Really great location”
We had a choice of hotel options for 8 days of a business trip to London -based on reviews we chose the may fair hotel in London. It is a 5 star hotel with all of the convenience of its Mayfair location. Our room was pleasant, quite large for London with the lovely marble bathroom. Really, there are no complaints except that it was just another 5 star hotel with no soul! The lifts are slow, the housekeeping was not done promptly, we phoned each time we left the room to ensure it was done! Quince restaurant was excellent, the chef came and spoke to each diner.which is more than we can say for the hotel staff, it was like 8 days of being invisible! Really our advice would be to stay there if you want a good location without any hotel staff showing interest in your stay at the hotel whatsoever.
One of the best”
A perfect hotel in a perfect location! It was our 8th time in London and normally stud in Kensington area, this time we decided to try a different area and picked up May Fair Hotel. Absolutely happy with our decision, it's a great hotel with a very friendly and professional staff . Location is everything, walking distance to pretty much all the major places you wanna see. 5 min to Piccadilly ,Buckingham palace or Regens street. Overall we were happy and surprised! Definitely we'll stay there again.
Excellent location but not without its drawbacks”
Fabulous hotel, lovely staff and wonderful room. But suffers from the same fate as every hotel around Mayfair - that at night in spring and summer the wealthy boy racers of London come to flaunt their cars and delight in revving their engines and street racing down Piccadilly until the early hours of the morning. I'd still stay here again. But next time I'd ensure to ask for a quiet room (maybe the courtyard facing) so that my sleep is not disturbed.
Exceptional”
The May Fair Hotel is exceptional in everyway, it is our preferred Hotel when staying in London. However you do get what you pay for and unfortunately for Agoda the rooms allocated to your clients are the very back end rooms, therefore we are unlikely to use your service again.. But thank you for the opportunity to try
Fantastic hotel”
I had originally booked a room at the ritz for my birthday, but decided it wasn't worth it unless we were having afternoon tea etc. I wanted to stay in the same area, so I booked a deluxe room at the May Fair and saved nearly £200 in doing so. Upon arriving there, our bags were taken from us and we were shown to the check in desk. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and even upgraded us to a studio suite, which I have to say was very nice of him and we couldn't have been happier with he room. After we were given our keys, we were shown around their restaurant and the meats and fish that were on display. Sadly, we didn't get to eat there, but we will when we come back. I would recommend anyone to stay there. Great value for a 5 star hotel in this location and very friendly staff.
Beautiful room ”
Great location, king superior room was nicely designed and had plenty of space. All the hotel staff members were very helpful and accommodating to any requests. I would definitely recommend The May Fair to anyone traveling to London.
stylish, beautiful...excellent service!”
The Mayfair was the epitome in luxury. You could have anything you wanted at anytime. The staff were extremely friendly and made you feel at home from the minute you walk in. The decor was beautiful and the services within the hotel are excellent. The concierge were great and arranged entry into some of London's exclusive clubs/bars. Great location also...5 minute walk to all the designer stores on New Bond Street and further 5minutes walk to Oxford Street. I strongly recommend staying at The Mayfair
New Year Stay ”
Hotel was in a brilliant location with extremely helpful staff, We also visited the resteraunt The Mayfair Kitchen and the food was Delicious. I thought the room was a little on the small side for the price and as it didnt have a bath i was a little dissapointed. Also visited the Spa during our stay which was nice and relaxing however i would have liked a pool - i also feel this should have been complimentary with the price of £500 for a standard room
THE MAYFAIR HOTEL”
Excellent stay at the Mayfair for my birthday. The reception manager Daniele automatically upgraded our room and sent a bottle of bubbles to our room for my birthday which was a nice gesture. Great service all round from check-in to service in the restaurant. The Mayfair is a great location very near the Green Park tube and this made travelling around very easy. Would definitely stay there again.
Boutique and Trendy May Fair Hotel”
If you want a fun hotel in the centre of May Fair, this hotel is great. Across the street is Nobu and up the street Berkeley Square with access to the Guinea Fowl and Punchbowl pubs. A block away are all the happening Piccdilly night clubs. The hotel's bar is buzzing with excitement every day except sunday. Rooms are on the smaller side, so I suggest a higher room category. I got a terrific price and deal on Agoda.
