A taste of luxury with simplicity”
The room with outdoor shower, the pool and the friendly staff
We stayed there 2nights in a kind of bungalow with a huge bed and fly net and a clean and stylish bathroom with amazing outdoor shower!! Everything was perfect at the hotel. the staff is very helpful, attentive but also quiet and not pushing. The bad point is that the surroundings are not very interesting you need transport. A good place to have some rest and enjoying quietness.

    Good Value and Great Views”
The bathtub, the pool and the ocean view.
It was a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and the views are extraordinary. The fresh flowers in the room were a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful. The food at the restaurant was not that good and from some of the rooms you can hear the traffic from the road.

    Not that great a stay”
Great pool by the beach with ocean views, nice looking room, pretty gardens.
The main issue with the hotel is that it's on the edge of town so it's a 20 minute walk to the town centre and no free shuttle service is offered. The rooms are nice (especially the outdoors shower with mountain views!) but the air con can't keep up so it's never really cool. And it is swarming with mozzies for that reason as well: I was glad for the mozzie net above the bed. During my stay they lost water one morning so that wasn't ideal. Also because the rooms are not air tight, a rodent of some kind ate my fish oil pills in the bathroom on the first night, and munched on soap the second! Wifi is free but only available in the lobby. Breakfast was not included and was pretty average for the price (fruit was not that fresh). Pool, gardens and restaurant views are great but don't make up for the other shortcomings in my opinion.

Nice hotel, however not in village Pemuteran”
Pool, large rooms with great bed, location near reef
Our stay was really nice, rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Pool is large and has nice views. There are quite a lot of mosquitos in the open bathroom. With the incense sticks this was quite controllable. Only major minus for us was the location. The map showed that the hotel was in the bay of Pemuteran, however it is about two kilometers from the village itself. This makes the hotel a bit isolated. Diving is great with Searovers (Adi assri hotel) - they can pick you up from Aneka hotel.

    Charming”
    Great pool, staff, seaview
The staff were very accommodating and put up a bednet for the extra bed we had in the room. Although they charged for the extra bed, which was just a mattress on the floor, we did manage to fit both boys onto the mattress. The restaurant did not make amazing food and it certainly changed part way through the stay, new chef?, also you can eat much cheaper in the village, but that is a trip and with kids often too much hassle. So it was good for us with young kids to dish up food they would eat. We also ate out and that was good food at both places we ate, 1 night at Matahari resort for posh nosh and 1 night at warung for BBQ fish, next door to Macro Bali Diving. Aneka Bagus was great really, a few minor details like a big lump of plastic/suction pipe in the children's pool and no cover over filter room by pool. But this is Asia. No TV and Internet only up by reception via mobile phone dongle, but if you neeeed internet then it works. I dived with Macro Diving Bali, and recommend them highly.

Not what we expected place is rundown staff disinterested like staying in a ghost town Talk about false advertising the spa was more like a cesspool had to keep Mozzie coils on all the time Did not unpack as wardrobe smelt. All in all do not go till brought back to some sort of order by management Worst place so far.

the view from the lobby, and very friendly staff
The hotel is nicely located right in front of rows of hills, providing lovely view soonest you are stepping into the lobby. The room itself is spacious, at par with other rooms that we've been to in Bali with the same price. The only drawback is the less variety of food for breakfast. and there are so many cats dropping poops everywhere that it gets so smelly at some spots! - even from the restaurant... And they never cleaned up the children pool when we stayed there. Fortunately the other pool has a shallow end. But it would be nice if the children pool was clean so at least we did not have to get into the pool with the kids everytime they wanted to swim..

nice location and very quiet, good for family and old couples
Very good services, specially the staff of the hotel are very polite. Needs more attention for the mosquito inside the guest room, specially to protect mosquitoes entering the guest room. Location of the lobby is a little bit high, and a little bit difficult for old people or disable people to reach the guest rooms

    Too Many Mosquitos”
    Good location, clean swimming pool
the thing that will always stand out for me about the aneka bogus hotel is the mosquitos. they were everywhere in the rooms. when we turned on the water in the shower dozens would fly up. if we moved one of our suitcases they would start swarming. if it wasn't for the mosquito netting we wouldn't have been able to sleep. secondly, there was absolutely nothing in the room about activities on premises or around town. there was nothing available in the lobby of the hotel either. we had to ask at the front desk and whoever was on duty would steer us to one of their friends for our needs. if we didn't bring along a guidebook we would have not known about the turtle refuge down the street.

    Looks great but overally disapointing”
Lovely gardens, pool and views of the ocean
Our family of 5 - kids aged 4, 5 and 7 stayed here for 4 nights in Mid July 2012. When we arrived were were really pleased. This hotel looks great but the longer we stayed the more dissapointed we got. Couldn't fault the gardens, outlook and facilites. But the big downers were the food, cleanliness, location and staff. LOCATION - only stay here if you have your own car (which we did). I would recommend staying right in Permuteran so you have choice of restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is poor(and its a long way to any other one). Food is poor and service lazy. CLEANING - The cleaning lets this place down a lot. Major problems were the bathrooms constantly flooding and getting all our stuff wet. Despite the staffs efforts they couldn't fix this problem. The major problem was when we went to check out of the hotel the hotel said they didn't take Visa card. This is a 4 star hotel! We'd racked up a US$200 bill for food etc. Non of the ATMs in permuteran worked so a staff member had to follow us 50kms to get their money. Ridiculous!
