A great hotel all round and excellent service”
I love my stay at The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel. It's a brand new hotel with excellent customer service. We stayed in an Okura Double Room. Great value for money with the room luxuriously confortable and equipped. Located very centrally and very near to the Zhongshan MRT Station, it makes travelling around all the tourist attractions within Taipei City an ease. The size of the room is big and very spacious. The essential needs like the shower & WC are pretty High Tech & excellent quality. Definitely will stay there again in my next visit to Taipei and I highly recommend this hotel for first timers to Taipei or anyone looking for a great hotel within Taipei City near centrally located MRT Station.
Great hotel”
the okura prestige taipei hotel opened in sept 2012. its building was newly constructed and brand new furnishing. hotel interior designs are elegant and classic. furnitures and fittings are lovely. bed is comfortable. i like white and gold lining furnitures. it is a luxury and modern hotel. staff are friendly and helpful, served with smile and full of courteous. fantastic toilet - shower pressure is good, bath tub equipped with tv, toilet bowl is modern and automatic. toilet is separated from shower area. breakfast variety is good enough. room rate i got it from agoda was a good deal. good location - few minutes walking distance to mrt or bus stop. i will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and busienss associates.
Comfortable and convenient new luxurious hotel!”
I really enjoyed my stay in Okura Prestige Taipei. Most of the staff speak Japanese fluently, and some of the staff speak English fluently. The room is spacious, comfortable, high-tech etc... I have no complaint about the room. Every night, I was able to have good sleep. I enjoyed taking a bath watching TV as well. Unfortunately, I didn't have any chance to try their restaurants this time, but I will next time, because there are a lot of small stalls / restaurants around the hotel. Whenever I go to Taipei, I mostly enjoy their street food and their local restaurants / stalls. Overall, I'm very much satisfied with the hotel. It's the advanced version of Japanese hotel in Taipei. If you like Japanese style of treatment, you will love it there:)
Perfect Taipei!”
We had previously stayed at the Okura in Sapporo in Japan and had a very pleasant experience there so decided this hotel because of that previous experience - and we were not disappointed. The Okura Prestige Taipei scores in every department. Its a great location near to public parks, shops and public transport. The lobby area is grand yet welcoming and the staff were very friendly, very helpful and anticipated our needs always - especially given the fact that we were travelling with our 2 year old daughter. We didn't eat at the hotel due to the fact that we wanted to experience local food, however, we did use the onsite bakery a few times for breakfast and the taste and quality were perfect! The room was spotlessly clean and with outstanding facilities and a lovely view to the mountains in the distance. It's not a cheap option for sure, but it certainly delivers. We will be back for sure
Okura Prestige Exceeds All Expectations ”
The Okura Prestige has been my choice hotel every time I have visited Taipei for business or pleasure. It is located in an accessible part of the city which is extremely close to the MTR station (3 mins walk) making it very convenient and easy to travel around Taipei. The service is absolutely immaculate and is fitting of a 5 star hotel with their staff greeting you as you exit the taxi with your bags out of the boot ready to take it in for you without further delay. I was upgraded to an executive room which was divine and it made my night's stay very restful and ready for my activities the next day. I would not hesitate to recommend the Okura Prestige and I am certain anyone who stays there will not be disappointed.
Best hotel for family stay”
I've always selected The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel whenever I go to Taipei with my family. Not only the location is convenient for shopping, the staff performance is also excellent and rooms are very clean. I forgot my doctor prescribed eye medicine in fridge when I checked-out and called the hotel the very same night. The stuff at the hotel assured me that they'll secure it for me to pick-up, and they really did! I really enjoy and trust the employees in this hotel, it's the best hotel in my heart.
very efficient hotel”
The Okura Prestige is located only about 5 minutes by car from the Main Taipei Railway Station. Takes only about 10-15 minutes to walk there. The hotel is very clean and efficient (maybe because they have just started business about 4 months ago) but the facilities are very up to date, the rooms are really comfortable. The only complaint I have is they do not have connecting rooms so for a family with children, you will have t split up and share the parents with kid in 2 separate rooms like I did. Good value for money for those who can afford to splurge on accomodation while on holiday
A++ Bell Desk / A+ Housekeeping / B- Guest Relations / C- BREAKFAST....”
1. Bell Desk staffs at Okura prestige Taipei were superb in all areas: they took care of all our restaurant reservations and helped us to navigate ourselves in and out of the city, not to mention their nearly perfect language skills. I've been to many other hotels including those of Okura franchise, but the their service was truly outstanding. 2. The cleanness of the facility was impeccable as expected. Housekeeping staffs were always cheerful and friendly as well. The spa at 20th floor was also amazing. 3. Even though I have emailed prior to our check-in stating that I am traveling with my parents to celebrate their anniversary, I did not receive any considering service nor a single celebratory remark during our 3-consecutive-days stay. I must say it was very disappointing. 4. Lastly, please do stay away from the breakfast.... Nonetheless, I cannot deny the fact that the hotel is at the best location ever to travel around the city using both MRT an taxi.
