy of the Jervois than the tiny tasteless room you'd get at even a high-end chain hotel. If you're hungry at Jervois, just order Deliveroo from Chachawan and in 20 minutes you'll have some of the best Thai food you'll ever eat! Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. It is incredible value for money.
Favourite place to stay in Hong Kong”
The Jervois apartments are so beautifully designed, well located, comfortable and big enough that you could actually live there, very happily long term. That is not something I would say about many other Hong Kong hotel rooms and certainly not any in this price range. Absolutely love the Jervois and would recommend it as the #1 place for anyone to stay in Hong Kong
Great Hotel for the Design-Inclined”
This was our second stay at The Jervois and the high standards which we experienced were more than maintained - the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were still beautifully maintained. The room is ample by Hong Kong standards and being designed by renown interior designer Christian Liagre, the finished were fantastic. The hotel is also located in a quite neughbourhood but within walking distance to the MTR, eating and shopping. Design aficionados will enjoy exploring the nearby neighborhoods of Sai Street, Gough Street and PMQ at Aberdeen Street. Cupping Room located 2 shops from the Hotel serves up the best cuppa on the island.
Best experience ever!”
The Jervois is the best place to stay in HK!! The location is A1, the rooms are excellent but the best of all is the staff, they are helpful , paying attention to each detail of whats going on , they do everything to make their guests their stay in the Jervois in Hong Kong the best as possible. Its the first time I write a review, I couldnt be bothered before to make the effort, but in this case the Jervois needs to be praised
Smashing Hotel in a great location !!”
The Jervois is in an area where you could do everything. we love the design of this hotel. Room was spacious and included everything you need kitchen. Free snacks - but the best for our trip was a phone where you could call anywhere locally as well as home, we mainly used it as map to find all the places we wanted to go. Staffs were friendly and helpful, you could travel anywhere with ease as its 2-3 mins walk to Underground (MTR) - many restaurants within the area including the famous Wonton Noodles which was in Michelin Guide since 2009. Will surely stay here again once we return to Hong Kong
A hidden gem High spec finish”
This is a lovely little apartment hotel with well equipped rooms but no frills like a dining room or big lobby The apartment kitchen is very small with a microwave and hot plates but no dishwasher or oven There is no laundry in the apartment The living room has a small table and chair in it, a good sized tv and stereo with iPod dock The sofa and chaise are very comfortable The bed is comfy and the bathroom, finished in marble, features a rain shower and hand held shower in a recess that is not huge but perfectly adequate The overall look is modern and high spec Opaque blinds covered large windows with views of buildings and roof tops (moderately interesting but not exactly attractive) There are drapes that can be closed to give a blackout for those who want to catch up on sleep The airconditioning works well and the apartment, located in a back street, is quiet The other side of the building may give harbour views on the higher floors and it would be worth requesting this when booking The location is very good if (like me) you enjoy being away from the touristy areas of Kowloon and in a spot that is more 'authentic' Hong Kong Department stores (Wing On and Sincere) are a 5-10 walk away and the antiques area is nearby There is a 7 eleven store opposite (with a very limited range of things but stocking bottled water) and a small organic cafe (which has some gluten free options) next door to the 7 eleven When I left I took a taxi to Hong Kong station (ten minutes ride away) to check in my luggage and take the train to the airport The reception staff took my bags to a nearby street and hailed a taxi for me - too easy
Finally, a thoughtful family place ”
Before arrival, I am pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of all the staff. They tirelessly answered all of my questions regarding baby crib, baby tub, shower stall, and even got us a quiet room on a high floor. Best of all, this place has a separate living/ dining area that the baby crib can be in, with a sliding door so the baby can sleep without being interfered. A generous kitchen and appliances for cooking are also available (no dishes though). This place is a serviced apartment in a way, and is what I would recommend for families visiting Hong Kong and prefer to stay away from hotels' small bedrooms and expensive suites. We totally recommend this place to any family traveler, or, long-term business stays. This is located in Sheung Wan.
Full floor Suites, Great location”
We loved the design of the hotel, beautifully styled rooms with one suite per floor. Great views from the large windows. Roof deck is a nice added bonus with very cool view of Hong Kong. Staff was very helpful and kind especially Tommy. I would skip the breakfast in the restaurant however, it didn't suite me, the Cupping room just across the street has much better food and prices. Would stay again!
good experience to stay”
The staff were great, even when we set the fire alarm off and had 4 fireman in our apartment. My partner and I chose to stay in a serviced apartment at the end of a 3 week holiday in Asia. Hong Kong has one of the best varieties of fresh produce and groceries in the world. The Jervois is located a short walk from the fresh produce and seafood markets on Peel Street, whilst being only a 3 minute walk from Sheung Wan station - perfect for those that want to pop to C!tySuper at the IFC to pick up your French cheeses and Himalayan pink salt crystals. The kitchen is small but modern and more than adequate to toss your live rainbow king prawns in fresh local chilli paste and giant mainland garlic. There is a European wine shop up the road on the right to compliment. Recommend making use of the BBQ facilities on the roof. Ask in the morning before venturing out and by the time you get back, the pristine BBQ will be stocked with gas and all of the utensils required to host an al fresco evening with friends and a view.
