Chic Hotel ”
Perfect adult only hotel. After spending the week at Disney - the ability to stay at a hotel with no kids was AMAZING!! The Art Deco hotel right on the ocean is everything we could have asked for. Amazing staff, killer rooms, the pools, drinks, and location were all 5 ⭐️! I would recommend this hotel to everyone and plan on staying there next time I’m visiting Miami Beach.

Beautiful hotel”
I loved the hotel a lot, especially the pool bar. Definitely coming back. Only 3 suggestions for the management. 1. You guys are probably the only above 3-star hotel still using magnetic key card in 2021. A front desk staff told me not to keep the card with phone or credit cards but that was impossible task for me. 2. I was scared several times that I might get stuck in the elevator. EVs are too old and Lobby button doesn't work. They still take you to the lobby but a memo would be helpful. I pushed the button more than 10 times and I didn't like it. We are still living with Covid. 3. Room service. A staff forgot to order my food to kitchen so I ended up wait about an hour for a hamburger. I ordered National burger with medium patty but what I got was obviously Beyond burger. It looked/tasted disgusting.

Great hotel, however, not 5 stars”
This is one of my favorite hotels in South Beach. The outdoor pool area is by far my favorite part. However, basic rooms are not that great and have very small bathrooms. One major pet peeve of mine is no bathrobes in the room- for that fact alone it’s not 5 star. With the hefty resort fees I would expect some of those extras and disappointingly they weren’t there. Despite this, I would recommend this hotel due to the pool area and great location, if you can book for a reasonable price!

The National is charming. It was perfect for us, since I'm a swimmer: the beach is beautiful, clean and calm to swim. And the 62 m pool was amazing to swim laps in too! For those looking for a more peaceful elegant hotel instead of high energy glitz, this is a great choice for Miami South Beach.

Elevator ”
One elevator out of two had a mechanical issue which caused door not to shut properly and elevator to not move/operate. Hotel did not take Complaint seriously (reception staff member) and engineering did not fix issue during my short 2-day stay. You had to manually push door tight before elevator would move.

Unfortunately we ended there during spring break. Had to put up with obscenely noise/music from next door even in the room until midnight. Could not enjoy outdoor hotel facilities as expected due to this. Otherwise the hotel was pleasing, Art Deco style, in need of some remodeling in places. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Facilities are overall nice, close to the beach and on the boardwalk. Food at the hotel was good. Beach umbrella was extra (other nearby hotels include it in the package), 2 lounge chairs are included in the package.

Not worth the money”
Checked in to learn the pool isn't heated despite what was on the website. The hotel had booked private events both Saturday and Sunday making using the outdoor areas mostly impossible. I paid roughly $500 a night for a place to sleep. I wasn't offered a discount or any other gesture. I won't stay here and again and would recommend anyone considering make a phone call to confirm if there is a wedding or other event planned during a potential stay.

You must speak fluent Spanish to come here. Terrible service, had to find a security guard (which the place is surrounded by them) to help translate. We also had our room broken in by one of the security guards at 3am saying it was an “accident” when we call down to the front desk.

Stunning Art Deco Hotel”
We arrived for a two night stop over before our flight back to the UK. The hotel is set right on the beach and in the beautiful Art Deco area of Miami Beach. The hotel and staff were great and I really enjoyed my stay but unfortunately there was construction work going on in the neighbouring hotel to the right which had constant dust and noise of industrial sawing and drilling all day long - it would have been nice if the hotel could have advised guests prior to their visit that there was ongoing building work next door - it was difficult to relax and unwind in this noisy environment . To add to this, the hotel on the other side appeared to be a party hotel with very loud thumping music coming from the gardens (too loud at times) , so this did slightly ruin our stay. Nevertheless, I could not fault the beautiful National Hotel or its staff who were very good ! I would also recommend eating in Tamara’s Restaurant within the National Hotel - we had lunch and an evening meal.

Beautiful property....very disappointed”
I live in Pittsburgh and needed a little sunshine (and beach)-- did a lot of research - decided on SB- National Hotel. The property is pricey but impressive. Here's where my disappointment comes in-- The SOBEWFF was happening during the time I was there-- (this event was not mentioned when I was making my reservations). Unfortunately, this event consists of numerous tents that are connected and run along the beach directly behind the hotel- in order to get to the National Hotel beach, you had to walk at least 1/4 of a mile!! Next, everything that you purchase at the resort has an 18% gratuity fee and 9% tax- -when I am sitting poolside & have to get my own drinks-& pay 18% gratuity?? The last day, the pool closed early (very disappointing since the beach was so far away) -due to an "event"- later that night. returned to room and had no electricy! I did s/w a manager who was very kind, he took $152.60 off of my bill of $1712.54---overall- very disappointing

Best location in Miami Beach. All staffs are very friendly. The only complaint is the check-in staff told me she will call me when my room is ready, but I didn't receive any call. I returned to her at 3:30pm to know the room was ready, wasted me 4 hours hanging around the neighbourhood of hotel.

We loved The National. This will be my first choice from now on. The staff was phenomenal. So friendly and accommodating. The hotel had a great beach and pool. The vibe was fun and energetic. The location can’t be beat!!! It was all around just wonderful!!

Great Location Great pool Great service”
It’s close to shoppling malls, restaurants and the beach. The hotel pools and stuff services were great. We stayed 3 nights at the king cabana room which was so clean and next to the pool. The only thing that we were quite discontented was the receptionist who check-in us wasn’t nice at all. She seemed not happy to welcome us and didn’t smile. Other than, everything was perfect!

The regular rooms are small and old. I uprgrared to a poolside cabana room. Those are nice. The staff is friendly the management doesn’t like you having outside food or drink or a cooler at the beach. So don’t expect to bring that. Also this hotel isn’t focused toward the younger crowd. Or party type. But it is right in between to hotels that are and the music is loud on both sides. If you want a party hotel go to the SLS or the Loews hotel. The rest of the staff at the National was awesome. But the management is horrible. They have no clue on customer service and hospitality.

I loved this place comfy bed, backs up to the boardwalk and beach,awesome service, the only negative is They tried to charge me $15 to have a coffee pot in my room ridiculous and they advertised in room movies but due to some problems they were having with the vendor you could not access the movies
