Great Cabins but not a 4 star luxury”

Secluded and private, Well appointed Kitchen, Very friendly and helpful staff

A nice retreat but really only 3 star cabins. On arrival the Jaccuzi spa was really nice and warm, but the temperature dropped and it was too cold on other days. Limited mobile reception and poor wi-fi left us without internet. Way more than 500 metres to the beach (more like 1 km but still in walking distance.)

    Not for everyone ”

Close to the One Mile Beach, massage service, Jacuzzi

For a city goer, its a nice escape but for the technology inclined there is no reception indoors. Barring the check in time, there was no one around to ask questions to if something wasn't working. There were bare necessities for the kitchen but not very clean. Even if its a eco-retreat, that wasn't for me.

    Lovely dog friendly location”

    dog friendly, location, jacuzzi

Great overall, just would like to see cleaner. Outdoor campers kitchen was great but not clean. Also cobwebs have a place in a eco location, I feel the inside and outside of unit should be. I say this, but it was a great place and lovely location

Enjoyable BUT Resort needs a lot of TLC”

Quiet & relaxed; Junglly atmosphere; friendly owners

While it was enjoyable, we did have quite a few bugs (ants etc.) in our bathroom in particular. Our cottage was lovely inside & had everything we needed. The grounds and buildings are in need of initially looks really cool, but when you start to really see it, it is kind of shabby and run down & unkept. The owners (very nice people)are working to improve this, however I think they'd benefit by getting it done a lot faster than they've been working so far. It was overpriced for what they had to offer. We'd love to see it again once it's been fixed up.

    Relaxing, peace and quiet”

Size of cabin, close to beach and shopping.

It was a relaxing holiday. The owners were very lovely and helpful and gave us lots of information about Port Stephens. Will definitely go back again.

Perfect stay . We were sorry to leave.”

spacious quarters, natural beauty of setting, friendly hosts

It was a very pleasant experience which we would recommend. The accommodation was in the form of a small house, two stories, so very spacious for the fee charged. Set in paperbark forest, running brook with birds, pleasant warm weather in winter. Just a short drive of 5 minutes to the town of Anna Bay with bistro, bakery, supermarket. We enjoyed it.

    Lovely accommodation, location and staff”

Location near the beach and surrounded by bushlands. Very nice staff. Comfortable and spacious bungalow which is more a small house rather than an ordinary bungalow.

Nice week-end away at the O'Carrollyns Eco Retreat. If you are looking for a quiet place and comfortable place for a gateway with your partner, that is the right place. Few minutes stroll for beautiful One mile beach (check for koalas on the way, we saw one!). Full contained accommodation and one of the great thing was the jacuzzi in the enclosed veranda. Awesome!
