Will Be Back ”

Convience, Comfort, and Clean

This was my second time staying at The Wyndham New Yorker hotel and I must say this just may be my permanent go to spot whenever I frequent NY which is at least 2-3 times a year. The hotel staff are always very helpful and friendly, the beds are so comfortable, it's right by the metro station, and there's more than enough food places in the area to choose from.

Very friendly and helpful staff”

I injuried my knee on the first night in NY. The staff helped by briging a shower chair, providing information to rent a scooter (Big Apple Mobility), and the phone number for the cab company so I could request wheelchair accessible transportationto help get around and enjoy my first visit to NY. I can't begin to thank the staff enough for everything they did to help. If I ever return to NY, I would stay at the New Yorker. Thank you to the Staff!

The icing on th e cake”

fabulous room, location and excellent service

Our stay at the New Yorker was excellent from the beginning to end. All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. The suite surpassed our expectations and was very roomy even for five people. Our suite was a corner suite with view of Madison Square Garden and Empire State building. Location is perfect right next to Penn Station, a short walk to Macy's, Empire State Building and 5th Avenue. Staying at the New Yorker made our stay in NYC.

An absolutely amazing stay!!”

Spent 6 days in New York... And what better place to stay than the ol' New Yorker!!! Best location... Right on 8th Ave, you can see Madison Sq Garden.. Walking the block gives access to all the shops and treats... Subway station right outside the door literally. Very very happy with this one. The old theme of the hotel really made it feel warm. Do check it out!!!

Great location!”

The New Yorker is located in a prime spot to get to many attractions, as well as right next to the subway to get to further away spots. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. My only warning is that you can hear (loud squeaky noise) when the room above you or next to you is turning the shower faucets, which isn’t a big deal, but a little annoying when the person keeps adjusting the knobs, which I assumed was happening in the room above/next to us. On the plus side, we could hardly hear the noises outside and didn’t hear other noises from rooms, so that was great!

Cozy but Comfortable”

Art Deco Decor, convenient location, clean and safe

I had a very pleasant stay at the New Yorker Hotel. The hotel was just one block away from Penn Station, and conveniently located to subway lines that connected me with my city. Likewise, it was just a few blocks away from Times Square, Broadway theaters, amazing shopping and many great restaurants. My room was small but clean and comfortable. Visitors were required to show room keys before entering the elevators, which added a nice feeling of added security. All in all, it was a great stay and very lovely historic hotel.

New Yorker Hotel”

Hotel location is strategic to the points of interest. Security is strict especially if you come in late which is good for the hotel guest. Great value for money
Breakfast is not included and no free wi-fi access in the room.

We had a very wonderful stay in the New Yorker hotel. Room given to us had a magnificent view ot the Empire State building. The staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. Food in the Tick Tock diner is amazing and has a wide variety of choices. Its open for the hotel guest 24 hours a day. Likewise, in front of the hotel is a Mc Donalds and Starbucks so no fear of getting hungry.

Classic New York Hotel”

The best thing about the hotel was the location and accessibility. The hotel is opposite Madison Gardens and Penn Station and only a 10/15 min walk to Times Square. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were a little small but after speaking with friends this is standard in New York.

it's was pleasure to stay at The New Yorker...the location is close to TimeS Square...but don't listen to the doorman...he will try to get you a more expensive transport to the airport... better get a taxi or prebook a shuttle bus...anyway that's only small thing, we was very much enjoy our stay in New York for the first time travel to the State and make sure you get a bargain for "Hop On Hop Off" tour bus, it's was great.

Staff, location and decor.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel. Our room had a view of the Hudson and was a decent size for a city centre hotel. Tastefully decorated with all the amenities we required. Central location with good transport links but is in an extremely touristy area.

We arrived at 2am and I had booked by mistake the next month. (2016, already) The clerk was adorable, changed the booking, and even upgraded the room to a high-storied to one with view on times square! That was The New York Experience! We lived 1970s styled diner on ground floor, for breakfast and night dining.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel because of the location. It's near the shopping district as well as Madison Square Garden. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was small though. But it doesn't matter since you'll be out the whole day anyway.

Best location, good service”

I've read many of bad reviews, but for me, location and view are most important things. I hesitated a lot, to go this hotel or some new hotels nearby(their reviews were better than this one). But to see the good view, I booked city view room and it was perfect. Workers in desks were very friendly and accommodating. I arrived 10am in the morning, but I could get a room! I wanted Empire State Building view, but unfortunately the room was not ready and it was on the 25th floor. I guessed this room could be blocked by other buildings, so instead I chose Hudson River View Room on 34th floor. Though the interior is bit old, overall it was really comfortable stay. (I had bath tub too. Though it was old I could relax. Someone said the room is smaller than the rooms in Tokyo, but I felt it is much more spacious than those in Tokyo)

Great location, small rooms, comfortable beds”

location & bed quality

My wife and I stayed in NY for a 1-week New Year's holiday. The New Yorker Hotel is very well located, right next to Madison Square Garden, 3 blocks from the Empire State Building. Rooms as for most hotels in NY are small, but the quality of the bed compensates that... Only minor complaint was that you couldn't regulate the hot water, during the peak ours the water temp was just a bit above lukewarm, so a really hot bath was not an option... Rate was quite salty due to not having reserved early enough.

Our room was perfect size not too small nor too big. Our beds were absolutely the best ever. I would recommend the hotel based on just the bed alone but the stay was very smooth from check in to check out. We had the day to stay and tour til our departure so Hitt had luggage storage access did just $5 per bag we used so we could still go through town with the kids and not carry our belongings m. Absolutely our best stay in New York. Huge lobby to sit as you await your transportation or friends.

Good location

We enjoyed our stay here at the New Yorker Hotel - very well situated - it's 3 mins walk to Madison Square Garden, maybe 5 mins walk to Empire State Building and Penn Station Subway is right beside the hotel. Restaurants are all over the area.. and Macy's is maybe a 5 min walk. Just beware of the doorman offering Private ride to the airport - driver offers a faster ride charging passengers with extra toll - better to take Yellow Taxis!
