              My Girlfriend and I had booked the balcony room and were shocked when we checked in and saw the balcony was full of bird droppings and seemed it had not been cleaned in months! Management (Sandeep Agnihotri in particular) was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite however I would still not recommend this hotel to anyone. Lower level staff is poorly trained, they asked us to pay in cash for all room service ordered and they kept disturbing us even though we had the do not disturb sign on. Location of the hotel is horrible and the pool is practically unusable. Food quality was also barely acceptable. There are tons of better hotels in Delhi available at the same or lower price. Do not stay here unless you need to be in the area the hotel is located.

              In short, the food on the daily buffet was average during my whole stay. The Indian restaurant was excellent by all means, the spa close early and the most frustrated point was the location of the hotel were it tokes me almost more than two hours daily to go back and forth between the hotel and the place where I used to go for work,not because of the distance where it was only about 17km far, but because of the traffic. If you have nothing near by that area, don't stay there.

              Lovely rooms, good gym, reasonable food
              We were very disappointed with our stay at the Kempinski. The hotel itself is nice, with lovely rooms and is kept very clean. The gym is one of the better hotel gyms we have seen/used. However, the location is not good - a long way from anywhere (minimum 30-40 minutes by car or other transportation) to get to anywhere of interest, often longer. We found staff and concierge to not be particularly helpful or useful in helping us to get around. Service was very disappointing also. We expect much better standards of customer care from a 5-star hotel. Quite frankly, if you are a foreign tourist looking for somewhere nice to base yourself for a few nights in New Delhi, I would suggest there are much better options in much better locations, at similar prices where you will have a much more enjoyable stay. We will not be staying at another Kempinski.

              While delivering food/beverage as in room dining the waiters ask to settle the bills in cash also they do not bother to return back change. They say it's hotel policy.
