Pretty Awesome! Lokha Legian”

Beautiful place overall. NIce room with poolview, balcony leads directly to the pool. Breakfast was simple but good enough. Staff was polite too.
TV was too high up, being perched on a stand near stuck to a wall.

My boyfriend and I had a superb time at this hotel, especially coming from a nearby budget hotel where we experienced a blackout with no airconditioning (and dared not open the balcony doors because it was on the second floor) on our first night in Bali. Lokha Legian met our expectations, considering the price although breakfast could have been better. I read from a review at this site that the banana pancakes are a must-try, and boy! is it a must-try. We had a complimentary 15 minutes massage at the hotel's outdoor villa but really, it felt like nothing because fifteen minutes of light tickles just didn't weren't what massages were supposed to be. We were most impressed by the room and the overall environment at this hotel. Safe and friendly environment here at the Lokha Legian.

best hotel in legian :)”

swimming pool, restaurant and staff are beautiful.

me and my friend stayed here at the lokha and at first were hesitant when booking it as we didn't really know much about it, and only looked at reviews and photos of it. let me tell you! the photos don't do the place justice! this is possibly my favourite hotel i have ever stayed at, ever. the staff are lovely, the swimming pool is big enough for everyone staying there, you are able to always get a lounge when wanting to relax by the pool and the breakfast in the morning is amazing. banana pancakes are the best :)! the only downside to breakfast was that there was no option to have water whilst eating, unless it was purchased. however, they do provide juices such as orange juice etc. the room we stayed in had 2 double beds which in my opinion could fit two people on each but i was quite happy with one the myself! very comfy as well! the restaurant out the front of the lokha called sarpinos had the best pizza i think in bali. and because the lokha offers one free pizza (each guest) on the first night of arrival, it was even more appealing! the price we paid for this accomodation was reasonable and very well worth it as everything here is awesome :).

A very pleasant surprise”

Friendly staff, lovely pool, very good restaurant.

legian is a very bustly, busy area and i had read that the lokha was an oasis in the middle of it all - and it certainly is. (be aware that the pavements around the area are not pedestrian friendly. if you or your party have any disability, or are not particularly agile, this could really be a problem). i'll start with the 'cons'. we were on the top (2nd) floor, and the hotel does not have a lift. our cases were brought up for us and it didn't cause us any problems at all, but again,it's just something to be aware of. the pool area is lovely, but is arranged around a square area, so there are not many sunbeds in the sun at any given time of day. again, no problem for us, but you need to give this thought if you want either morning, or afternoon pool/sun time. on the plus side, the staff were unfailingly friendly, smiling and helpful. our room was large, if a little bland. the tv has a reasonable range of international channels, the shower was strong with lots of hot water, there is bottled water and tea/coffee-making facilities and slippers provided. breakfast was fine and we had two very nice meals in the restaurant in the evenings. there is no wifi in the rooms, but it is available in the lobby area, foc. the lokha is literally a few minutes walk from the beach and, in the other direction, to a main street. you can walk to seminyak along either the beach prom or the main street very easily, but cabs are very inexpensive. outside the hotel, we were approached by a lovely guy called made offering driving services, and we took him up. we had a great day out with him at a perfectly good price, and saw and learned even more about the island - and indeed he took us to the airport when we left the following day. if we find ourselves back in legian, we would happily stay at the lokha again. good value, lovely people, clean and pretty.

The Lokha Legian - a place we'll visit again”

rooms were as described - beautiful. staff were amazing and helpful. pool and pool bar a definate haven. location was perfect!
I wish they'd include the taxes in their food / drink prices.

A friend and I went to Bali for the first time, just for a week's escape leaving the children and husband at home. From the moment we stepped out of our transport we were greeted with genuine warmth. As two females, never been to Bali before we arrived feeling nervous but felt safe and secure our entire stay. The rooms were extremely comfortable and had beautiful views over the pool. The Pizzeria is to die for. I think we dined on pizza at least once every day and there was nothing better than a dip in the pool and a few cocktails at the pool bar after a busy day of shopping or massages. What truely made this a beautiful stay was definately the staff - from the cleaning crew to the bar and restaurant crew to the reception and security staff - who even organised transport to take us to an incredible seafood restaurant on the beach at Jimbaran Bay to watch the sunset and then drive us back again. Whilst not necessarily designed to be a 'kid friendly' hotel, we can not wait to take the family and stay at The Lokha Legian next year.

