Located in Penrith in Cumbria, just 7 miles from the Lake District Park, The Lounge Hotel & Bar offers a restaurant and a bar, just 5 miles from Lake Ullswater. What a delight.”

We only stayed 1 night on our journey to the ferry but will definitely stay again and use it as a base to explore the lake district. It is so comfortable and we were looked after by such friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. Add to this an excellent restaurant so we didn't have to move to eat even though there are several pubs & restaurants near by. We have no hesitation in recommending the lounge. Thank you all

Excellent hotel , Abbey and her colleagues were very helpful, nothing was not too much trouble for them. Lovely greeting going above and beyond . Gorgeous dinner and Breakfast , and lovely room.

Noisy”

The hotel in Penrith was ok, it needs some tlc and a lock of paint in the rooms and in the bar. There is a bar downstairs which was too noisy to fall asleep to, even on a Wednesday. Their was one guy that was super helpful but the other staff members seem completely indifferent and didn’t seem like they wanted to be there at all.

Friendly and comfy”

Room was pleasant and bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Had an evening meal in the pub. Food delicious. Breakfast excellent. Would definitely stay again.
