We stayed at the Lalit in New Delhi for 5 days. We booked 2 rooms one for our grownup children. The hotel is just awesome, we loved everything about it. The scent of the Lalit as you enter the hotel is so amazing. The staff were outstanding and always willing to help. They are all so humble and service oriented. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, the bath was spotlessly clean. The hotel is located in a lovely area and is so close to Connaught Place. Which is a hip and happening place and lots of restaurants. Breakfast was lovely. It was so easy to use the taxis and Ubers. The hotel is wonderful I would recommend it to everyone.

We are a travelling family of 4 with 2 kids. So I primarily look for a spacious room - more than 20-25 SQ meters and a large bed. Also we prefer pubbing / eating out in the evenings and prefer a hotel with close commute back from good lounges and pubs or tourist attractions to avoid haggling with Rickshaws and Taxis - esp late in the night. This hotel is located 10 mins by walk to a bunch of well rated pubs like Tamasha, Chido, Ministry of Beer, LOTD etc and also Agrasen ki Baoli. Also very close from New Delhi Railway station. But the immediate vicinity and the 10 mins walk to CP feels barren, deserted and unsafe, esp in the night. Getting cabs and ricks to and from this hotel is a night mare, unless you are willing to pay 3-4 times the normal price, as after knowing the name of the hotel or vicinity - the taxi drivers quote a 4-5 times the the standard uber price ! Better idea would be to have a rental car for the entire day , but again parking at tourist spots can be challenging and time consuming. However once in the Hotel premise, it feels safe and peaceful. All deprtments including bell boys, receptions staff, housekeeping, restairant staff are all doing their job really well - as expected from a 5-star. As usual we check in early and check out late - but baggage storage was smooth and professional. My favourite was the room exec club room 2530 on 25th floor ! Large and Roomy, lot of storage space for my bags, 2 Large Twin beds, comfortable for an adult and a Kid to sleep. Although the room showed slight wear - It was clean and spacious. Full set of toiletaries provided with clean towels and bedding were provided. Breakfast spread was large and well made. Multiple live counters were setup, and to accomodate the breafast time rush, they has setup a parallel breakfast for groups and families in one of their banquet halls. Overall - I have nothing that could have worked better - except the location. We did not have enough time to explore the other faci

My daughter, who suffers from a sleep disorder, had an exceptional rest during our stay, which speaks volumes about the comfort and tranquility provided by the hotel. The room was spacious, quiet, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a peaceful environment for her. The staff were also incredibly courteous and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to feel at home. Overall excellent service but the odd "jobs" worth person can sour the experience more often than not at reception. No consideration or appreciation is taken of multiple repeat bookings and limited flexibility. The room service, cleaning, security. kitchen cooks and porters are always excellent. The restaurant staff can be a little hit and miss ranging between excellent to mediocre in service and attention provided. Maybe not as attentive to NRI's or local Indians as they are to Western guests. As always an excellent stay in a 5* hotel. We enjoyed our two days at the Lalit in New Delhi. We had a Premier King Room on the 23rd floor that overlooked the pool. Check in was fast and when we got to our room, we found a completely chocolate birthday cake for me, what a lovely surprise! I’ve never had this level of customer service. And the cake was tasty too. The room was clean and spacious. We had dinner at Baluchi in the hotel our first night. It’s northern Indian cuisine. The food was OK, but not worth the high price tag. There’s many delicious options not far from the hotel that we explored the next night. The pool area is clean and the pool is modern but it the water isn’t heated so it was too cold to go in. We had a very late flight our last day and the staff allowed us to have a 1 pm checkout and then even later in the day to use the showers in the spa at no cost—this was very helpful (it was a 17 hr flight). We also found showers in the pool bathrooms that we could have used. Lalit was nice hotel for the price and they have some wonderful values too—supporting the local community. They have displays on supporting the lgbtq community and our travel partners mentioned they learned the Lalit hires people of all abilities. We would recommend staying at the Lalit.
