Delightful boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Yangon”
The Loft was the first place we stayed in Burma and we couldn't have had a better landing. The space is sleek and modern, with really comfortable rooms (good A/C), super friendly English-speaking staff, and a fantastic location in downtown Yangon. We loved the little touches like the L'Occitane toiletries and the photos of local people in the room. The Loft is located really close to some of the most highly-recommended restaurants and cafes in TripAdvisor, as well as a famous local market, the Bogyoke Aung San Market and the Yangon Railway station, where you can hop on the circular train. It was also pretty walkable to most of the sights in downtown Yangon, as well as just a short taxi ride away from famous sights such as the Shwedagon Pagoda. I also liked that the hotel featured products made by local cooperatives and artists. It made it easier for tourists to buy fair-trade/local products that they might not have known where to find otherwise. Food was great although a bit pricey.

Excellent accommodation - central boutique hotel in Yangon”
If you're planning an international vacation and are considering something different, then travel to Myanmar. Two recommendations are easy to make: (1) book your stay at The Loft in downtown Yangon and (2) hire tour Guide "Han" from Toursbylocals.com. The Loft is a funky and cool boutique hotel in the capital city of Yangon, Myanmar (formerly known as Rangoon, Burma). Reasonably priced, The Loft is fashionably decorated in a funky, cool style with super clean rooms, hallways and common spaces. The main floor restaurant and lounge is run by Chef Ludovic Carptuant and serves the best French cuisine outside of France. In room air-conditioning provided daily relief from the constant heat and humidity outdoors. Front desk, concierge and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. For two veteran business travellers who have seen a lot of hotels over 20 years, we are not exaggerating when we rate this hotel with 5 stars - as good as any top hotel we've stayed in.

We wished we could stay longer!”
We know Yangon hotel prices are high, so we figured we might as well splurge and spend a bit more for some place decent. The Loft easily exceeded our expectations! From the moment the front doorman and security staff welcomed us and helped us with our bags, and the super helpful and knowledgeable front desk staff answering all our questions, we knew this was going to be a good night. But the room... wow... We forgot we were in Myanmar! It's so well designed and decorated. We were told it was a suite, but it's really more of a very spacious room, large enough to house a small sofa, coffee table, desk, and office chair. The bed and linen were so comfortable, we didn't want to leave for our day tour. And the toiletries were from L'Occitane! The location was fantastic. Just outside there are streets of restaurants, cafes, shops, and a school (very fun to people watch). It's within walking distance to the circle train (highly recommended!), and minutes by taxi to downtown. The one thing that really disappointed us was the breakfast. I ordered a fried rice which was very little with an egg on top. My fiancee got the crepe, and it was also tiny (and hard and chewy). Our two small dishes with tea. That's it. No fruits, no bread, no sides, nothing. Luckily, a very yummy shan noodle place was nearby.

Outstanding Stay at The Loft”
To keep it short, my stay at The Loft Yangon was simply brilliant. The place is a classy boutique hotel, and excels in terms of location, staff performance, room design and amenities as well as comfort of room. Staff always had a smile, ready to help with anything and speak decent English. Breakfast at Alex's was classy and brilliant, the options are slightly limited but the food and beverage offerings were fresh and excellent. The room - brilliantly-designed, ultra-comfortable and provided everything that you need for a comfortable stay. If you ask me there is no need to consider staying anywhere else in Yangon, this place is perfect! The room rate is slightly on the high side, but hotels are definitely not cheap in Yangon!