Nice, spacious rooms in Central”
Excellent value for a large and well designed, modern room in Central Hong Kong. The room has nice amenities, like a Nespresso machine. The hotel itself is fairly simple, on a busy corner with a small lobby, but it is walking distance to good cafes and restaurants.
Lovely apartment in Sheung Wan”
I had a great stay at the apartment and have already scheduled another booking. The property was clean, tidy, good condition and everything was provided. The perfect place to stay and explore Hong Kong. The MTR is within 4-5 mins walking distance and the roof terrace views are spectacular. If only this was in Singapore as well!!! Open another one please.....
For it's price definitely worth the money and probably one of the bigger room that you can find in Hong Kong. Location is good as well, just a short walk to the mtr. Probably will not get the breakfast the next time due to the waiting time and limited choices.
Great place in a good location”
A space that is more like an own apartment with excellent (really outstanding) service and a good location in Hong Kong. Not the most touristy place, but if you know the city it is a great location, close to many good food places and also the ferry terminal. Definitely worth it if you want something more than the standard hotel
Modern, clean, convenient, everything one needs for a night in Hong Kong!”
I was only in town for one night and the Jervois was perfect. When you don't need galleries of banquet rooms or a huge fitness center, and you just want an immaculately clean, comfortable place to call your own. Nespresso so you don't have to hunt for Starbucks, fluffy towels, comfy slippers, crisp sheets, a spacious flat with wooden floors (no icky carpets where you wonder what fluids have been absorbed from previous guests) and midnight snacks for jetlag (really nice that everything in the room was complimentary... you just don't want to bother with nickeling and diming when in town for one night). I'll definitely be back next time I am in HK! Thanks!
Great location but inadequate heating facilities”
The location is great, make no mistake - lots of amazing food within 5 mins on foot. Room is also sleek and clean. However we had the misfortune of visiting during a cold snap in March where temperatures hovered between 11-14C. The central heating system does not currently work at the Jervois and the hotel only had a grand total of ONE portable heater which went to a guest with a baby. So we basically had to sleep freezing in a room that felt almost as cold as outside - the staff provided us an extra duvet each but our faces were exposed and felt like ice when we woke up. We also had to walk around the room with our jackets and shoes on! No bathrobeS or bedroom slippers were provided. My mother finally caught a cold as a result of the inhospitable room temperatures. It is a pity that senior management were never present to deal with the situation, leaving a nice Filipino receptionist with no budget to buy additional heaters, to deal with the situation (she was very nice but couldn't do much). Great location but thankfully we only paid half the usual price on a deal. Heating facilities are absolutely critical when you run a hotel in a country with seasons and the omission really smacks of 3 star management - we usually stay at the shangrila and grand Hyatt, both of which maintain appropriate room temperatures regardless of the weather. As a boutique normally priced at similar rates and aspiring to luxury status, the Jervois (and its senior management) undoubtedly fall short of top tier standards.
Very ideal! Would definitely stay there again!”
The Jervois is near to good coffee shops and walkable to Sheung Wan MTR station. Very clean and posh room, good for 1 to 2 pax with nice sitting area. The staff at Jervois were also very helpful - was looking for a cross-harbour taxi, she offered to help me with the luggage and walked me to the taxi stand which is 3-5mins away.
self service design apartment hotel in great locat”
everything is easy and efficient in Hong Kong and Jervois. This is a self-catering apartment design "hotel", very well located in the authentic SOHO Area and very close, 1 MRT stop, walking distance to Central. I love the location and the "Hotel". Not the cheapest, but the best choice in this area
If you are a DIY business traveler who doesn't need all of the services associated with a big hotel, then you will love The Jervois. There is no concierge, no car service, no restaurants, no gym but there is a great apartment designed by Christian Liaigre with coffee and water and plenty of space to spread out and work from your laptop. And downstairs you are steps away from all of the best food that HK has to offer...I think it's perfect.
Very Good Business Accommodation”
I stayed at The Jervois for 6 nights. The room was very spacious and the room facilities were very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for my business trip. Overall I will stay at The Jervois again it was a very nice relaxing stay there.
Great Apartment Hotel!”
Love The Jervois. Have stayed twice for longer visits to HK. Good location in Sheung Wan - walkable to central, soho. Good restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Great value for money. Washers to use and a gym. Would rate higher if gym was nicer.
