Former pub turned into rooms ”
Read all the glowing reviews of maple manor, got to the “hotel “ externally looks pleasant enough , due to its proximity to the main airport runway there is lots of jet noise as the planes taxi for takeoff , Pressed the buzzer to gain access , door opened and I was asked for the code to a key safe to get the keys , the staff member got the keys for me then took me out the back door to the building to an annexe looked to have been converted from storage in the hotels pub era , Roon 7 awaited me white upvc plastic door , inside the room , even though aircon was on room extremely warm which is why the large fan has been provided , bedding clean enough but worst part was the sewage smell in the room emitting from the bathroom. In the bathroom dirty stained flooring awaits you , There is the white company toiletries to mask the sewage smell , Due to the smell and the aircraft noise , I didn’t stay in Maple Manor so didn’t get the chance to sample the delights of the continental breakfast , For the price you can stay at nicer places nearby , If you expect a hotel with all amenities then Maple Manor is not the place for you ,

Very nice place”
The place is very nice and convenient. The only issue is that the taxi drive from and to the airport is costly

Solo traveller at The Maple Manor”
The hotel had a lot of potential. It is relatively clean and looks inviting. However, as a solo traveller who had just arrived in the country I found it hard to navigate my way to the hotel. No taxi's were available and it is not close to a bus stop. This is not the hotel's fault, just something to be cautious of when booking. The room I was in needed maintainance. The curtain was broken and the windows were had to open/close. The door was very hard to lock and I needed to ask reception how to do it as it was not self explanatory. The room was quite hot, and only a duvet was provided, when really a sheet would have been more practical. The shower drain was blocked also, so I had to have a quick shower so as not to flood the bathroom. Breakfast was also a little disappointing, and not as grand as they promote it to be. There was toast, two selections of cereal and chocolate croissants available. Also the restaurant was closed when I was there which I was only told on arrival. So I had to order uber eats. The positive side was that the bed was comfortable and they had Netflix. For a one night stay I would recommend the hotel (assuming they fix the above issues).

If you drive it’s much better”
The towels were dirty and the morning staff wasn’t helpful….even with a small step there are cracking sounds (the floor)

Nice enough rooms but poor sleep.”
After a quick and efficient check in we were pretty pleased with the tidy and modern finish of the room. A compact bathroom and tea and coffee facilities too. However, despite it being April and a little chilly outside, the room was unbelievably hot? The radiator was off yet it was a really uncomfortable night. There was a big standing fan in the room which we turned on in the middle of the night but of course that was quite noisy. Also the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything from next door including conversation and plumbing. Overall because the point of staying was to get a good night's sleep pre flight, we wouldn't use again or recommend. (It was cheap though!)

Last minute booking before my my flight. Nice and close to the airport, very comfortable bed with bath and shower in the room, clean with brilliant staff. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.