Fantastic hotel”
you will definitely not regret staying in okura prestige taipei. the price may be a little higher than the rest of the hotels, but it is worth every penny spent! from the moment i stepped in to the hotel, the room, the dining, till the day i checked out - only one word to describe my feeling of this hotel - fantastic.
Luxushotel in Taipei”
Physically, the rooms at the Okura Prestige Taipei are one of the most comfortable Taipei - and as many reviewers have said: (1) The intuitive division of the room between the showers, toilet, bedroom; (2) the two televisions in the bathroom and the living room means one is never bored in the room, (3) the extremely comfortable beds that are neither too hard nor too soft which are great for insomniac travelers
The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel”
The Okura Prestige Taipei Hotel is a very good hotel indeed, no matter you are on holidays or having a business trip. The service is very prompted, and the hotel i s just fine. I especially like the sauna room on the 20th floor.
Brand new hotel with automatic equipment ”
The new hotel is clean & neat with bright room. The staff members are polite, kind, and full of smile, even sometimes they bow 90 degrees to the guest! The japanese restaurant serve delicious food. Toilet bowl is convenient with auto-buttons panel, where we can flush, dry and even massage our bottom with a soft touch on the buttons! The curtains also have automatic control buttons. The room is spacious & for comfortability the toilet & showers are separated by door. The drawback is only that not all staff can speak English. Most of them only speak Mandarin. We have been travelling & stayed in number of 5 stars hotels in Asia and so far this hotel is the best among all even compared to 5 star hotels in Spore, Hongkong etc in view of service, facility, features & location. Hoping that in years to come Okura Taipei will continuously maintain its excellences. Certainly we will return to this hotel again when we visit Taipei.
Perfect stay in Taipei ”
I really enjoyed staying at Okura Prestige. It is far better than one in Japan - this one is a upper class of Okura hotel which offers better service and well deigned room. Truly recommend it to everyone visiting Taipei !
New, Very comfortable, nice location, but pricey.”
I was upgraded to a nicer suite room and was very impressed with everything that Okura has to offer. I stay at hotels 80% of the year due to my job, and I was very impressed with what Okura has to offer. Okura is the breed of newer hotels in Taipei (like W, Le Meridian, etc.) which are very pricey, but ensure that you don't feel overcharged. The service is japanese-style which means full hospitality...fortunately the room size that I was at was not japanese style..being very generous with room with a living room, balcony area, and great bathroom with a TV inside! Fully recommend this place again..when pricing is reasonable.
Fantastic hotel, service, and location”
My wife and I with our 3 young children stayed in Okura for 5 nights and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is new and staff was polite and helpful. The room was great, and we got one on the highest floor (19th) and has view facing the main street with a wall to wall glass window, and could even see Taipei 101 when it's not too hazy. My children simply loved the room and the toilet was the usual high tech one that is becoming common: heated seat, automatic seat, all the spraying options that you can imagine thru the wall mounted control panel. Location is great, within walking distance to metro and numerous eating places around the hotel in the alleyways. And plenty of shopping with a Sogo-type department store just short distance away for those who like high end goods. If you are willing to walk the 10-15 minutes, there is a night market too. The one downside is that Taipei is constructing new train lines and the roads nearby and underpasses became a real challenge to navigate.
Value for money, with Japanese finishing touches”
We found the Okura to be excellent value for money compared to other 5 star hotels in Taipei. The staff, facilities and cleanliness of the rooms were all exceptional. There were also thoughtful finishing touches like origami left on our bed, complementary pineapple cakes from the Okura bakery downstairs, and Japanese toilets. Our one piece of feedback is that the late check out policy is quite rigid - it would be nice if the hotel could have a more relaxed policy towards this especially on days with spare rooms available for incoming guests.
Excellent customer service”
Excellent hotel with great customer services, and will definitely stay again. Only suggestion is the pillow too soft. I would expect a Japanese style pillow because they are Okura, rather than only choices of western pillows. My family of six were having pillow problem in our stay of five nights. Please improve this. The housekeeper even remembered what you had requested, and in the next day they would bring over your requested items without letting you to ask again. Most 5-6 star hotels cannot perform this level of services, Okura Taipei is good.
Comfortable Rooms, Great Location”
The hotel is conveniently located, close to a MRT station, shopping malls just nearby, a variety of great restaurants and a local night market all within walking distance. The Okura Prestige Hotel lives up to its reputation of great service and their modernly furnished comfortable and elegant accommodations.
Excellent hotel with rooms of perfect size!”
This Hotel is the best that I've stayed in Taipei. It is very well-priced and it opened in about 09/12. The staff are very polite and everything is well thought of. It is also a stone's throw away from an MRT station which makes transport an easy subject. A must stay if you are looking into the ZhongShan district !
early check in problem”
I stayed four nights. I directly requested to Okura early check-in at 09:00. They replied NT$9775 (US$318) for 6 hours till 15:00. I thought it was crazy rate. One week before my departure Okura sent me email confirming early check-in. I told them it is stupid rate, so they reduced the price NT$6517(US$210). I thought it is still too high, I told them "cancel my reservation " that I have never reserved. Eventually, I checked in Okura at 10:00, hotel front desk offered NT$2600 (US$90) at my arrival. Agoda should state early check-in and late check-out rate of every hotel they list.
