"Very good value for money, in a very quiet part of Lanta."

With natural beauty engulfing its modern composition, The Narima is sure to dazzle nature lovers and casual travelers alike. Located near the National Marine Park on the unspoilt south coast of the magnificent island of Koh Lanta, this property sits close to sandy beaches, crystal clear water, and an amazing underwater world. All bungalows with spectacular ocean views are luxuriously appointed and decorated elegantly with dark wood furnishings, stylish fixtures, muted color schemes, and authentic artwork. The restaurants overlooking the beach include a wide range of traditional and international cuisines. Priding itself as a green hotel, The Narima preserved as many of the original trees and plants as possible. The bungalows are built around existing trees and only felled when absolutely necessary.

Must stay !!”
Epic place. Luxury place to stay. I have even propose to my future wife there. Food is great quality. Bangalo houses are super nice and the bartender is serving great drinks. You can also rent a motorbike there and explore an island. No bad words about Narima. Wish to go back there for couple nights....Thank you
Koh Lanta Gem”
The Narima was everything we were looking for in a place on Koh Lanta. Price for quality was very good. Natural Thai looking buildings that are eco friendly. In the south part of the island so more quiet and less party oriented. Rocky beach that has some tide pools. Amazing food and service. We were not interested in luxury but were pleasantly surprised by how clean and neat it was. We traveled the island on a scooter and compared the places, we felt the Narima was one of the best.
Beautiful Jungle-Like Retreat on the Cliffs with Private Beach”
We absolutely loved this place. Pictures don't do the justice. Very nice bungalows in a beautiful setting. And they have everything you need for a baby: cribs and high chairs.
Great resort but staff performance is uneven”
Food served is excellent but is priced at european standards. If you come from Europe, you will find it affordable but it is x2-x3 what restaurants normally charge in Thailand so don't be afraid to go around. Also, we found the staff performance to be uneven, some being displeasant and unprofessional (water poured on food, asked to set up the table ourselves), which was a first in many stays in Thailand. A chat with the friendly owner fixed it all but we would have preferred to avoid it.
Family stay at The Narima”
We had a great time at The Narima. The owners were lovely and the staff were a very friendly, helpful team who were able to accommodate us well during our stay because the resort is small enough for teh staff to know and care about the personal preferences of their guests (eg. how you like your cup of tea at breakfast!). I would recommend the Narima to anyone, with or without families, who wishes to enjoy a peaceful yet luxurious stay on a Thai island.
Excellent place for relaxation and we'll definitely come back again - excellent service in the beach bar by Bear.
Great to enjoy own time”
It's really good to stay in this highly privacy resort, great nature, private beach, lovely gecko, really delicious food in reasonable price, and all the staff are really gentle. Took 6 nights stay here and it's totally not enough, wanna come back again. One thing need to know is never leave any food opened in the room, the cockroach will come after it.
Great for Family Looking for Respite”
The Narima is about 25-30 minutes from the main town on Ko Lanta. This makes it a great option to truly get away from it all. Logistically, it is still very accessible to activities around Ko Lanta- (Ko Lanta National Park, Khlong Chak Waterfall, Klong Nin, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave). The location allows you to enjoy a private beach that is top-notch. Staff is extremely helpful booking tours and around the main restaurant. However, the beach bar (very cool atmosphere) staff is not proactive (not too big of a deal, though). The one thing that we felt needed to be clarified, and it may have just been the timing of our stay, but this is a very family-friendly hotel (obviously a pro to some, a con to others). The hotel and staff seem to go out of their way to cater to the families (again, totally fine for many). There were many toddlers (and their parents) that seemingly took over the relatively small hotel. For example, at breakfast toys spread throughout the restaurant and children running around freely. Essentially, during our stay the main restaurant and main pool area were 'Family Zones' upon which we felt was imposed. That said, there are other areas of the hotel to enjoy (the beach) that just made the 'Toddler Factor' an anecdote and point of clarification we felt necessary to share. All said, the value of the resort is too high to let anything truly impede on our recommendation of The Narima. We'll probably be back the next time we visit Ko Lanta (which hopefully won't be too far in the future).
Paradise found! ”
The Narima is a little out of the way but that is what also gives it so much character. I felt as though I had been placed in a time capsule and dropped into a Robert Louis Stevenson tropical island novel. If we wanted to go into town, motor scooters were available to rent. The staff was ever so accommodating. The breakfast was varied and hearty. The restaurant on the beach was amazing!
Perfect end to our trip”
We loved our time at The Narima, especially after the hustle of Phuket. Being further away from the port and main shopping centre meant we were able to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and really appreciate being away in paradise. Our children played many imaginative games on the beach or in the pool most of the time, often with the children of other families from all over the world. If we did want to get out and adventure, it was easy to ask the staff to make a booking or arrange transportation. We would love to visit again and would recommend it to our friends.
