Great Location, Good Staff, Water + Breakfast and Room Size”
Was quite happy with the choice of the hotel. The rooms were quite spacious for NY hotel. The staff was excellent at reception and breakfast. The location is 2 mins from the times square and its on the main road. You can even walk down to central park. So i would say its great choice, if you get right price. Only minor downside - the rooms are a bit old style. In NY thats true for many other hotels...
Excellent”
You will not be satisfied if you see this hotel a luxury one. The Manhattan Hotel at Times Square is just a three stars, old and traditional hotel and has high C/P. The price is cheep but location is excellent! It's very suitable for tourists who have low budget but wish to stay in the center of Manhattan.
Great Value”
I traveled with two girlfriends. The Manhattan Hotel was super easy to get to via train--two blocks from the closest train stop. We did not need a car at all. It was also a quick walk to the heart of Times Square. The staff ensured our stay was comfortable by asking us. I will definitely be back!
Manhattan Hotel at Times Square!”
My stay at The Manhattan Hotel at Times Square could not have been better. The staff was excellent. I was there with two pre-teen grandchildren. It was exceptional. The location was perfect! I would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location, staffs are helpful and nice”
Exactly located in Time square and broadway.. staffs are nice and helpful.. facilities are bit old but still great and nice.. the price is reasonable for the hotel located in the heart of New York
Great value - wonderful staff”
We spent a long weekend at the Manhattan Hotel at Times Square. The staff could not have been more pleasant. The room was clean - nothing special but it met our needs and was very reasonably priced.
Good Hotel for a Short Break”
The staff were quite helpful, nice, and accommodating. As soon as my room became available, they gave it to me even though check-in time was much later. Around are different diners, restaurants, and coffee shops. Also WiFi is free and not slow both at the lobby and in your room. Will consider booking here again when I go back. The hotel is near some NY attractions. And for farther places, there are always taxis parked in front of the hotel.
Sorry, Did not stay here .. But”
I had reservations here but the Covid shut down NYC and I was very grateful that the Manhatten Hotel understood the predicament, did not waiver but refund my money in it's entirety. I am grateful for their integrity and I would book a room with them the next time I am in NYC. It's by Times Square, for the price, can't get much better than that.
Best hotel I ever stayed at”
I was on a mission at NYC, namely to grant an interview at AP, but I arrived early in the morning after being kicked out from a friend's home, i was desperate to find a place to prepare for my TV interview, when arrived at the front desk, on the 11th around 9:10 am, a staff received with great care and considerateness, and quickly find me a room for quick check in. I was so touched and porter was also very helpful, giving lots of useful tips about the hotel and how to use hotel facilities. I stayed at the hotel last October with my wife, both time, we enjoyed staying the hotel, it was homy, and worth the money. Wonderful, thank you.
So much New York character”
We enjoyed our stay and felt that we could ask the staff for help at any time. It was a long wait for an elevator and many guests would comment on this. It would help if the room included a book of services available in the area like laundromats, tours, etc.We dropped off our bag of laundry around the corner and it was washed and dried and folded when we picked it up at end of day. The place was called 'Jins' and they charge around $15 for 5kg of clothing. We loved entering the lobby as it was always full of character and a good meeting place. You could get a coffee and muffin but what a shame that this 'grab n go' didn't turn into a bar in the evening and serve my favourite cosmopolitan. We would definitely return to The Manhattan Hotel! Oh and best of all, the journey to the airport was in an SUV limo and cost $50, what a luxurious way to leave New York city.
Great location”
Room was tidy. There is a need for the hotel to refurbish though. Carpets and towels seriously need to be changed. I asked for an early check-in and was granted so a plus. No fridge in the room - most probably you have to ask for it. Elevators are very busy. You have to wait a long time to get down and there are no indicators where the 4 elevators are at at any point. I've been using the service elevators as they proved to be faster. Location is the biggest plus of this hotel. it's just a few streets away from Central Park going uptown and almost the same distance going downtown to Times Square, if that's your cup of tea. Times Square doesn't sleep. Some shops/stores there are open till late or even for 24 hours like Duane Reade - handy if you are out all day and forgot to buy stuff like toiletries, mineral water or even shirts and souvenirs. Lots of food options as well. Just go uptown along 7th avenue and you will find all sorts of restos and pubs. I particularly don't like the crowd at Times Square so if you are in a hurry to get somewhere, don't walk through this area. Don't even think of taking a cab from this place. You will be stuck in heavy traffic. The subway would be the best option if you know how to work it.
A pleasant stay in a very strategic location”
This hotel is old but well maintained. The room is very standard but clean. The location is very strategic. It is opposite the Sheraton Hotel and some other big brands like Hilton etc. It is very Easy access to anywhere in Manhattan. The staff is friendly and caring. Michael the concierge team who kindly assisted me to use the service elevator -to shorcut a new big group who were queing for lifts- kindly remind me to always lock the toom door. A sincere kind gesture. The hotel atmosphere is warm and secured. I would definetely recommend this hotel.
5min Walk to Times Square”
Hotel was old but that makes the room was bigger than newer hotels with the same category. The highlight was the location - it was off Times Square but you can be in the middle of Times Square where the red stairs are in about 5min walk. So it was quieter compare to the hotels that are located in the heart of Times Square. Bathroom was small but enough. They provided good quality of bathroom supplies (body wash, etc) that smell like spa products.
Exceptional”
The staff here were awesome. So friendly and all keen to help out with anything we needed. My favourite thing about this hotel is the location, Times Square is only steps away. We had a nice view of it all from our room. Highly recommend!
Great location, needs an update”
For the price, this hotel is in a fantastic location. Very close to Times Square and within walking distance of Central Park and broadway shows.the rooms definitely need an upgrade as we had tiles in the bathroom that looked like they could fall off the wall at any minute. At the end of the day though we were.only in the room to sleep so who cares
Great location in a fare price ”
I loved so much the location of the hotel. The price is very fare compared to what you get and other places in the heart of Manhattan. The room was big. I don't recommend to upgrade for a high floor. Be aware for additional "services fee" per night - but even with that I think the price definitely worth it
Good clean hotel in a very good location”
The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful. The best thing about it is the location and hence the high price. It's perfectly placed for times square and central park as well as all the other key sights around the 7th and 6th avenue.
Moderate satisfaction ”
One of the best thing about the hotel is its strategic location which located in the heart of Times Square. Room is rather old, can hear ppl talking from the corridor. Hotel does offer water dispensing machine at every floor. Overall, we are still satisfy with the stay looking at the money paid for its strategic location.
Still good but not as good anymore”
This was the 2nd time we stayed here. We were the returning customers and that said enough about this hotel. Unfortunately this time we were not as satisfied as before. They have renovated the lobby but not the whole hotel yet. The room was dusty (especially in the corners) and elevators were not working properly (waiting time was long - it looked like only 1 elevator was working out of 4). The room also didn't have good sound-proof (perhaps we realized this now since there were group check-in full of noisy children who run around and shout). It wasn't the hotel's fault for the misbehaving children but it was just annoying. The great point of this hotel was the location in Times Square - central enough without being in the epicenter of the busy Times Square. Another one is the spacious room for a hotel with that location.
Great Location”
We had a good stay at this hotel. Very close to Central Park, Times square, shopping.Very busy hotel but the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. It is a nice area to stay in. I would recommend this hotel.
