nice surprise ”

It was by mistake we booked this hotel in Kashihara rather than Nara - but a fortunate one. We really liked the friendly hotel as well as staying in Kashihara, and Nara is just a short, pleasant train ride away.

Great location, excellent onsen”

The hotel's location and onsen are excellent. The onsen in particular is fantastic, and the breakfast is also splendid, with many tasty selections in both Western and Japanese styles. My room was spacious, but the carpet was strangely sticky, which made me concerned about the cleanliness of the room overall. (The sheets and bathroom seemed clean.) Also, the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke even though I booked a non-smoking room, which sadly will prevent me from staying at this hotel again, even though I truly loved the rest of it. If cigarette smoke doesn't bother you, however, this is an excellent hotel and I do recommend it highly to anyone who doesn't have problems with allergies to cigarette smoke.

Royal stay”

Classy, few minutes' walk to the station and quiet

I made an honest mistake in booking 2 twin room meant for 1 person per room. The hotel was running a full house but the hotel was kind in upgrading us to a luxurious suite with 2 bedrooms for the 4 of us with an additional charge. Nonetheless, we were extremely delighted with the suite and truly enjoyed our stay with the hotel.

Needs to improve”

This is generic, Japanese hotel at its peak. The building has the overall feel of being the cheapest way to enclose a space. Though it surely reflects most of the surrounding buildings that way. There is no protection from the noise of trains just over the road. The decor is shabby and has the feeling of never having being changed since the hotel was built. The room stank of stale cigarette smoke which seemed to increase inexplicably from time to time. The public bathroom is reasonable though the sauna is not open half the time. The fact of having this public bath seems to enable them to suddenly impose a tax on leaving guests that leaves a sour taste. And talking of taste, breakfast is cheap and bland and barely changes, accentuated by truly awful coffee. The Japanese propensity to always have some greeters shouting at guests arriving for breakfast makes it an ordeal to sit there in the morning. A chef that in foreign hotels would be making omelets to order just busies himself making fried eggs. Margarine? What, no butter? Who eats margarine? Whipped cream? Chemical-tasting and obviously sprayed from the can. Doughy croissants, one tasteless bread variety, suspiciously yellow scrambled egg. If you were vegetarian then forget it, they don't cater to you. In fact, one wonders if there is any sense of who their guests are. They even want you to put your canteen tray and plates back on the trolley. Hey! We are guests! Clearly "Omotenashi" means nothing here. Well, it doesn't really in most of the country either. It is just like a company slogan - something to make the company feel good about itself but which no one takes seriously.

Best hotel for my march 2023 trip!”

This hotel serves the best breakfast. It looks simple but the taste truly excels, including Japanese desserts that I don't normally fancy. The most impressive thing is this hotel has a few foreign staff that speak perfect English and understand our needs. They change our breakfast buffet to a packed bento kaki-no-ha sushi on the 1st day as we need to travel out early. Special tks to Sellina for making this possible and all staff from the front desk. Keep it up !!!

残念なのは…”

施設もアメニティも部屋も温泉も最高でした。ロビーに飾られたクリスマスツリーも綺麗だったし、コロナ対策も万全でした。 ただ、ホテルスタッフの質が… 前に車を停めたら満車の為、前の立体駐車場に停めてください。と張り紙が、ドアボーイらしき方がいたのですが、寒いからか気づいてないのか、一向に中から出てこない。 仕方なく駐車場は自分たちで調べて荷物を下ろして中にはいって すれ違ってもいらっしゃいませの挨拶もない。 またチェックアウト時、朝のお見送りなのか、ロビーにいた中年の男性スタッフもありがとうございました。いってらっしゃいませ。の声かけもない。 ブスーとした顔をしたままで知らん顔。 コロナ禍で客に声をかけたらいけないのか?と思うほど、シカトされました。 仕事柄、全国のホテルに宿泊させていただきますが、 ダイワロイヤルのブランドイメージが一気に下がったなぁ。と残念に思いました。 大好きなホテルなだけに悲しかったです。 ネガティブと負のオーラが出まくりのスタッフに楽しみにしてた時間が奪われた気持ちでした。 ちなみに フロントの男性スタッフには丁寧に対応して頂きました。 コロナ禍で大変な時かと思いますが、 どうか明るく楽しかった雰囲気を取り戻して下さい。 また行かせていただきます。 ありがとうございました。

夕食に満足”

3月16日に泊まりました。奈良県の天河神社に行った帰り道でした。信じられないけどその日は想定外に天河神社の方面に突然の積雪があり、路面には雪が積もり運転に大変怖い思いをしたのが印象的でした。ホテルにつき天然温泉にゆったりつかり、楽しみな夕食タイムです。私たち夫婦は肉は食べれませんので和食のコースを頼みましたが中に肉入りの料理も混ざっていましたが、お願いしたら気持ちよく肉を別のものに変えてもらえました。またお酒が大好きなので熱燗を注文しましたら、お酒の冷めないお燗の容器に入ったのが出てきました。これは初めて見る容器で大変感心しました。お酒が余計おいしく楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。また奈良に行くときはこのホテルでと思いました。ありがとうございました。

大浴場”

タトゥーが入っており、8×10cmのシール2枚で隠れれば大浴場に入れるということでしたが、わずかに足らず入れませんでした。 結婚の挨拶で神奈川から来たのにとても残念でした。2枚という規定を設けず隠せれば入れるようにしてほしいです。それ以外はとても良かったです。また利用したいと思います。
