Near Airport, Beside Ka Lui, Friendly Staff”
Location, Staff, Ambiance
There were a lot of Negative reviews about Lotus Garden but i am easy to please so i really do not give negative reviews easily. The staff of Lotus Garden were friendly. The room we got was big and it had an outdoor bathroom. There are obvious signs of wear and tear but it did not really matter. I really liked how the hotel looked like. It had an exotic design which i really liked.

A nice little place to just take a breath”
Fairly large room, nice breakfast, good location
very easy trike ride from the airport, one could actually walk it in just a few minutes. upon arrival we were told there was somebody waiting for us back at the airport - nice touch even though we didn't realize it. room was very clean with a flat screen tv and very comfortable bed. hot water wasn't a problem and the provided breakfast of a fried egg, fresh fruit, coffee, and fresh warm bread (pandesal) was very nice though some foreigners will surely complain about it. 2 night stay was just too short, so plan on going back for another trip later this year.

Short Stay”
Location, Friendly, accomadating
The short stay was pleasant for the price paid. The ambiance was relaxing as it stuck well to it's Japanese Garden theme. The staff were very, very pleasant and helpful. They tended to our needs ASAP. Our room was supposed to be the suite, however, there were some issues with the water. No problem with us. We were then showed a different room-the Garden view room. A bit confused of where the bathroom/shower was-it was outside in the mini garden. Quite impressed and it definitely sold us. I mean who wouldn't wanna shower outdoors in the buff with nature. They even provided some citronella for those pesty mosquitoes. You may have some other visitors while out there (lizards and frogs), but don't be afraid they're just helping out with the mosquitoes ;) But I did have some qualms about the room. The room was a bit dated, didn't bother us. Not enough outlets-made it work. My biggest issue-Sheets were stained & AC unit was weak. But, We asked for a fan and didn't make a big fuss-we were out of the room most of the time. Wifi only available in lobby. No safe in the room. The hotel grounds is beautiful for what and where it is, some minor up-keeing is needed on the ponds. BUT, Stay at the Lotus Garden Hotel if you aren't the type to freak out about everything. All in all great stay. Pros: -close to airport -close to restaurants and establishments (50peso tricycle ride just about everywhere) -Friendly staff -free breakfast -Relatively safe area Cons: -Weak AC -dirty sheets -wifi in outdoor lobby

Lovely stay”
Room, hotel design, staff
Stayed here two nights before leaving for El Nido. Lovely hotel, nice environment, good location. Double room/cottage was large and comfortable with unique outside private ensuite shower. Nice idea, made for a pleasant stay. Some noise from early evening flights and local resto bar abit later but nothing to disturb me or put me off visiting again and just as expected for central location. Hotel helped arrange my tour to underground river and onward bus to El Nido. Not always cheapest way to arrange but certainly most convenient and saved me roaming the many tour shops so I was happy for the help. Would recommend hotel. Thanks to the staff for making me feel welcome.

Very Old and Dated ”
Airport transfer, location, Service
Rooms are very old and most of the ACs are not working. Very noisy establishment right beside it so if you are a light sleeper better pass. No generators for the frequent power interruptions in the area. The only good thing was that the staff tried their best and were very polite when we asked to switch rooms however, the hotel is old and moldy. We had to move hotels after the first night.

quality service and relaxing atmosphere”
great service, home feeling, delicious Asian cuisine
Our stay at The Lotus Garden Hotel was very nice. There was always a smiling face to greet us when we walked into the garden and throughout our stay. We stayed there 2 different times during our trip to Palawan and it was the same staff there the whole time. You can also see the kitchen from the fine dining restaurant and the cooks prepare fabulous Asian cuisine. Both of these qualities add to the home-feeling that you get when staying at this hotel. However, there were 3 discomforts about the hotel - the "hot" water was not always hot in the shower but often scolding in the faucet; there was only one sheet for an aircon room which you could not adjust, leaving us very cold at night; and the wifi connection was very poor.

