Great value, friendly staff
The Leprechaun Resort was a convenient location for my recent business trip. I have stayed before and have been impressed with the staff. They are very friendly and efficient. The room I got was the cheapest available but clean and adequate. I really like how there are plates and bowls and cutlery available- better than just the teaspoon and mug for tea at other hotels. The management have made an effort in making each stay comfortable and that you have what you need to make it so. I will stay again.

Disgusted with this hotel
Room was booked with a smart phone with no prompts to tell us the room we booked did not allow children we had a 2 month old baby with us. I contacted the hotel the morning before our stay to organize a cot for for the room and was told no problem we will have a cot ready in your room for your arrival. You would think this would have been a good time to mention they do not allow children in the room yes? Upon arrival I gave my credit card and I.D and checked if the cot had been set up when the manager asked if I had a child with me and I said yes. to which hr reply was we dont allow children in the room full stop we have to be down graded to a room. And she was not very sympathetic about it. Yes it does say no children allowed on the desk top booking page but we booked using a smart phone like many people do these days and there was no prompts at all to say this is a child free hotel. we accepted the downgrade as it was evening and after a long drive with a baby we just needed a bed. The room was below average and the cot supplied was not fit for a dog to sleep on with the amount of urine stains and whatever else was on the mattress and sides of it. so our 2 month old spent the night on the floor on a folded sheet. nothing positive to say about anything in this place. I felt sorry for some of the staff the young employees who looked just as disgusted as me when I was told a 2 month old baby is not welcome by the manager and the poor girl who would not stop apologizing about the condition of thee urine stained port a cot. Will never be back to this substandard hotel.

Friendly staff, clean, relaxing and comforting
It was our last night in Darwin and we had an early flight to catch the next day. The friendly staff gave us useful and helpful information and helped us to book a taxi. Leprechaun Resort was clean, comfortable and we had a good night's rest before departing.

Good value for money
Cheap, clean, friendly
Stay was everything we needed for a quick overnighter. Cheap, lovely staff. Only thing I could add is it would have been good if aircon had been turned on as we were getting in late and the ring was quite hot.

Clean, staff, safe parking
Reception was very friendly and helpful. Unit was newly refurbished and very clean. Bed and bathroom linens were good quality. We used the pool and BBQ area in the evenings and enjoyed it. Safe, secure parking for the rental car but close to everything in Darwin. A good choice.

Attitude of management
I arrived at 11.30 pm & had trouble finding the key box as the taxi driver had dropped me near the entry gate not near reception. Had to call the manager to direct me where the key box was. Once finally in the room it was stiflingly hot & no cold water either. The next morning I spoke to the manager about these two things & his response was 'oh we don't do that in darwin' . I stated that a bottle of cold water would not be expensive to have for arriving guests & he said well you chose the cheapest room. If you had spent more you would have got better facilities. Not the point!! Wifi was also $10 a day - free anywhere you travel in ASIs. Having managed resorts myself I understand the impact of first impressions & although everything else was fine I would not recommend purely because of his attitude.
