Pro’s Room very large. Breakfast brought to and served in our room. Big outside balcony. Some nice home comforts. Cons. Pillows quite high and hard (problem for me, not my wife).

Comfortable accommodation with friendly hosts and staff. Enjoyed having breakfast outside each morning and learning more about the history of the area. A good base to explore and visit - good golf course but tricky in the wind.

We only spent one night but it was wonderful. Louise was very accommodating when we requested a late check-out. We didn't have breakfast but the kitchen was stocked with coffee/tea, rusks, cereal and milk. Bed was super-comfy and the apartment very neat and tidy with modern bathroom. The only negative comment is that the bathroom in unit 2 doesn't have a window, only an extractor fan. Otherwise a very lovely stay!

Nice place. A bit far away from the beach, although there is a sea view. The room was large with an open place kitchen & lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Very neat and tidy and fully equipped for self catering. On the down side, the towels had a musty smell. The owners have a key to the rooms and they come in and out as they like, which pissed me off (if I don't answer the door, don't take it upon yourself to open up and come in). The fruit bowl and sides at breakfast were good, although if you do not eat pork or beef then there is limited variety.

Our stay at The Lookout Guest House was really enjoyable. Our hosts, Louise and Alan, were very welcoming and attentive. The room was really well furnished/equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and served in our room. I highly recommend this guest house to anyone staying in Port Alfred, the views are amazing.

port alfred is an interesting area, offering a range of attractions. local beaches are excellent, there are some good restaurants, the best of which was recommended by the lookout's proprietor. the proprietor ensures daily contact with guests and is a wealth of local knowledge. breakfast, served in or outside your room, was very good. unit 2 was rather warm at night and we missed having air conditioning.
