Nice and pleasent place to stay, very comfortable”
Our first visit in Singapore led us to the Keong Saik hotel. We booked a superior room with queen size bed and breakfast for 2 nights. The exterior design as well as the interior design of the hotel are very nice. The same we can say about the room. The room interior design and the bed are very comfortable and cosy. The breakfast is simple but satisfactory. Wifi worked always well. The staff is very friendly and absolutely helpful. The hotel location is also perfect to start sightseeing. We definitely recommend the Keong Saik hotel.
Comfortable, cosy hotel”
This was my second stay at Keong Saik Hotel, this time in a single bedded room in the Attic. It was small, but clean and comfortable. Staff at the Reception Desk on arrival were pleasant and efficient, I was in my room by 11am. They require a small deposit, so I was able to leave Au$ and got a receipt to claim it back on check-out. The elevator goes to the third floor, then it was up a couple of small flights of stairs to the Attic. The room lighting is a bit dim, but I found the room comfortable and had everything I needed. Adequate tea and coffee supplies, kettle, safe to store valuables and the water in the shower was very hot. The breakfast area is pleasant and the hot dishes changed during the 4 mornings I ate there, scrambled eggs, or sausages and baked beans, or boiled eggs, or poached eggs, and a hot soup. Plus, toast, fruit juices, tea and coffee, and a couple of types of cereal. Sometimes tinned chopped fruit. The coffee is very nice. Also during the day and afternoon you can sit and have tea or Nespresso coffee and cookies or cake and read the newspapers. I really like this hotel and it's an easy walk to Outram Park MRT station. It's quiet, safe, cosy and well-located. Suitable for all kinds of travellers wanting good value and comfort.
Super Satisfied! ”
Keong Saik Hotel basically provided me with all that I needed. I couldn't do an early check in cause they had quite a full house before me but front desk was really accomodating in keeping my luggage for me at 10am. Checking in was a breeze after. Room was very clean, small but cosy. Enough for 2 people to have a good nights rest. Toilet is clean and big enough. Kyaw at front desk is really nice, helpful and accomodating. Thumbs up for him! He made sure we had enough breakfast food, all that we needed in our room. After checking out, front desk didnt mind keeping our luggage too. Overall the hotel is clean, cosy and comfortable. Couldnt ask for anything better. **plus point - only 3-5 min walk to Outram Park Station (MRT) Thanks Keong Saik Hotel!
Excellent value and location - recommended”
We stopped at Keong Saik Hotel for 4 nights when we attended the Singapore Grand Prix. The hotel is very conveniently located a short walk to the MRT station and on a road with 2 good bars. We stopped in room 305 which is not your conventional layout but worked very well for us. Only negative with the room was the relative lack of lay-down space. The breakfast was basic but sufficed. (e.g. hot choice limited to sausages and scrambled egg on one day and other days similar pattern) During the day coffee and choice of biscuits was always available. Overall very happy with the hotel, friendly staff and would definitely stop there again.
Great value for the money!”
I stayed at Keong Saik Hotel several times (one time with family) and I can really recommend this small and reasonably priced hotel. It is very centrally located near Outram Park and Chinatown MRT. The hotel must have been renovated not too long ago. I like the hardwood floors and the old style windows that can be opened. The well-sized rooms are kept very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Best Staff, Value and Location. 7 min to MRT”

A memorable first international family vacation”
The staff were good, the hotel was very clean real value for our money it was worth every single penny, but most of all its location was great, very near to all the attractions in singapore and very close to great and cheap food, mrt was very near, a michelin starred restaurant was very close by. It was a great family vacation and one of the reasons was because of The Keong Saik Hotel.
Warm and Friendly”
The Keong Saik Hotel is a small boutique like hotel situated in Chinatown.. Although the rooms are basic, they are clean, functional and comfortable enough. (My bed was very comfortable). The location is excellent, just a short walk from the markets in Chinatown, and there are numerous restaurants within a short walk. The hotel is a short cab ride from many of the main spots in Singapore.. The hotel staff are fantastic, and we found them very friendly and helpful.. 10/10 on that score. I'll stay there again!
Very good value”
The hotel was basic but for the price and location that was expected and actually was a little better than I expected. I stayed in a room with two twin beds and a window. The beds were very small but comfortable. The breakfast was simple but enough to get you going til lunch for which there are hundreds of options near by. Overall I'd rate this place 4 out of 5 stars. I remove 1 star for the following reason. My room was across from a bar with a live band and patrons making noise til about 1 AM on Friday and a little on Saturday. Some 7/11 ear plugs solved the problem. Might've been better off getting a room with no windows that didn't face the street. The second issue is you must cross the intersection of Keong Saik Rd & Kreta Ayer Rd which doesn't have a traffic light or crosswalk. It can be done as long as you look all four ways first but was a bit unnerving. However none of these issues would prevent me from staying again given the value and other strengths.
