The grandeur, location and history of the Midland Hotel sets it apart from all others. The room and facilities were of the highest order, with breakfast that has no competition. I have never stayed before but will definitely be staying again.

This is the second time we came for our gilts school reunion . We love the hotel and staff are help ”
However our rooms were not ready at 3pm and we had to wait until 4.30 pm to get in which delayed our day we were rather disappointed . We hope to come back in 2020 but would hope this wouldn’t happen again

Booked The Midland Hotel for location and because of its reputation for my mums 60th birthday. And it delivered all I wanted and more. We were giving complimentary drinks because they knew it was my mum's 60th, which was a lovely touch
Dear Nadine, Thank you for your review of the hotel. It was a pleasure to read that you both enjoyed your celebratory stay with us. We are hoping we can welcome you back in the near future. Regards, Tom Ellenor Guest Relations Manager
Mum and Daughter weekend”
The hotel is classic in style, this doesnt mean drab by any standards. Rooms have grand high ceilings and beautiful furniture with two large double beds and a lounge area with two sofas we were more than comfortable. The spa facilities were very nice with a Himilayan Salt Sauna and Steam room. Good size hotel pool and I used the gym in the morning which had everything a person would require for an excellent workout. We had room service on the evening of our stay as a treat for my daughter and the food was excellently cooked to perfection and served promptly! Everything could do with a good shine to spruce it up but honestly, a really lovely hotel with great staff and a perfect location to explore Manchester, I will certainly return.
Dear Jemma, Thank you for taking the time to share you review of the Midland Hotel. It was lovely to read that you enjoyed our facilities available. We are looking forward to bedroom renovations in the near future. Thank you for your kind words and I do hope we can look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kindest Regards, Tom Ellenor, Guest Relations Manager
Pay for the pool”
Room was clean and always immaculate when we returned from our day exploring the city, I just think the fact you have to pay extra to use the facilities that the hotel boasts about is a bit of a farce seeing as you are already paying premium prices for the room.
Dear James, Thank you for taking the time to share your review of The Midland Hotel. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the cleanliness of the bedroom. To ensure our guests get the best experience from the Spa we have introduced pricing, which will assist in managing demand and availability. I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Midland Hotel. Kindest Regards, Tom Ellenor, Guest Relations Manager
Lovely room nice and quiet, nice comfy bed. Ask for complimentary robes at reception because the spa is wonderful, lovely massage by Mia and reception were very helpful, young man helped me buy some Espa xmas gifts, I love this spa. Wonderful stay with the Christmas markets just across the square, perfect x
Great location, comfy bed! ”
Really good location right next to St Peters Square and tram links, 10 minutes walk from Manchester Oxford Road train station and 5 minutes from deansgate. Really comfy good sized king-size bed. Only small niggly things was that the room was quite dark (particularly the mirrors) and there weren't any plugs close to the bed or the mirror. But all in all a good stay! Would be perfect for a christmas Market / shopping getaway!
Great historic Hotel”
Stayed here a number of time s , great location for the city and very grand .

not pleasant at all”
1.- Arrived before checking time (paid 20£ for an early check in); room tiny , towel rail in the bathroom was coming out from the wall. But the biggest surprise was the different and considered amount of insects in the hand towels ( if the towels were like that I can't imagine the bed) Went to reception and talked to Aurelia which was very helpful and understandable; she change us to a new room and gave us a ticket with complementary drinks 2- New room was bigger and nicer than the last one....but the room next to it was being refurbished. In the beginning we where okay with it but then the builders start working around 730 am. Every time we had a shower the water went everywhere ( something was wrong with the shower didn't stay on place) We used a glass from the mini bar , that glass was dirty and in the same place from monday till today. Its not the first time we stayed at The Midland, last time wasn't that bad....at list the service was all good ! Its a real shame
Dear Ana, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am so disappointed to hear that your stay didn't meet with expectations. We work hard to ensure all our guests enjoy the products and service, I will be sure to pass on your feedback in regards to our Departmental Managers for review. We do hope we can be given the opportunity to welcome you back to The Midland to show we can show you that hopefully this was just a one off as we normally receive very positive feedback I hope that you will except my sincere apologies. Always beautiful, but a bit tired”
Fantastic view and lovely comfy bed but there was mould and a loose tile bathroom. They did move us to another room but the bathroom was still mouldy and needed a good clean round the edges. I expected more from them.
Not worth the money. Tiny room. Our room was in the roof. Spa slot has to be booked. We missed out as due to the 5 hour rail journey we arrived late. Very disappointed. The Christmas tree in the foyer was nice. Plenty of hotels in the area.
I hadn’t been through the doors of the Midland for fifty years, for all that time I have looked forward to visiting again. Sillily, I was expecting the impossible. However the room first offered had a ridiculously small bed. The second room had two large beds and a maze to negotiate with my wife’s wheelchair. The toilets in both rooms were extremely difficult for my wife to use. Decoration in these whole place was poor.
No shower Matt provided. You have to request which I didn’t know about and ended up slipping and brushing my leg. Spa was lovely and just what I needed and the location was brilliant.
Dear Natalie, Thank you for your review of the hotel. Guest feedback is crucial to ensure that we are continuing to enhance our guest experience. Please accept our apologies for any confusion with the request of a bath mat. We do hope we will have the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Regards, Tom Ellenor Guest Relations Manager

Great location, wonderful bar. Good public spaces. Breakfast leaves a bit to desire. Hectic, noisy, crowded buffet
