Very Nice Hotel - Value for Money”
I and my friends stay here and we all loved the place. The location is great, just a few steps away from the white beach. It's not beachfront though, but for me, the location is perfect because it's quiet, this is a good place if you're traveling with kids or the elderly or you just want to relax away from the nightlife of Puerto Galera. The room is comfy, the staffs are very helpful and accomodating, the ambiance is classy but at a very reasonable price. On our last day, we missed breakfast time because we go to island hopping, breakfast is until 9 am only and we arrived back at the hotel at 9:30 am and when I asked the reception if we can still take our breakfast the female receptionist immediately went to the kitchen and check if there's still food for us, they accommodated us even though the kitchen/dining area was already closed. Kudos to all the staff of Mang-Yan Grand Hotel, we will definitely go back here.

As they say when dealing with real estate: location, location, location. This hotel is perfectly situated behind the busy White Beach. It afford easy access to the restaurants around yet it offers a quiet atmosphere at night. Just wish that the workers start their shifts later for guests who would like to sleep longer. Also, please offer continental breakfast as a choice - only fried rice and meat or fried fish was offered. Also, either coffee OR juice, you can't have both. Will I stay here again? - Most likely.

Average hotel but pricey”
The hotel is new so expect that all furniture, fixtures and interior are immaculately clean and at tip top shapes. Location is not beachfront but about 200 meter walk, not bad. Reception desk and all staff provide above average quality service. Ample parking space too! However, here are things that need improvement. Given it's price tag I expect the ff: Cable tv reception is blurry, no hotel slippers for standard room, no coffee table or even a simple chair inside although the room is spacious enough you can fit in 7 people! No room rug/floor mat. I think I will return to this hotel but will try a different room. What I love about this hotel are: location, swimming pool, reception area, staff and spacious room.

The receptionist is nice and accomodating. The chek-in process was easy and simple. There were limited toiletries provided which is not sufficient enough for 4 of us. We have to buy our own toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap. For the price we paid, we thought it should have include them. Room is nice and clean. There were just ants and small coackcroaches I noticed. Water pressure is awesome. Water heater is perfectly working. Room AC is superb. Overall, experience is good but I might find other hotel that is cheaper with same amenities and benefits.

Modern hotel just off the sea front.”
Staff numbers were adequate and they were all very helpful and friendly especially on the front desk. Rooms are of sufficient size and always clean as was the hotel. Problem with hand basin water tap not fixed while we were there Breakfast was fair but little choice. For a modern hotel where today internet is necessary the wifi was very poor being only available in reception and not in the first floor bedroom.

Decent Hotel”
Pros: Location is excellent. Literally a few steps and you’re at the beach. There is also a great restaurant (Cafe Marco). I recommend you try their four cheese pizza and carbonara pasta. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good wifi connection. Cons: Most of the rooms have no windows at all!!! Sadly they failed to inform us prior to checking in. It felt like we‘re in a box the whole time.

Beautiful but underwhelming”
One of the most beautuful hotel in the place. But a but underwhelming in actual. Hotel's just a nearby walk to the beach and there's a lot of place to eat near the hotel; Cafe Marco, Terminal, Spice, Yummy's are just beside the hotel. There's a lot of flies(dead and alive) in the lobby during our check-in. Dunno whether someplace nearby is the culprit. Room is spacious but one electrical socket does not accept anything to be plugged in. Free water is one 500ml bottle per person per day. Bathroom now have a sliding door separating the shower area. And also make sure that you leave the beddings and towels in pristine condition during check-out since they charge even for a minor stain.

Overrated ”
Mang Yan does not deserve such high ratings as noted on Agoda. It seems the rating system is compromised. The hotel does not provide a refrigerator or a safe for valuables. In addition the hotel short cuts the water provided. The bottles are much smaller than bottles at other hotels. The towels were worn out and fraying. I could go on and on but will just say it's not as advertised for the price.

The power in the room we had is on and off for how many times. Kung di pa kami magrerequest na ilipat ng room, di pa gagawin. May ilaw naman sa hallway so we doubt na nagbbrown-out sa town. The staffs are not attentive sa needs ng guests nila. The restaurant they have has a signage of open, but really, no available food to serve.

Place is good but the water supply in the shower is very limited. You’ll almost run out of water when you travel with the family/group.