We will miss this place. Great value. We had a/c and a cool pool with a view of the ocean. At first we were disappointed that there are rocks getting in and out of the ocean- but then we discovered that all the southern beaches do. We reacted a scooter for the 6 days we were there and it cost 800baht. Didn't eat at the hotel as it was a bit more pricy than what we were looking for.
really nice hotel”
we was in bungalow A the view was really nice but far from the loby( and close from the monkey!) little scrare in the night time!! no have too many light for back in the bungalow (the last one n°13) so if you book this hotel book the the first one; everything was good; quiet and clean
One of the best options in Koh Lanta”
I believe one of the best options in Koh Lanta. We explore the whole island during our stay ( make a circle is around one hour and 15min by motorbike) The area is probably the best in the island. Quite, not crowded and nice places. Kantiang bay beach which I think is the best beach in the island is not far away. Being in our bungalow terrace in front of the sea during the sunset was amazing. Nice food at the restaurant. Nice Stuff. Everything easy going. All what you spend during your stay at the hotel they put it into your room account and pay at the end of your stay. That is really convenient. Hotel provide with rent motorbikes to explore the island whenever you want. Don't forget to try their coconut shakes.
Great place to unwind”
I was travelling alone and had a great stay at the Narima. The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. It's a little bit out of th hustle of the villages but it's simple to get around on a motorbike for less that 300 baht a day or 50 per hour. Few monkeys around so don't leave your things lying around, they'll get pinched!
Great experience ”
We had a wonderful stay here. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. The staff was very sweet and thoughtful. They were kind enough to pack our breakfasts on both days since we were out and about very early! Fruits, fresh sandwiches and water. The bar and restaurant by the beach is superb. Would highly recommend this place.
Relaxing Stay at the Narima Resort”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our bungalow was situated in a very private location so we had piece and quiet. After traveling around Thailand we definitely needed this. The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. BBQ on the beach was exceptional. We really hated to go.
A really fantastic bungalow hotel.”
We really loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed here five nights. Wish it could have been 20. The bungalows offer a fun experience, just rustic enough, but with AC so you can get cooled off when the heat gets to be too much. The staff are friendly and helpful, though many don't speak English. The beach and pool are very good and worth spending some time at. The motor bike rentals at the hotel are reasonably priced and are a good way to get around. Provided you can handle your self on a motor bike.
Amazing find, will go back!”
It was such a wonderful stay at the Narima, we are overjoyed with our experience! The grounds are beautiful and well kept, lush jungle forest surrounding beautiful traditional style buildings on a gorgeous beach that was the nicest one that we saw on the island. The staff was wonderful and always ready to help. The free breakfast was amazing with Thai and western options available and someone to make you a fresh omelette. We LOVED our bungalow on the beach, it was heaven. Very well kept with comfortable (but hard as is the thai standard) beds and a hammock on the porch--you feel like you are alone in the forest overlooking the ocean. Just gorgeous!!! All of the prices were very reasonable, when we got our final bill (that included transportation to the airport and three massages) we were stunned by how little we spent. The beach is gorgeous with some rock outcroppings and a sand bar that extends really far into the water once you walk past them. This made it like a big swimming pool with a sand bottom! Families could play in the water as it was not scary at all. We went scuba diving for the first time with the company that has a sattelite location in the hotel. They gave us lessons in the pool at the hotel and then picked us up from breakfast the next day and took us to Ko Haa, an island about 45 minutes away by boat that is a national park that looks like an aquarium. It is gorgeous and so close! We loved it. We even saw a whale shark, which is apparently fairly rare! We travel a lot and we really loved this place.
This place is fantastic!! We booked row C and although you can't see the sea it is only 1min walk down to the private little beach, with stunning views. The room was clean and very comfortable, good beds, good pillows, large balcony with hammock.. heaven! The restaurant is brilliant! Every meal we had was well above average, the cocktails were yummy and the staff are great. The location is quiet but you can hire a scooter and explore the island with ease. Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again, in a heartbeat!
Beautiful setting, great food, on the ocean”
I initially picked a Row C bungalow but it had no view of the ocean (despite it stating it had a "sea view" so I assumed that meant it was staggered behind the other bungalows and you could see between them to the ocean). So, since it was my birthday, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to the oceanfront bungalow and I did not regret it! BREATHTAKING and worth every penny! I loved laying in my hammock and reading a book while listening and watching the waves below me and through the gorgeous trees! The only downfall of the bungalow (which I do not know if it was only this particular bungalow #A-02 - or all of their bungalows) was that there was a very strong odor when you entered it which smelled like MOLD! Every day they sprayed air freshener, so they are aware. Food was excellent and so was the staff! I'd definitely return.