The Loft is a lovely, quiet, well equipped small hotel with exceptional service from friendly staff”
If you’re looking for an alternative to the large Yangon hotels The Loft is perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated with calm low lighting, very comfortable beds and enormous bathrooms. Good hot water pressure in the shower, nice touches like L’Occitane products. The breakfast in the attached restaurant is outstanding - you can choose from a menu rather than the usual buffet and the staff were happy to provide lots of food (we usually had fruit with muesli, followed by a savoury plate - eggs benedict was a standout with a great hollandaise). Good coffee and a range of teas. The set dinner menu of European food was good value if you fancy something other than Burmese food. The friendly bar staff make exceptional cocktails (a really good margarita). The location is great - very close to all the downtown life but tucked away and quiet enough that you are woken by birdsong. Best of all is the lovely helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Great, Clean, Convenient!”
Enjoyed my stay at the Loft Hotel. For Yangon, the wifi worked incredibly well. Also, I arrived quite early, and the staff welcomed me to check in around 11am, well before the check in time of 2pm. Staff are extremely friendly and always welcomes you with a warm smile. The hotel is conveniently located and you can walk to all the sightseeing locations of Yangon, including the Shwedagon Pagoda (about a 25 min walk), Lots of eateries within the location and foreign friendly restaurants. The shower strength was strong, and good hot water. It is pricey for Yangon, but you get what you pay for!

best hotel in yangon”
we stayed here twice and wished we could actually move in. great location near the bogyoke market and right near the tailor shop who accepted to make a ton of dressed for me in just 3 days! from this hotel location you can easily walk to sule pagoda, theingyi zay market, the colonial house and a lot more! if you can we rec you get the breakfast too because their croissants are served still warm from the oven! the restaurant is very good too but a bit expensive if compared to the local cost of living. the street you will find some cafes and fast food restaurants. the staff is very friendly and helpful, super patient with very nagging customers too. the owner has 2 very cute dogs who spend their day in the gravel backyard where you can also go smoking. the decor of the room, the a/c, the bed + linens are top! needless to tell you: super quiet despite the very central location. my auntie and i dream to go back to the tailor and stay at the Loft Hotel in Yangon!

Great Location with awesome staff!”
So I normally stay in the large chain hotels due to points and frequent stay status. This hotel has me rethinking that philosophy. The staff was fantastic, better than many of the 5 star hotels I have been in. The location was perfect for exploring the city as a traveler. The room was great, especially the in room coffee maker, I am already thinking of buying one for my home. The breakfast is a menu of made to order that is very good (but not all you can eat for those who want that). The food in the lounge/restaurant (also where breakfast is served) is really good and some of the best we had during our days in Yangon (good quality and mid-range on price). Staff was more than happy to arrange some tickets for us and talk over sight seeing plans as we don’t like tours. Although I can’t say enough good about our stay there are a few spots to improve. USB or power plug ins are needed on both sides of bed (2 people usually have at least 1 or more devices each that need charging). In our room we had to unplug the lights from underneath the bedside stand to use the plug in for devices - a simple powered USB hub on each side would be perfect and would eliminate the need for travel power adapters. The shower needed strategic bath mat arrangement to direct water to the non-shower drain (I live in Asia and this seems to be a common issue in even some 5 star hotels). Lastly, it was listed as exercise facilities but did not indicate that it was off-site about 4 min walk away (minor but should be noted, gym was fantastic though) All of these are minor issues but should be noted. In the end, I highly recommend the hotel - you can’t beat the combination of quality of stay, location and staff.

Nice modern boutique hotel”
The Loft Hotel was a nice comfortable stay and the rooms are quite large. Internet speed is decent with some buffering if watching video's from YouTube. The rooms are very modern brick and wood design, reminiscence of Thai boutique hotel designs. Good use of wood materials and design - modern and chic. The cafe seems partly furnished, as only a corner has tables and chairs available. At night, the cafe is closed and nothing is available (not even simple coffee). Have to go around the corner to Cafe 365 (near ParkRoyal) to get a caffeine fix. Nearby the hotel is a famous beef noodle cafe (approx. 150 metres). Location the hotel is pretty much in downtown and a good launching point for meetings. For the on-the-ground traveller, the Bogyoke market is only a 10 mins walk from the hotel.

Great boutique hotel in Yangon”
Wanted a boutique style hotel for my wife and my final night in Yangon. Very stylish rooms which were nice and comfortable. Located in downtown Yangon so about 1 hour drive from airport during rush hour. Very helpful staff (I injured my leg and they provided me with plasters and antiseptic). Staff also gave lots of tips on what to do in Yangon. Hotel within walking distance of lots of nice authentic places to eat, including Shan noodles and curry.