Exceptional”

The Lokha Legian is a smaller resort but great value for money. It was cheaper than some other top hotels but still had everything you could want. It is in a fantastic location, close to great restaurants, shopping, mini marts, legitimate money changers and easy walking distance to the beach. The staff were always friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a happy one. The pool was amazing with a swim up bar that had happy hour and lunch specials every day. The buffet breakfast which was included in the price was delicious as was all the meals we had there. We will definitely be back.

Absolutly loved it!!!”

We always like to stay somewhere different, we've stayed at the Padma, Legian Beach Resort, Stones, Pullmans and others. However after staying at The Lokha we wont stay anywhere else from now on. We loved that all the rooms over looked the pool. We had 1 ground floor pool side room which we used as a base if we were all in the pool and the kids wanted to watch a movie or have a sleep we could still hang out in the pool and see the room. The rest of the family had upstairs rooms and they were all lovely. The smallness of the hotel made it a lot more friendly and easier for everyone to catch up as you didn't have to trek through a big hotel to find people. We loved that you could sit in the pool all day and eat and drink and it didn't break the bank. The hotel was super clean and rooms were well cleaned everyday, the staff were all lovely and made fun for the kids. The location is right near Garlic lane and 2 minutes from the beach. We Loved it and have booked already to go back.

April 2010”

The Staff
Stairs to 3rd Floor, Drinks at pool bar very weak may be watered down. Pool closes to early of an evening 7pm

We Booked a room at the Lokha Legian and on arrival were given the 3rd floor. There is no lift so in Bali,s very hot weather you wouldnt want to have to go to your room very often in the middle of the day. We had 4 nights on the 3rd floor which I couldnt complain about as the room was very nice with a massive king size bed in it well I think it was bigger than a king size bed. We asked to be moved to a pool side room which they did for us. This was so much better and a very nice room. The Lokah was central to everything for us and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again. The staff are so friendly and helpfull with all requests. I would have liked the pool to stay open longer as after dinner it would be nice to cool down in the pool.

Great little hotel in a fabulous location”

The size, cleanliness and location

I booked in at The Lokha Legian, knowing very little about it. On arrival, I was very pleased. It is a gem of a hotel, one of those finds that you know you will always book with again. The pool area is fantastic, the rooms are clean and spacious, the bathrooms were lovely! I shared with a friend so we halved the cost of the room, and we were both very happy. The receptionist was lovely and super helpful, and prior to my visit, all emails were answered quickly (sometimes within minutes!) and succinctly. I have found a lovely hotel at a decent price, and I will definitely stay there again!!

Good Pool & Pool Bar, Child Friendly

Had a great 3 day stay at the Lokha Legian, with my 9 year old son, mother who cant walk to far, so the grounds, room and location was great for her limited ability. Breakfast was great, made to order bananna pancake won me over as i am a huge fan. All in all would return to this hotel. It was great and value for money. The only thing was the shower was hard for my mum to access as you step up into a spa bath, and the shower head was strange. But we got around this and was not a bother.

A delightful Hotel”

Loved the size, about 50 rooms only so never great mobs of people anywhere, the pool always felt personal even though not huge by some standards, the staff were always polite and helpful, most spoke good or at least understandable English. Great location, plenty of shopping within an easy walk of the hotel and if you wanted to we walked regularly to Kuta and once to Seminyak from the hotel.Circle K and Mini Mart stores within 100 meters either way. There is also a legit money changer just down the road. I stayed there with my 3 sons aged 17,15 and 13 and all had a ball.
The noise factor in the hall outside the rooms, it was a little echoey and noise traveled, but I haven't stayed anywhere yet that is any different really. Breakfast could have done with a little more variety for those who don't eat eggs and couldn't partake of their excellent omelet station, but do try their banana pancakes.