Amazing hotel”
Cant say enough good things about this hotel. Everything was perfect from when we checked in. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The location is perfect, central London, within walking distance to everything and the restaurants we booked. We had lunch in the hotel, which was delicious. We asked for a late check out which was no problem. The reception staff was very accommodating. Exactly the type of service that you would expect from such establishment. Cant wait to come back!
Great location but small rooms.”
great location, fantastic dining options and anything you need is within walking distance. the sainsbury directly opposite the hotel is ideal for families with kids or just to get a bottle of water. however, i was rather perturbed by the request of a staff to check my minibar as they suspected that i had denied the consumption of a bottle of water from the mini-bar! i would still stay at mayfair again given it is value for money and the location is simply too good.
marvellous & fantastice hotel”
super delighted to stay in this fantastic n marvellous hotel! delicious breakfast especially the bacon n ham! room clean n comfortable & with free wifi. staff polite & helpful.. walking distance to bond street n happy shopping! nearby got london underground easy tranportation to various places.. although price not cheap but still recommended to stay on next trip!
Nice stay, great location”
All in all a great experience with really nothing to complain about, especially for the price I paid. Ok, the lights in the bathroom were a bit too dim for my liking, and if you are not into heavy, thick carpets, it may not be for you, however, other than that an impeccable stay. The room was relatively large and light even though it showed towards an inner yard, thus it was also very quiet, the breakfast buffet was extensive, staff was very friendly and helpful, complementary WiFi worked well, the bed was large and comfortable, enough cupboard space, everything was clean. Location right near Green Park tube station.
Great location with decent sized superior room”
Had a good 3 night stay in London. The hotel location is fantastic. 5 min walk to top shopping area and near the palace via green park. The service was good as expected for the price. Price is fair for the hotel and since it includes a proper breakfast, actually cheap compared to paris. Only thing is that the superior room i had had no slippers, bathroom had no rug and no coffee/tea. I kind of expected that to be thrown in. Also superior room rather small. I will prob take a bigger room in future.
Great location and excellent service”
It is perfectly situated right in the center of the Mayfair, a few minutes walk from Piccadilly square and the metro station, on the other corner from Green Park, not far from St. James and all the landmarks. Plus it has all required fitness facilities, i.e. a small but fully equipped gym.
Good hotel with good location”
Had a pleasant stay here at the May Fair during our holiday. The room was quite spacious, also the bathroom and the closet. The hotel also provided free wifi service which was really helpful . The location of the hotel was really nicely situated near London's main tourist attraction such as Buckingham Palace, Westminter Abbey, and also it is not far from shopping centers. It is a recommended hotel to stay in London
Fantastic location and bar - rooms could be better”
The May Fair Hotel is fanstatically located within walking distance of many of London's major attractions and shopping areas. The lobby is trendy, warm and welcoming. The bar is great - very popular with its own separate entrance so not like a usual hotel bar. Our room was a bit disappointing - very sparse and minimal so lacking the feeling of comfort in favour of being basic functional. Its a shame as the room was actually quite large.
staying in the May Fair Hotel”
everything was good and as planned, but the suit I booked was not smoking as requested, and hotel or Agoda ignored my message about that. Hotel staff, one lady called Helen as I think was rude when discussing this issue with her, and did not show any kind of cooperation. there was an intern, called Denis, was great in everything, and worked hardly to guarantee the satisfaction as required. I wish him a great future in Hotel Business. I got to upgrade to a very big suit to have the smoking preference. Hotel staff were good and friendly I think I will go back to same hotel when visiting London.
Great location but small rooms.”
The staff were fantastic and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. However, one of our luggages in storage was wet when we collected it from the concierge. I was horrified when I opened the luggage to find a pile of clothes soaked through with stale water and had to wash them immediately. The location, however, is fantastic and it's walking distance to food and shopping - a big bonus for us. Overall we enjoyed the stay but if the rooms had been bigger, it would have been a lot more pleasant.
