Great Location, Great Staff, Great Service, Great Price”
We were greeted by husband, wife, and their daughter with "Are you Kevin? Welcome, you are the last arriving guess for today". The check-in procedure was very quick, pleasant, and room was available for immediate use.....by the way, we got there before 12:00 noon. The daughter, 4th generation owner, even accompanied us to the room and showed us the facilities. The room was spacious, articulately clean, and well designed. Love the white silky comforter and the two full size beds. Many mentioned about the noise from the highway but it was a non issue for us. The two windows were secured with double glass and you do hear motorcycles speeding down the highway time to time but noise from air conditioner from some other hotels are much distracting than this. The breakfast was included and you get to choose one of 10 Western or Thai dish from the menu. In addition, there were fruit juice and watermelon on the side for self service. I would consider their hospitality excellent.

Came several times, already been like my second home. every time i came to bangkok, i choose to come back to this hotel. the hotel is actually modified from a building which is over 120 years old. so you should be about to find it quite fasinating with the appearance as well as the style. besides, the location is easy to find. it is just across the bts station, Saphan Taksin. And you can also access the Asiatique Night Market by the free shuttle boat at the ferry port just beside the bts station. you can find 7-11, lots of restaurants/bars, and a shopping mall, which has a big supermarket closes at 12am, very close to the hotel. the staffs are always super nice. and they are easy to communicate as they speak perfect English. the breakfast is fabulous. the room is suprisingly huge, comfy and tidy. the only down side i could carp is that the washrooms lack ventilation. but you actually don't really call it a flaw because it is understandable that the owners want to preserve the old build

Nice Hotel in Bangkok”
Room is clean, spacious, nice bed with wooden frame, soft mattress, clean bed sheets & linen, nice wooden cabinet and table, clean & big bathroom. Location is good. The best of all is the kindness of the owner, caring and want you to feel comfortable and safe. Spending moments on a conversation with the owner is rewarding, treating me not only as a guest but seems like as a friend. The owner - Siblings are nice to talk with as they are very fluent in English.

Friendly helpful great location”
Exceptionally friendly staff, nice cooked breakfast, great location 3 minute walk to skytrain,5 min to ferry pier free shuttle ferry to the new shopping centre Iconsiam or take the 15 or 20 baht ferry to the Grand Palace Temples Khousan road etc. The bed was very comfortable with double windows keeping the outside road noise to a minimum, a bathroom extractor fan.would be good and like many hotels in Asia if you notice a smell....putting water in the bathroom floor drains daily usually fixes it

The hotel is centrally located.. close to BTS, River Shuttle , Shopping & Food Market. Free Delicious Hot Breakfast. Good Customer Service. The only negative is the rooms are adjacent to the main highway and it’s noisy.

Adorable place ”
Most adorable place with a great history ..... the family is more than kind and does everything to make hr stay as comfortable as possible! They even have little slips to overcome the Bangkok taxi problems .... close to the sky train and to the pier making all of Bangkok accessible!!!!! The noise is a hurdle but not a problem 😁 thank you for having us! 😍

Good place for sightseeing”
It is located so close to Saphan Taksin BTS and wharf that you might find it convenient if you look to visiting riverside sites like three biggest temples, Asiatique, Icon Siam etc. or anywhere accessible by BTS. There are a local shopping center, markets, shops and restaurants in short walk distance too. The downside is, as other reviewers mention, it is very noisy. Right next to flyovers. The host are aware of it. Earplugs were provided free of charge. We fell asleep without using them though. If you are very sensitive to noise or light sleeper, sadly it can’t be recommended. The owner was nice and friendly. This is a family run hotel which has a history. The building is conservative but guest rooms and hallway seemed refurbished. Room itself was clean. Breakfast was delicious!

one of the best hotels in bangkok. very good staff. they offered me breakfast on 1st day as my last day flight was early in the morning. only problem was at night when hi speed vehicle runs over flyover above the windows of the hotel. they have provided ear cap .. but if they arrange light music in earphone or speaker in night it could be better for sleeping .. but again its ok for bangkok..

Excellent Hospitality ”
The bed is harder compare to others. Pillow is not that fluffy. There is noise from the highway. The sound prove need to be improve. Overall the stay experience is great the owner is very hospitable well spoken in English and the breakfast has a wide a range of choice and it is scrumptious. I'll certainly be back next time. 5mins walking distance from the nearest BTS Station and pier to Asiatique Night Market and Iconsiam Shopping Mall.

Great place to stay”
We came for Song Kran 2019. Had a good time. This hotel was our choice to stay at. The staffs are friendly, always smiling. After a hard day out, to come back to the hotel and be welcomed with a smile made our day. The rooms are clean. Despite the fact that the hotel is located near the highway, we never had any problems with the noise. It is great to know that the hotel had a 120 years history behind it. I would definitely come back here again for my next trip to BKK.

Staff and hotel room were very nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here because the rooms face directly to a busy highway and bridge. Lots of noise all day and night from the traffic.

The room is very clean and even the room is next to the highway and BTS it doesn't affect any sound coming in. As for breakfast, I was hoping the owner and staff have options for breakfast like American breakfast or porridge. But I'm happily satisfied with the room!

Cheap, practical, distinctive – shame about the traffic noise”
Imaginative conversion of an old family mansion near the river. Location excellent for Sathorn Pier ferries and Saphan Thaksin BTS, but spoiled by loud all-night traffic from the elevated Bridge Road right opposite our bedroom window. Very helpful staff provided breakfast box, since we were checking out before breakfast. Reception closed after 9:00 p.m., access only by keycode.

I absolutely loved staying at The Myth-Sud Sathorn during my stay in Bangkok! The building is extremely unique and authentic. Also, our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. I was initially nervous about staying here because of previous reviews about noise coming from the highway, but the noise didn't bother me at all (and I'm a light sleeper). The hotel is conveniently located near the Sathon Pier and BTS, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. The staff were also amazing! I didn't catch the manager's name, but she greeted us with a big smile when we arrived from the airport, despite it being 2am. She also provided us with a hand-drawn map (!!!) of the surrounding area and was happy give us with food/restaurant recommendations. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok!
