Great hotel, great location, cool vibe. Not kid friendly per se, but the staff was very nice and accommodating to my 8 y/o. She had a great time.

Amazing value”
Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. Great gym and good location. Would come back.

Okay, but not worth it.”
Looking at the rooms in person, I'd probably say more 3 star accommodations, not 4-5. Not worth the money. The bathrooms had frosted, see-through doors and the rooms were pretty small and sparse.

Good location. Nice staff.

Not great”
Air in elevators is stale and unfiltered, halls feel desolate. Sunday brunch was a disaster: 1-hour wait for food that arrived cold, under-cooked, and tasting bad

A loud jumble, VERY bad brunch”
If you like waiting for over an hour to get food that is both cold and undercooked as well as overpriced, this is THE place for brunch! Room so-so, but not for the price charged. Overal painful experience

Historic, Hip, and Happening”
The Line DC offers an atmosphere that is hip and vibrant, with historic architecture and happening restaurants, bars, coffee shop, and open radio project. The staff are top-notch with kudos to Oscar and others in the 1st floor Brothers and Sisters crew, who are swift to find you a comfortable spot, a sublime drink, and a delicious dinner. Downsides: no business center and pricey. The frontdesk was willing to make copies for me, but I could not share the sensitive data. I would urge them to design more business options for travelers. The price is likely competitive, but might give a bit of sticker shocking, especially if you are traveling with family. Bottomline: Kudos to the stellar staff, and glad I stayed here.

Good”
When I saw the opening of The Line DC I was glad that it would bring of sophistication to my old Adams Morgan neighborhood, which was always interesting and colorful, but never really "hip". The reception area is grand and well-appointed, but the front desk is in a kind of a cage-like structure that seems to reflect the approach to the hotel as almost an after-thought. Check-in was pretty impersonal, the rooms decent, but nothing special (although the bed was very comfortable) and there was little contact with any human being. I did ask the mini bar lady for a cork screw and when none arrived five hours later I went to the bar to ask to borrow one. The bartender asked for my name and room # and then mumbled something about having to see the bottle or whatever..... The reception area is a great place to hang out, but I'd pass staying at the hotel. I tried walking from both the Dupont Circle and Woodley Park metros, neither of which were easy or convenient. Just FYI.

Great business and leisure ”
Really cool hotel with great meet/social spaces. People are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Would stay at the Line DC every time I am in DC,

Slightly overrated”
While the location was excellent and the style was trendy, the use of brass isn't the best idea as it was turning green in mot places in our room. The shower worked poorly and the doors were difficult to close. In fact, we were initially given a room where the front door wouldn't open at all. They offered a different room (and a bottle of champagne :) of which the bathroom door often stuck. Wee were charged for a night that we did not stay and I had to request a refund several times. The staff was very nice about telling me it would be taken care of, but still , even after our stay, it hasn't. I'll have to call AGAIN.

One of the coolest places in DC”
As my husband put it, this is the closest place to NYC vibe that DC has. The Line hotel is one of the coolest venues in DC, the architecture, design and story of the building are fascinating. In addition, the staff, the lounge area and the awesome menu, including drink selection, make the place perfect. And our son (6yo) really liked it too, running around the hall ways and lounging. The place has a special feel and we appreciated all the careful interior choices. Finally, the price was amazing for the value, a hard to find experience in DC these days. We would stay again!

We were a couple of seniors in the neighborhood visiting family. Although the clientele is mostly young people, the diverse young staff , for the most part, were friendly and considerate of us.

Horrible service takes away from lackluster facilities”
Really terrible service—had to call and request housekeeping after several days, stuck waiting for slow employees to open the door to the hotel in the evenings, food was not good or worth the absurd in-room dining prices, every employee I encountered was too busy chatting or on Bluetooth to respond to any inquiry. Overall, the rooms are cute at best but feel dingy and in need of a good coat of paint. Facilities would need to be absolutely remarkable to make up for the service. This is a 2 or 3 star hotel at best; loads of other options nearby that are a far better value for the money.
