Just a 3-minute drive from the heart of Coober Pedy, The Lookout Cave Underground Motel features free Wi-Fi and BBQ facilities. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator. Lookout Cave Motel is a 2-minute drive from Umoona Opal Mine and a 3-minute drive from Wrightsair Aircraft Charter & Scenic Flights. Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away. All rooms feature a toaster and ironing facilities. The bathroom has a shower, a toilet and towels and linen are provided. Some rooms have a kitchen, a dining area or a DVD player. Each room is naturally cooled or warmed depending on the season. You can relax outdoors on the rooftop terrace, and watch the sun rise or set. Free undercover parking is provided.

Cozy underground experience”
This underground motel is well decorated and we feel it an awesome place to stay, it costs us a little more money but the value is not low. It is our 1st time to experience an underground accommodation and we loved it. It is highly recommended to stay at this motel if you are travelling to Coober Pedy.

Excellent stay! Only in town for one night but would have gladly stayed longer. If we ever go back to Coober Pedy, we would certainly stay there again!

Very apt to be staying in a coober pedy in coober pedy. Comfortable clean and good value, all positive, only one issue not enough power points. If thats all can wrong thats pretty good
Nice enough hotel for coober Pedy”
Bed was comfortable, room was a bit expensive but I guess that's just coober pedy. Once you're in your room its just like any other motel. The area on top of the roof is a great place to look out over coober pedy. Coober pedy itself is an unattractive dump.

The motel is great with underground rooms very comfortable and cool. All ur facilities are there toaster coffee and tea. Very close to town and discount given to guests at several restaurants. Staff very helpful. Well worth the stay. Quite affordable. Recommend over other hotels in area.

A hidden gem. These guys have an amazing underground experience waiting for everyone. Clean plenty of room with a well appointed motel. We stayed in room 5 which away from the ‘main corridor ‘ When we went to view the rest of the premises it was amazing.
Paradise in the desert”
It was so awesome staying in a motel dug underground into a hill. Clime the hill for spectacular 360 degree views and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. So much to do in town and most within walking distance if you're so inclined. Quiet and very comfortable definitely worth staying in

We picked it because we wanted to try cave living - and the rooftop lookout with a panoramic view of the city was a bonus!

Underground Motel ”
A very pleasant surprise, only negative was our first nights sleep badly disturbed by a very noisy late arrival group of Asian tourists talking excitedly unttil late after midnight leading us to havw to get out of bed and tell them to have some consideration for others. The management were very responsive next morning and issued warnings to those staying on for another night. The second nightmarewas significantly quieter though banging doors in the morning rush to get moving were also quite loud. This is more a reflection on other ggueststhan the accommodation but the underground layout exacerbates the pproblem with hard reverberative surfaces.

Great underground experience , close to town via driving . We stay 1 night with a 10 month baby , cot was provided . Overview it's good. Beware if you need to use microwave it's in the reception and no washing provided in the site was told to do it cross the road
