A surprisingly wonderful experience! ”
I was very pleasantly surprised with the Mosser Hotel, to say the least. Being on a budget, I chose the Mosser because it was more economical than other hotels in the same prime location of Union Square. Upon arriving very late at night, 11pm, I immediately noticed that the hotel is in an extremely safe and busy, lit-up area. The door was opened for me and my sister by a security guard inside the hotel, which put me more at ease. The lobby is very modern, unique, and clean, and I immediately knew I had chosen a wonderful hotel. I was initially very skeptical about sharing a "community bathroom" with the rest of the floor, but to my surprise, this did not deter from my experience whatsoever. The "community bathroom" is simply a very nice and clean granite-lined shower a few doors down (that I never had to wait for) and a private clean single bathroom stall (that I also never waited on). The room has a nice-sized sink, so most bathroom business can be done right in the room. Let's just say that the bathroom facilities were quite nice and kept cleaner than my own bathroom at home. Although the room was small as expected, it was all the space I needed. I did not feel crunched. The bed was quite comfortable and nicely decorated. The sink included a number of small items such as toothpaste, nasal strips, a shower caddy, a shower cap, and soap. Unfortunately, our view was of a dark brick wall, but that is to be expected in a large city like San Francisco. The staff was quite friendly. They gave me a travel-sized wine bottle opener and even opened the bottle for me when it was too difficult for me. When I was checking out, the only staff member behind the desk was busy with guests, and another member immediately jumped behind the desk to tend to me. Overall, I had a superb stay at the Mosser. The location could not be safer or more convenient. The rooms are charming and the bathroom situation is not to be feared. The staff was friendly and the price is extremely ec
Exceptional”
Had a phenomenal experience staying at the Mosser Hotel during a research conference. Staff/employees are genuine and very welcoming! The hotel itself is located in an excellent location within the downtown San Fran area and close by to numerous restaurants and stores. Discounted prices and very accommodating! Will definitely book here for all future visits to San Fran! :)
Our go-to hotel in San Francisco”
Mosser is the most affordable hotel considering its convenient location. Its within the same block as Old Navy and Trader Joe's and is within walking distance from major shopping centers and Union Square. Target is also near so it's great overall for people traveling to San Francisco.
Great value for money”
I stayed at The Mosser Hotel for a conference at Moscone Center. Perfect location, just a block away, and a very attractive price. The room was small, and I picked a room with shared bathroom to save money. It worked out well for me, I did only spend a few hours in the room at night to sleep. The only issue I can point at is that the lack of night stand with a power outlet close to it made it difficult to connect my CPAP and phone charger. No major issue, and other rooms may be different. The room also got warm and stuffy after a few hours, with no air conditioning I had to open the window to cool it down some,
Great location - Rooms okay”
The Mosser Hotel in Downtown San Francisco is right across the Mariott on the corner of Market St. and 4th St., so it is a really great location. A movie theatre, lots of shopping and some nice bars are just around the corner. The Hotel is very clean is rooms were serviced daily. Minor disadvantages are the size of the rooms and that the A/C is missing. Other than that, it is a perfect hotel for a short trip to SF.
Excellent”
I will recommend the mosser hotel to my friends. The location is very convenient. The staffs are all friendly. I will stay again if I go to San Francisco.
5 nights at The Mosser”
Location was good, just directly opposite Marriott Marquis which was hosting the conference I was attending. The staff at Mosser were really helpful and friendly. Room was rather small but it's fine since it's clean. Oh yeah, they had free coffee/tea and muffins in the morning. The only downside is this hotel is pretty near to Mission Street so I was a little concern about the safety. Saw quite a number of homeless folks asking for $ along the streets but I guess it's about minding your own business and moving on. At night you can hear shouting and the occasional police sirens but overall the hotel feels safe once you are inside.
Great place friendly staff love it”
I changed rooms 3 times and they never gave me any additude they wanted me to be happy I will always stay here when in San Francisco .. the staff is so great really nice and the door man is a great guy every tip for a good place to eat was perfect .. keep it up guys .. FYI I have stayed in very expensive hotels in the past and there staff is nothing compared to this staff !!! This is what hotel hospitality should be .. done of the bigger hotels could learn from these guys 👌👏😍🤗
Excellent staff & location”
Stayed here to attend a conference in San Francisco. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and even allowed for me to check in early (even though I just asked for them to store my bags first). The room was a bit small, but that was expected. I also didn't mind as I was not in my room most of the time. The sink was outside of the bathroom, which I found a bit odd. I found the room to be spotless! The location was very central and within walking distance of the Union Square and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.
