there are negatives but can be fixed so the place will be so much better
Negatives: -tragic mattress, honestly is the worst we have ever slept on, all body parts hurt in the morning, felt tired all day because of bad sleep on it. it is so cheap and bad quality that has done a permanent curve on the place where the bodies are laying it should go to garbage urgently and be replaced with new and better quality immediately. -terrible quality of towels, so hard it is like you dry with sandpaper. -no beach/pool towels provided -the curtains are not sun-stop -no kettle, nothing to make a tea or coffee in the room -our room is mentioned as double villa, but it was not a villa no way..it was a standard room with one window, no terrace or veranda at all, no kitchenette.an absolutely standard hotel room. -so many rules everywhere you turn your eyes.certainly there should be some rules, but here you feel like you are in a camp, and it really makes you anxious ..and you are on vacation where you should be relaxed..perhaps if you just mention most important rules when a guest arrives but fewer signs is a suggestion. -it is difficult to find the place, especially if it is raining as the sign is very small -the narrow street with dirt and stones that leads from main street to the nest is in such a terrible condition to carry the luggage from/to the street (taxis refuse to get inside) that is really a problem. -there something like a small rooster farm (used in barbaric rooster fights perhaps??) so you hear them all day, but this someone can find as a local folklore.also air port is nearby and you hear airplanes take off land very often -the tv kept going black every half minute and then back to normal again making impossible to watch.but perhaps this is fixed by now We don’t want to be critical ,we are just mentioning this list only from the will to point out to the owners the things that can be fixed or replaced, if changes are made this place can indeed be a comfortable nest..!! The positives: -extremely clean, the owners even

Value for money!
Charlie, the owner is most helpful, listen to him about what to do in Samui and you will not be sorry. The rooms are clean, and beautiful, we extended our stay after a few days. Recommended to anyone!

The best budget hotel in Samui !
First of all , its cheap yet you will get an amazing room. One of the best i ever had in this price range ! The room is very spacious, well designed (its just as good as the pictures you found in the internet) and clean. Its also quiet but if you like to sleep early there is an airport nearby (well to be fair in an island like samui the airport is always close to you) , but the airport is not 24hrs and there is no flight after 10 (i think) We booked the room for 4nights at first and loved it , so in the end we extended the stay to 7 nights . Most night its only us in the hotel which makes it look like our own villa. The breakfast they provide is "okay" with croissants (with jam and butter) , fruits and either tea / coffee. ... more variety in breakfast will be good. Charlie and Marlie is very very nice owner , you can ask them anything about samui . They even prepared a handwritten restaurant recommendation and a map with interesting spots marked . and you can just contact them with whatsapp /some other IM apps and you dont even need to leave your room ! (whether its renting a moped / booking a tour / whatever)

The only place I will ever stay from now on!!!
Where to begin? My girlfriend and I decided to stay a couple nights here and had the idea of switching to a new area of the island after that -- this was our biggest mistake. We wish we would have stayed all 6 days at The Nest because it was that wonderful. Charlie & his lovely wife treated us like family and we would now consider them family as well. Anything you need help with, they are willing and available to share all sorts of helpful information. Best places to eat and places to explore. The location is PERFECT, hidden away enough to feel like a little secluded paradise, but close enough to everything you could possible want. The grounds are taken really great care of and Charlie is checking/cleaning the pool every morning -- it was so lovely to have a swim in the morning and evenings. It has such a *family* feel that it's really easy and fun to make friends with the other travelers staying there -- but you still have tons of privacy at the same time. I could go on and on but don't even hesitate -- YOU MUST STAY here for the best time on Koh Samui! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Amazing find right by Big Buddha Pier
My girlfriend and I stayed here in September for a few nights after reading the rave reviews and loved the place for the most part. The owners were very friendly and hands on helping us arrange a scooter rental (plus after reading about how common scams are with rental companies) and suggestions of places to visit or eat. Defintely worth trying Ocean 11 close by. The grounds are beautiful and tidy with a small swimming pool to eacape the heat. An outdoor shower would be a plus given the sign saying no swimming with sunscreen on. Our room was very nice, spacious and clean as was the bathroom. They've kitted out the rooms with satelite, not that it's needed, but was a bonus to watch the world cup of (ice) hockey while in Thailand. The breakfast was simple but good. Some fresh fruit, two warm croissants and coffe/tea. We arranged to dive one morning and had to leave for the airport another and was a bit disappointed to learn that nothing could bw provided to us a bit earlier than their 8am breakfast start time. We were left with a bit of a sour taste in our mouthes from our arranged morning (7:15am I think, nothing crazy) airport transfer. We were a bit shocked when told it was 300 Baht. Not a lot in the scheme of things, but considering our spacious and gorgeous room was 1,100 Baht, that seemed steep considering such a short journey. Not to mention touts at the pier were charging 100. The Nest seems to teeter between a B&B feel to small boutique, we would defintely stay there again, we would just arrange our own airport transfer.

Beautiful, modern and confortable
The Nest is a perfect spot to stay close to Big Buddha Pier and just across the road from the beach. The rooms and whole hotel is meticulously designed, with modern features and comfortable bedding. It was an absolute highlight of our time in Koh Samui. The owners are so friendly and welcoming... they even drove me to the airport to meet me partner who was arriving after me. We will definitely be back! :-) A huge thank you.

Small New Cozy Place near Big Buddha Pier
I had a pleasant stay at the Next. It was my last place to stay in Thailand and I was happy for my choice. My room was spacious with a double bed and a small kitchen facilities, and with a terrace outside- and everything with a good taste. It is rather a small hotel so if you want to stay in all day long with your family, you might want to stay at a bigger resort. For me, it worked all good with the help of the lovely lovely couple owner and sweet staff.

Nice accommodation with great host
If you don't mind staying next to the beach then this place could be your final answer. With total of 5 rooms and about 30m from main street, this place is your cozy little shelter. The room is clean and spacious enough along with tiny swimming pool at this small price, it's more than enough. The best part for this place is the owner, they would go beyond your normal hotel staff's service. Nice conversation along with suggestion of sightseeing spots and restaurants was great. Will go back in the future definitely.

Like staying with a good friends
The owner Charlie and his wife Mali made our experience at The Nest fantastic from beginning to end. Since they run the hotel as a side business during their retirement they are personally involved in all parts of the stay. They are very knowledgable about the island and don't hesitate to spend their personal time with you. They provided a handwritten list of restaurants and attractions nearby, as well as a map marked with all the sights of Samui. The hotel itself is quaint and secluded, while only a ten minute drive to the airport. (They offer transfers for a small fee). The rooms are simple, but modern and clean with no signs of mosquitos or cockroaches you come across aplenty elsewhere in the same price range. Only the walls are a bit thin, so can be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper and want to lie in once the airport opens in the morning. The breakfast was prepared on request and totally adequate. We did not try the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. This is a great place for both a one-night stay or a weeklong getaway. We will definitely be coming back here again next time we visit Samui. Thank you Charlie and Mali!