Great”
I enjoyed my stay at The Keong Saik Hotel. The location is close to public transport, the service was great, the room was clean. But kindda sad because i sent my special request separately but the staff told me that they didn't receive it. Overall, i would recommend this hotel to my friend, and will be staying there again at my next visit!
Small and Quiet Hotel with Friendly Staff in an Excellent Location”
Definitely loved my stay here. I booked two rooms for me and my siblings, and we enjoyed the amenities and location of this hotel. The next time I come to Singapore on a budget, I will surely book The Keong Saik Hotel again!
Exceptional”
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always had a comfortable stay. Close to both Outram Park and Chinatown stations and many local eateries in Keong Saik Road. The staff are warm and welcoming and always ready to assist in any way. A lovely boutique hotel.
Best value hotel in singapore!”
Had a very nice stay in The Keong Saik Hotel! Location was excellent, with easy public transport (bus and MRT) access to Raffles and Orchard areas, and the hotel itself is closely located to some of the newest and trendiest bar in the Chinatown/ Keong Saik area. Definitely deserves a return visit. The only minus side is the super narrow shower which makes showering a bit of a hassle.
Worth the try if you are looking for simple stay”
It was a great stay besides the fact that you can actually hear the next room's people using hair dryer. Other than that, everything is fine including stuff service! Modern/new furnitures and etc. Might not be relatively big but I think is good enough. Simple breakfast too. Location wise, it is 5mins walk away from Outram Park Mrt station. Near Chinatown area too! No issue with my stay at The Keong Saik hotel.
Surprisingly Good Value for Money Hotel”
There are many 3 star hotels in Singapore which are terrible. The Keong Saik is very much better, room was larger than the cramp spaces found in other 3-star like Hotel81, Fragrance .and. the rest. The Keong Saik room is well maintain and clean, the wifi is good. and I like the breakfast,
Hidden gem in heart of Chinatown ”
The location which is within walking distance (10min)to Chinatown MRT and Outram MRT is great. In the midst of Chinatown which is bustling with hawker food and cool pubs and cafe. Plenty of F&B choices. Hotel is clean and all basic needs are met. Toilet a bit small especially the shower area. Otherwise, everything is ok and staff are friendly and helpful. Daily simple breakfast is convenient and comfortable because S'pore weather is too warm and eating at food court is uncomfortable though it's much cheaper than aircond places. Overall, Keong Saik Hotel is value for money.
Great staff, centrally-located, value for money”
Had a pleasant stay at Keong Saik Hotel. Hotel well-located near Outram Park (~3 min walk) and Chinatown (~7 min) MRT stations with plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants around. Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating without being overbearing.
A little gem in Chinatown :)”
This is a well managed small boutique hotel located in Keong Saik Road. I like the location, just a block away to the bustle of authentic Chinatown, but located in a very quiet neighbourhood. It's also walking distance to the nearest MRT (Outram Park / Chinatown), only few stops to Marina Bay areas, but as Singapore is small so it's very easy to move around the city using MRT. The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated, and great staffs. The only downfall is the room size, it's too tiny. Especially the one located in the attic with staircase access from the 3rd floor. It would be nice if the rooms could be slightly bigger. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I'll stay here again if I need a budget accommodation in Singapore. :D
Ideal Location”
Close to two MRT stations: Outram Park EW line to get to Jurong Bird Park & Chinatown NE line for Bay of Trees and Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Raffles Place and further afield. Chinatown good hawker food if you want to sample authentic food for as little as $4. Breakfast very basic with cereal and cooked food changing daily. Only two food containers which are not heated so had cold unappealing beans and frankfurters one day, cold scrambled egg another. However hot soup was offered a different day, so hit & miss. Staff very helpful with queries and in particular receptionist on day of departure. Had a 0600 flight and staff called a taxi which arrived within 4 minutes of call. Avoided $8 surcharge if taxi had been ordered in advance. Bedroom in basement, basic but clean and comfy with en suite shower. Bedroom cleaned daily with new bed sheets. Given hotel pricing in Singapore this was definitely a money saver.
Clean Hotel with competitive price ”
Believe it will not easy to find clean hotel with Queen bed and also near bus /MRT Station in Spore with limited budget. But I found it all at Keong Hotel. Halal food just across the building, Mount faber nasi lemak. Or you can take a walk to Chinatown Food centre in 3-5 minutes. The room have window which can be opened, so you can have good view.. If you lucky :) Definitely will be back there if I'm going to Spore.