It has got everything you need”
The hotel was clean, my room is cleaned everyday. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, my hair dryer wasn’t working and it was replaced the moment I returned to the room. My airport transfer ride left before the indicated time and the staff booked a cab for me to make sure I reached the airport on time. Location is good, near to almost everything that you need. If given another chance to visit San Francisco again, I would stay here again.
Comfortable, clean, well priced location a block from Powell St BART”
We will be back to the Mosser: our room on 7th floor was large enough to be comfortable for a couple with large windows over looking 4th Street. Staff were helpful including storing luggage and suggestions for places to eat. Nicely re-furbished hotel for the price with shower over deep bath; comfy bed. Breakfast offering was surprisingly good drip coffee and little muffins; I would have appreciated a small fridge and tea making facilities. A machine in the basement dispensed boiling or cold water but you need to purchase a cup and milk from somewhere.
Excellent location, good staff”
First of all, the location is excellent. Overall it was neat and clean with friendly staffs. Bathroom and toilet are shared, but they are kept always clean. Although the room size a bit small, but you do not get a better place at such price in San Francisco downtown. I recommed it.
Nice staff and great location”
It was great overall, however, once I was pretty sure that the bed sheet was not changed although they made the bed again - because I saw an interesting dot on the sheet the night before and the next night the dot was still there. But I used it clean anyway, and I was too busy I decided to not tell them about it because I was satisfied with the other service anyway. Anyway, it was clean overall, the morning muffins and coffee were nice. I didn't have a fridge but the staff offered to put my stuff for the night in their staff fridge at the basement. Staffs here are awesome and very nice! I will come again next time if I go to San Francisco.
Great Hotel in the heart of the city”
The Mosser is a great hotel in the centre of things in San Fransisco. It has a lovely old world charm but has modern facilities and friendly staff.
Clean, great location”
Excellent stay. Shared bathrooms were much more pleasant than expected, and the coffee and muffins in the morning were a nice touch. The room was on the smaller side, and so was the shared bathroom we used, but the bed was comfortable and it didn't bother us. The blind in our room seemed to be broken and we didn't notice until we went to bed so didn't bother to ask to have it fixed, although the staff were very friendly and helpful so I'm sure they would have dealt with it if we'd asked! The location was also fantastic, close to lots of public transport and shopping. Given that San Francisco hotels are so expensive, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.
Great location”
I was in San Francisco for a conference. The hotel is merely a 5 minute's walk away from the Moscone West Convention Centre. They also provide free breakfast including muffins and coffee and tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay.
Good hotel in great location”
The Mosser was an ideal place to stay for a week in SFO. Location was perfect - walk to BART from airport, cable cars, restaurants, fast food, 2 supermarkets, shops, tourist attractions. The 'share bathroom' was never a problem. Always clean, just a few metres away and only had to wait once. They are individual rooms so not really shared! Facilities are non existent - eg no gym, pool etc. Also no fridge - but for small fee can have brought to room. Wifi was excellent. Would recommend.
Exceptional”
Great location close to transport and shops, friendly staff, twin room small but clean and more than adequate for two people. Would definitely recommend and return if in San Francisco.
Excellent location + Reasonable price + Poor facilities”
The location was excellent. It's located in Powell street without much concerned about homeless people. (There were still many homeless people, but as you can back before 22:00, the location should be safe as it's the city center.) The price is fair considered you are live in center of San Francisco. And it also provides fair simple breakfast and coffee. The only concern is the poor facilities. - No refrigerator - Room size might be too small for 2 luggages - No room air conditioner and heater. The temperature would be a bit uncomfortable in winter midnight - No view outside window (Another hotel?) - No hot water kettle, the hot water machine was only providing 70C degree water - Bad sound insulation between room

One of the best few hotels that I loved while staying in San Francisco! I had a great stay!