Equisite small hotel in an interesting area”
Just loved my stay jere and wished I could jave stayed longer, leaving only to visit my expat family. This is a place with stylish detail, comfortable rooms and decor that makes you want to hang around in. however the city beckoned and around the corner is one of the best coffee places in town (Easy Cafe) and a Shan restaurant, further along the same street and on the corner..The main sity market is also around the corner.. It is an easy 15-20 minute walk into down- town Yangon. Back to the hotel, it is an oasis from the bustle of downtown, off the main heavily traficced streets and on a small one way lane there was very little ( if any) street noise which made for a good sleep. Breakfast the next day, florentine eggs was perfectly cooked. So glad I found this hotel and HIGHLY recommended

Hidden garden”
This is a lovely hotel located in Yangon Downtown, convenient for sightseeing. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious,... Hotel hosts quite atm popular restaurant (Alex's) where U can enjoy some quite nice food combinations. We didn't try breakfast, so we cannot comment. On a bit negative side, this hotel doesn't have swimming pool on-site (still U can use swimming pool in a Park hotel nearby). We liked hospitality and hotel design a lot. Still, the best thing in this hotel is its secret garden where U can hide from daily craziness, heat, & traffic and enjoy lovely cocktails in the shade of exotic plants.

Great Stay at the Loft Hotel”
I stayed one night at the Loft Hotel, knowing nothing about this hotel before. When I arrived, the fresh fragrance calmed me after a very bad trafficking of Yangon from the airport to the hotel. And then the friendly and helpful staff at the receptionist desk add more comfort to me and finally the room itself if the confirmation that I spent my money for a good stay :)

Perfect location, great room and wonderful staff”
The hotel is located near the Parkroyal hotel downtown. Ideal location to start your sightseeing tour. Staff was very friendly and the service couldn't be better. Hotel room is spacious, clean and has this unique 'LOFT" style which I liked very much. A new restaurant concept is coming up end of the year but the renovation noises were minor (I couldn't hear a thing). Breakfast is served a la carte (no buffet available) which is great as all F&B items are fresh and not cold (like on most of the buffets). No worries, you can order as much as you want. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend this hotel.

Central downtown boutique hotel ”
Very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. Clean and beautifully designed rooms. Restaurant serves great food, nice cocktails and has some nice wines. The hotel is very centrally located in downtown Yangon so a trip to the river where you can make the crossing to Dalah should not take more than 10 minutes. At walking distance a variety of restaurants, eateries and bars can be found.

Great value”
very good price for the modern style room. Location was central and not so far from the airport. Bathroom was modern but simple and lacked some features like extra towels and personal care items. Dry cleaning NOT available the same day even when I offered to pay double - only available the next afternoon regardless of the time I turned it in the day before. Staff were great and spoke English well enough. Wifi in the room was strong and reliable. Room style was modern and the bed, linens, and pillows were quality and comfortable. Hotel has a nice warm friendly feel. 10 minute walk to the Shwe Dagon Pagoda.

Attentive staff, clean and modern ”
During our stay at The Loft Hotel, it was clear that staff members are very attentive and willing to help throughout the trip. For us this was a good hotel because it was much more affordable than the international hotels, but The Loft still offered clean modern rooms at a reasonable price. I believe this is one of the newer hotels and was still undergoing some work, such as the lifts were not in operation but we could see they were fixing it, also the bar/restaurant was incomplete. I would say the room and bathroom is on the bigger side, it was comfortable with plenty of space to move around. The hotel is located within walking distance to restaurants and the market, good location to buy gifts and souvenirs. However the only downfall i would say is the breakfast with a limited menu option, i believe we went during the low season not sure if this is the reason for a limited menu. But overall i would choose to stay in this hotel again and would recommend this to others.

Dreamy breakfast with right out of the oven croissants. the restaurant is pricy for local standards but good. the rooms are quiet. simply perfect! they even help you with your tours and transfers.

Fab boutique hotel”
A great boutique hotel, close to restaurants, Scott market and sightseeing. Staff very helpful and the rooms are a welcome haven after exploring the streets of Yangon. If you need to cool down and relax poolside the Parkroyal is 200 metres from The Loft and allows non guests to use for a small charge. Will definitely stay here again.