Relaxing”
Very nice gardens, friendly staff, close to the airport
The gardens and the room are very beautiful. We chose the hotel because of the outside bathroom and it was really fun. They don't have shuttle to the airport, which is actually 10 min away by walk, but they can assist with the tricycle. Some guests complain about the mosquitoes, but this is due to the Philippines climate, not the hotel management. The prices are actually a little bit higher than in other restaurants/hotels in the town.

A romantic and idyllic little hotel”
The gardens/grounds, the hotel restaurant, conveniently located
We had a brief stay but it was a nice little oasis in the small town of Puerto Princesa. The grounds at Lotus Hotel are really quite beautiful and zen like. The restaurant was quite good (but make sure you try the top rated seafood restaurant in town just next door!). Bed was comfortable, the bathroom is actually outside but it's quite a romantic set up.

Quiet and comfortable”
Located just next door to KaLui, Nice concept for the garden, Easy access to major department stores and market
Their rooms are comfortable however signs of aging can be noted on the furnishings. We were given an open bathroom that needs getting use to (especially since there's no place to put one's toiletries on for easy access and we had no hot water, so having a shower in the morning can be daunting). However, the location is great and the staff are accomodating.

one of the best budget hotels in the Philippines”
location, garden and restaurant, room size
This place is definitely one of the best budget hotels we stayed in the Philippines. The design of the garden and restaurant give it special atmosphere. Suite rooms are super cool, with high sealing and outside bathroom. We had no problems with mosquitos as soon as we put the aircon on and the room got cooler. Maybe it needs a bit of clean up, as there was a bit of dust here and there, but overall clean sheets and towels. Highly recommended!

Comfortable but problematic”
Close to Kinabuchs and Ka Lui - great rdining experience in Puerto Princesaesto
As hotel has garden with ponds, major concern of every guest are mosquitoes breeding in stagnant waters. Water pressure is low and hotel staff cut water supply after midnight. Cable TV was not working during our stay even after calling the attention of hotel management. Not recommended for families.

Nice hotel.”
Good location between the airport and town center. A lot of restaurants nearby. Well-equipped room. Beautiful garden bathroom. Friendly service. Good breakfast.
We stayed there for only one night, but we got a good impression. We liked the bathroom which was outdoors, but with privacy. Nice room, big bed. They had a computer with a printer (very slow, though) which we could use to book the next accomodation. The breakfast included a lot of fresh fruits.

Nive hotel with a Japanese touch”
Clean and close to the airport
our first room (hime) was big and nice. it was fun to shower 'outside' in our private garden (totally private). the food in the restaurant was very good, way above average compared to all other places we went too. little +: i had forgotten a plug in the room and was very grateful to the team when they gave it back to me when we came back at the end of our trip in pallawan! our second room was a lot smaller and not as lovely (but it was also cheaper - so it made sense) most important to us: it was clean and team very helpful. only shadow: the owner was not as welcoming as his team (he never smilled nor said hello to us.)

Few minute walk from the airport, garden right in my bathroom.
i was amazed by the beautiful tree house in the garden of the hotel. it brings me back memories of my childhood. nobody had mentioned about this feature. my room was excellent when weighed against the amount i paid. it made me give more tips to the housekeeper. the lotus pond is so beautiful and i love the morning when they are in full bloom. i did not expect that the lotus garden is literally a lotus garden.

Beautifully Lush Garden setting in the City”
Relaxing waterfalls in the garden, big comfy rooms
We were only going to stay in Puerto Princesa one night, then travel to El Nido .. but we really enjoyed our stay at Lotus Garden because of the big bed, the cozy room, and the beauty of the garden when we woke up the next morning. We were just sitting there in the little foyer area having coffee early, and we were just struck by the waterfalls and the Koi fish swimming in the pond .. so we decided to extend. My wife and I found this hotel to be very comfortable. The service was ok, not great, but just right. They left us alone and were attentive enough, which is what we needed. I loved this place because we realized we were really on vacation to enjoy! Thanks Lotus!
