The hotel is rather dated but very clean, comfortable, and affordable. Location is great as it's right across from Hualamphong station. You can just walk there to take the bus, taxi, subway or train. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast buffet is very nice and filling. They even have ice cream. The hallway can get quiet hot though. There's a microwave on the 4th floor and you can do coin laundry although there are no dryers. Staff are very attentive and helpful. All in all, great stay and I would highly recommend it.

Simple accomodations, great breakfast and location”
Room was Spartan but clean and sufficient. The breakfast buffet was great, the fresh fruit they serve is not often found in a hotel breakfast buffet (at least for the budget traveller). The location is convenient, a few minutes walk to the Bangkok skytrain system, about 10 minutes walk to the food Mecca on Yaowarat road, and about 15 minutes walk to the water ferry that can take you upriver to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, etc.

Was for one night because transit train the nx day morning~although the hotel is old but the service is superb~walking distance to mrt and srt. The bed is clean and big and comfortable.. Good and i'll love to stay again when i visif bangkok again =)

Huge rooms, 2 double beds in each. Powerful showers. Incredibly polite staff, and bedding plus towels are changed every morning. Breakfast is huge, with a big variety (including Quails eggs and genuine croissants), and its unlimited! Unbeatable, great hotel with the train north to Chiang Mai or south to the Malaysian border across the road. MRT metro and new, solar powered ferries outside of the door.

How many hotels have you stayed in that have Quail Eggs as well as hen's, everyday, for breakfast? MRT Hualamphong across the canal. Eco ferries to the river connecting with the newest ferries to Icon Siam. This hotel has everything including bedding and towels changed every day. Perfect.

Great Hotel in a Great Location”
This is in a good location for me, the price is reasonable and there are good facilities available nearby. Bangkok Train Station (Hua Lamphong) is barely 50 metres away and there is a canal (with a little foot bridge over it) in between that has a commuter boat running up and down. In the other direction within about 100 metres is Chinatown with all of it’s food stalls, cafes & markets.

Pros: accessible to all popular sights. A walk only to cheap publec transport ( hua lamphong railway, MRT, Busses) Cons: old buildingand old facilities. but its clean and worth of your money. recommended to travellers.

Clean older hotel great breakfast ”
We are regulars at this hotel since 2016 . It is old but keep clean , staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. If you want to visit Chinatown or you are taking the train this is the place to stay . You can walk , take the train, the subway or even a boat from this hotel location is perfect for a Bangkok visit.

Lovely hotel with coffee making in room, two very large single beds if twin, nice size balcony, very reasonably priced drinks in fridge and wonderful restaurant downstairs made eating elsewhere for just an outing only. Central to all of bangkok.

Old style service”
I booked this hotel only as it was close to a friends hotel that was booked out... so kinda last choice as it looked rather cheap and cheerful. But to my amazement the place grew on me. I booked 3 nights and after getting there ... thought to myself “what the”. Anyways.... the guy on the door was on the ball.... the ladies behind the counter were all switched on and spoke English. From the start it was good old fashioned service. The rooms were dated but everything was clean and worked. Bed was comfortable and a modern tv. Breakfast was included also in there low price. It was a small smorgasbord.... but ticked the boxes for me.... eggs toast and thai dishes, cereal etc.....unfortunately if you like bacon.... I didn’t see any.... you really don’t need it anyways. I did not go to china town to shop or site see.... so I can not comment on the location to things like that. It’s right across from the railway stations... so easy access to other places in Bangkok. recommended

One night in Bangkok ”
I often stay here and it’s always nice clean and smoke free hotel but just this time in checking in the first room had strongly smell of cigarette. So I asked for another room and it was great no smell. Hopefully the hotel will be more strict with customer who smoke.

I was a bit sceptical when i arrived. From the outside this hotel was unappealing. The loby and room look like the 50-s. However, it was super clean. For the money i paid it was totally worth it.right infront of Hua Lamphong train station. And you can walk to China Town

It was really a great stay! Although it's a 2 star hotel only, it's very decent and clean. They also serve good breakfasts western-asian style with good selection. It's just next to the metro station. Very convenient!

Some other reviews here have pointed out that the bed is hard, which is true. It didn’t affect our sleep at all though!!! In fact, we slept fantastically well!
