The best hotel I stayed in this Hokkaido trip. ”

The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort offers everything, or even more, than what you expected. Lobby is well-designed with breathtaking view of Lake Toya. Every single staff is very attentive and offers you help in every way they can from the parking attendants, receptionists, house keepers and waitresses. Rooms are spacious and fully equipped with all amenities. Nightly fireworks along the lake is unforgettable. Onsen on the top floor is great and top notch with the lake view. Dinner and breakfast buffets were well set both in quality and quantity. The only drawback for me here was that we stayed here for only one and on the first night of our Hokkaido trip. Thus this resort set us a very high standard and spoil us from the beginning.

Top Resort Who Can Do Much Better! :-)”

Great Resort and Location at the Center of Toya with spectacular daily fireworks show. Great Room & Amenities with very attentive staff. But I believe you can do better, as i want to suggest the followings: 1. Keep the window in public onsen clear, so we can enjoy the breathtaking Toya lake view at the best. 2. You provide great beef meat material quality, but the cooking can be better to have better taste and quality. 3. Nonokaze can provide Crab Dinner buffet as available option. 4. As you doesn't provide lunch, you can partnership with some local surrounding restaurant to provide end to end whole day great service as value add. We were very confused what and where to get good lunch at the time of stays. 5. Kaiseki dinner menu can be better. And time to serve the whole course meals can be faster. 2+ hours to finish is quite too long. Big Hope Nonokaze resort can be much better, You have the potential! Thank you.

Pricey with spacious, modern room”

This hotel was extremely pricey but worth the experience for a 1 night stay in Lake Toya. Room was spacious and modern with a huge full length glass to view the entire lake. Only gripe was that I felt the onsen, buffet dinner and breakfast spread was way better at my previous stay in Lake Toya Sun Palace, which is about 1.3km further down the road, at a cheaper price than Nonokaze.

Beautiful sophisticated hotel”

The hotel is right by Lake Toya and the view is so beautiful, both from the lobby and the room. Our room is the Western Japanese room, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great onset facility. Dinner was quite good, although for the price we would prefer having a kaiseki dinner rather than buffet. Breakfast is good, with very good view of Lake Toya and Mt Yotei. Just across the street is the Illumination Tunnel, which is a beautifully lit at night. Overall, we will stay here again when in Lake Toya.

We stay 2 nights in this hotel, it definitely deserve the price. Not expensive for this service. The hotel provide shuttle bus from Sapporo to the hotel, easy to find. All hotel room have the lake view, the view in day time is better. The buffet offer by the restaurant have many different kind of cuisine, a little bit disappointed for the sushi which is vetgatable sushi. Other food is fine, especially the apple juice is great. The room is clean and furniture is new. The most appreciated part is the hot spring, the hotel offers in door and out door hot spring, the out door roof top hot spring is really amazing, the view is great. This is the most enjoyable part for this hotel. To conclude, the hotel is really great, strongly recommended people who go to Toya to visit this hotel!

Great view of lake toya !!”

This hotel exceeded my standards totally !!!! My group and I settled for a high floor on the 7th floor!!! Do pay a little extra for the high floor and you will find it will be totally worth it!!! got a room right smack in the middle of the hotel so had views from left to right of lake toya!!! rooms is huge with the ample space to move around!!! buffet is a really wide spread!!! comparable with 5 stars hotel buffet spread!!! do look out for the fireworks everyday at 8.45pm. it last from left to right of lake toya!! if u have a room on the high floor then watch it in the comfort of your room!!! on the top floor there is the public onsen for female and male as well but if u wan a private onsen its chargeable as well for only 50 mins but must be reserved in advance. a pity we only stayed 1 night as we were driving across hokkaido but will definitely stay there again if we passed through that area.

Fantastic view”

Booked a Superior Japanese Western room good, huge room that comes with living room, (Buffet breakfast& dinner included) Hotel looks new and luxurious We drove from Sapporo to Lake Toya (2hrs 10mins). They do provide free shuttle bus from CTS airport and Sapporo station. Carpark is free in the hotel, hotel staff helped us unload our luggage from the car and parked our car when we arrived. Warm fruit juice and cookies were served to us when we checked in We were assigned a Handicapped room (Room 1002), we identified it the moment we entered the room (it’s obvious cos there were assisting reels and chair in the shower room) and were located on the ground floor, view from the room was blocked by the trees. We were not pleased with the room and declined the room. We were then offered another room On the 4th floor (1405), this room has Perfect postcard view that overlooking the lake. Buffet dinner and breakfast were awesome. Wide selection & special selections for children too.

Easy to get here via free shuttle bus from Sapporo station which you need to book in advance. Was welcome by staffs upon arriving at the hotel and the check in was fast and easy. Room looks exactly as per in the pictures provided. The room was spacious, modern/japanese style, clean and has lots of amenities. The view from the room and the buffet restaurant were spectacular. We were able to get a clear view of Mount Yotei and Lake Toya during our stay. There was fireworks display at night as well which was great. We were able to see the scenic view of the lake and mountain from the private onsen. The temperature of the onsen can be adjusted as well. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer a lot of varieties from japanese, western to chinese. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here and wished it could have been longer.

Great view and relaxing experience”

Pros: A resort with full set of great breakfast buffet, dinner buffet, and onsen. Buffet was perfect to experience Japanese style + Other styles of food. Onsen was good which was nice to experience outdoor onsen with the great view of Toya lake. Fireworks are played every night from 8:45-9:05. It was nice watching wearing yukata provided by the hotel. Cons: there should be a reason but there was a smell in the separate toilet in the room. There was odor-free spray that helped in a way. The price is costly but worth it considering the food, onsen and the ambiance.

Best hotel we stayed in Hokkaido, located just in front of Lake Toya. Rooms and lobby have huge glass windows, providing good views of the lake during the fireworks display and throughout the day. Onsen is on the top floor, providing great views of the lake, and is very clean. The open air onsen is designed like an infinity pool! Room rate included dinner and breakfast which were buffet spreads. Lots of options and food quality was good. Service was amazing too. Would love to come back!

It was a wonderful stay & the best hotel of our stay. Love the dinner spread serving a wide range of quality food in a comfortable restaurant overlooking the lake. In fact all the rooms, restaurant & Onsen have a view of Lake Toya. The 20 mins fireworks started just outside this hotel & it was awesome! Onsen was great too, I noticed that every detail need of the guests were addressed. Awesome hotel right next to Lake Toya”

Superb onsen, hotel location, great room with lake view

The hotel is located right next to Lake Toya which is very relaxing and pleasant for an evening walk. There was a firework above the lake every night during our stay. All the rooms offer lake view which is marvelous. On top of that, their outdoor onsen is to-die-for. The view is unbeatable. I wish I could stay one more night. However, dinner and breakfast is included in room rate but the buffet wasn't that impressive.

The most memorable feature of this hotel is their Kaiseki meal (dinner & breakfast) and the onsen! We absolutely enjoyed the meals with excellent service from the staff - and the dining area was in a private room! There were both outdoor and indoor Onsen with stunning view of the lake! The bedroom was large and we've got the best view of lake toya! However, we were slightly disappointed there were no bathtub and to our surprise, we find the tea cups provided in the room had lipstick stains on it.

Pleasant stay for one night. Booking included buffet dinner and breakfast which was good. Despite the limited variety, the quality of food (served in bite sizes) made up for it. Onsen facilities were good too, there is an open air public onsen at the top of the building overseeing lake toya and mt yosei, good view while soaking. Will stay here again if revisit lake toya.