Overall a lovely small family orientated hotel. The staff were always helpful and spoke good English. The facilities were fine, being a small hotel it didn't need a huge pool, there were always loungers available around the pool and no towel police, if you forgot to sign it back in they just collected it from your room. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, no flat screens and the picture is typical of the region but who goes on holiday for the TV right ? They have a great pizza parlour attached to the complex, "Sarpinos", which you can order from within or separately from the hotel, even at the pool bar. The road outside and it's side streets are full of dining choices we really enjoyed Mozzarellas, Sheppys, and our favourite, Billys Bar. My eldest son has a severe nut allergy and we took epipens with us but never once needed them. Everyone in Bali is selling something and the prices vary dramatically, but for the best value we found, try a guy called Johnny at Bagus Bar just off the main street in Kuta by the Memorial, he had some unbeatable specials for water sport activities. Loved The Lokha and it's handy location.

Great size rooms, service terrific, room service great, pool service also great and reception staff

john and i have not been to bali for 30 years the first time and we both, at separate times, spent out time in kuta. we have been lucky for both of us now together to spend time and decided to spend time in legian and have found the lokha a great hotel to stay at with so much friendly service, room service and also the friendly staff throughout the premises. we did stay on the 3rd floor, but when we come next time we will be on ground level to enjoy the pool location and alos to have a bit more pampering with massages etc. we would and have recommend to our friends and collegues at home in perth and we will be back again.

Fantastic Hotel, great location, friendly staff, big rooms and very comfortable beds

Our stay was wonderful at The Lokha Legian. The location was ideal for enjoying the buzz of shopping on Padma & Melasti Sts, and of course, Garlic Lane....Once you entered the hotel, from busy Padma St, you felt a million miles away - very relaxed and haven-like. The rooms were large and very clean and comfortable. Room Service was always very quick. Staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. It really was a great Hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again - and recommend the Hotel to others.

It was within my budget and had all my requirements as well as a awesome breakfast. I wouldnt recommend hiring a bike. Take a taxi, its cheap.

Location, room size and pool

I loved the lokha. It ticks every box. It has a fantastic location close to shops, resteraunts and the beach. The rooms are lovely and big and ours had two queen size beds. The pool's like a lovely oasis from the bustling streets outside the hotel. The lokha is now the only hotel I will stay at when visiting Bali and I would reccommend it to everyone. The only thing that I would say that would be an improvement is if the free wifi could also be available in the rooms. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Great location and layout!”

Location, atmosphere & friendly staff

This was our first stay at The Lokha as we normally stay elsewhere in Bali, but I must say I was impressed. Small friendly hotel and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing holiday with hubby!Loved the pool bar, great size rooms, great aircon & the best pizzas in Bali! Any food we had was lovely although the breakfast selection was quite small & limited considering the price you pay.I think the price per night was quite high for Bali considering what they have to offer, but the location for us was perfect. We will be back but booking always through Agoda as the hotel prices are much higher and they will not price match :)

Great hotel with very welcoming, warm staff”

We love the fact that it is a small complex, close to all the shops, restaurants, beach and taxis. We love that you don't have to walk miles to get out of the property, just walk out of the lobby and your are in the street. e on the street.

This is our 5th stay at the Lokha. We have stayed there as a family and as a couple. The staff treat us like family, they are so welcoming and friendly and are very accommodating with any request we have. We love the fact that it is a small complex compared to some of the larger more impersonal hotels. We love the idea of walking out of the lobby and straight onto the street and not having to walk a long distance through hotel grounds to get to the street. The rooms and beds are large and comfortable. The air conditioning always works! We love the breakfast and feel you get a good variety each morning. The pool, although not huge has a swim up bar and we've never seen it overcrowded. If you have a special occasion the restaurant staff will go out of their way to make it special. Our family all love staying at the Lokha and would highly recommend it.
