Fun architecture and big rooms”
Completely over the top architecture. Kids loved it. The dinner was good and very reasonably priced. Beware there are no elevators! We were on the top floor in room A133 where they need some sound proofing to keep out the noise of the trucks at night. We would stay here again but in a different room away from the road.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and I love that they wear period costumes! It has a "horror movie" vibe to it at night - but that's part of the experience. The breakfast spread was good. It would have been nicer if the terrace and pool were better maintained. I stayed in the standard room which turned out to be on the lower floors which was a slight disappointment. I was told that the Fantasia rooms are on the upper levels so the views from those would be better.

Breathtaking Environment and Beautifully Designed Hotel Structure with Excellent Service!”
This place is one of the must-visit for tourists. Why? The structures of the Hotel is beautifully designed with a theme of Old England, which of course explain the name of the Hotel, and the Hotel is located on the edge of a cliff, which oversees mountain ridges (awesome awesome view!). Upon checking in the hotel, the staff will show you around your room and explains to you how every device in your room works. We stayed in an ExecQueen Room and it comes with an excellent sounds system which really adds to the romantic or old England 'feel' of the room! The room comes with a conplementary white wine too which you and your partner can have a romantic drink before turning in. The Hotel have an excellent course-meal which is not expensive that you may wish to opt for too! The Hotel is conveniently located near Cingjing Farm too, about 5mins drive away. I highly recommend this place if you are going to Cingjing as a couple!

Absolutely great, I am impressed”
Probably the best hotel experience i ever had. The hotel is so gorgeous, luxury room with Hermes toiletry(wow) and ferragano soap (wow) , comes with more than enough drinks in the mini bar for free (a bottle vodka, heneiken, wine and can of beer, soft drinks, chocolate, pudding). If you are into audio, you will be very satisfied with the audio system provided that play super high quality songs, guest are allowed to pick 3 music cd at the lobby. The customer service is impressive, our luggage is huge and the staff help us during check in and check out. They remember the guest names, and warmly greet us everytime they see us. The dinner and breakfast is serve in the posh restaurant right in the hotel. My ribeye steak is good however my partner pork ribs is kinda over cooked, she didn't eat much and the staff saw, insisted to replace a plate of scallops for her, great customer service. There's a music appreciation night event at their beautiful Shakespeare hall, serving unlimited free hard liquor from the bar at night. Overall it is a wonderful experience at the old England. It is not an affordable hotel for sure, not to us also, but we would very much extend our stay or come again at the cost of killing our wallet. It is that good :)

Elegant stay with mountain view”
Awesome stay with The Old England Hotel 1) Nice English Castle and Victoria Decoration 2) Warmly staff with great welcome and guidance to guests 3) Spacious room with nice ambient with a pair of Logic speakers to play classical music. 4) enjoy all 3 meals in the hotel, thumb up!!! 5) free music appreciation event at music hall played by famous Focal-Utopia speakers.... Quite tacky but very luxurious”
The hotel is like a mini Tudor-style Disneyland. It looks and feels Olde England alright, with a luxury level that far surpasses most hotels even in Taipei. Included dinner (in room price) was a five-course French dinner set that was solid. The numerous Roman/Greek statues and busts made the atmosphere downright tacky but it more than makes up for it with excellent service. Only major complaint: I was there in end-December when weather was cold and wet, but the property didn't have a good heater system in the rooms. The electric fireplace didn't work well, was too weak.

Unique experience”
Having stayed at Shangri La Music Villa, decided to up the ante and try out Old England, both owned by the same. If you fancy classical Victorian Tudor styled decor and theme, this is the place for you. Comfortable beddings, Hermes toiletries and exemplary service. Perfect place for a restful sleep before you scale Mt Hehuan for a sunrise viewing followed by a trek up the peak. Improvements can be made on the room slippers. They’re exquisite but for this price point, the hotel could better to provide sizes? Mine was too big and I sprained my ankles wearing them.

Excellent service”
This is one of the best stay i have in taiwan. Although its not at the highest point in Cingjing as compared to some other minsu, Old England is an attraction by itself and the staffs here are extremely friendly and polite. The suite came stock up with various beers, drinks, fruits as well as a 2015 red wine. Highly recommended to stay at least once here in order to explore the interior and enjoy the services provided by the staff.

Luxury”
Most luxurious hotel in the cingjing area. Very well appointed and luxurious rooms. Opulently decorated hotel. Owner is an audiophile and has a large music room with an awesome sound system. Every night after dinner, everyone is invited to the music room to enjoy different genres of music and a night cap in a very dark and dim music room. The host will introduce each song before it is played and talk about the music and what to listen out for. Thoroughly enjoyed myself at the music room - something to remember for a long time. Spent the rest of the stay busy taking photos at every corner of the hotel which is breathtakingly stunning. Definitely a stay to remember.

Old England provides shuttling service from hotel to the convenience store/shopping area. Staff were really helpful. Music appreciation was awesome as the sound system was freaking good! BONUS, free cocktails were provided during the appreciation. Bed was comfy and everything in the room was provided, red wine, beer etc. Definitely heading back again if ever had the chance!

Special experience”
It was a very special experience staying in the Old England Hotel. The buildings are very beautiful and unique in that area. It is itself a attraction so you will see tourists not staying in this hotel (they are not allowed to enter the hotel except the restaurant). The staff are very friendly and helpful. You should definitely join the "concert" at night which will be very much memorable and enjoyable.

Lovely Classic English hotel”
It is a well thought hotel with excellent features that allows one to reminiscence English Life Style - this means you need not go to England to have your own castle but in Taiwan. The owners have done very well in terms of decor, food, gardens. It is a lovely hotel and will like to go back again with large rooms and fantastic sound system. Though it is pricey but you pay what you get.

My best ever stay in Taiwan ”
1. It started with a "wow" first impression despite us checking in very late in the evening. Our tired bodies found very friendly staff called Anna who made our check in memorable, pleasant and enjoyable. 2. The dinner was value for money considering the quality of the fine dining and the focus on etiquette. Staff are all well trained. 3. The hotel environment is a big draw for all views lovers. Our 2 families took hundreds of photos in the next morning with many varieties of camera loving angles. There are gates that prevents non hotel guests from entering. That adds to the exclusivity. We appreciated that. 4. The room is spacious, authentic in its black and white concept and the beds are very comfortable. The designer is thoughtful on the high end sound system to allow guests enjoy high quality classical music with a wide range of original CDs. 5. Hermes shower gel and shampoo, what else will make the ladies scream over the toilets even though it is smaller than we thought.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service”
The hotel is elegantly designed with every aspect from the interior design of the building to the room decorations and amenities being top quality. Dining room is beautiful with their friendly waiter ke le introducing every dish of our 5 course dinner to us. What makes the stay a pleasing one is the excellent service that their staff provide. Staff are well-mannered and ensure that your needs are well-catered to. The hotel has complimentary shuttle bus service and when we were stuck in green green farmland due to heavy rain, the driver offered umbrella and fetched us back to the hotel. We contacted the hotel for items that we have left behind. The staff tried their best and delivered the items back to Singapore. We are grateful for their help and would like to thank Lance, Sugar and Joan. Would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel. Value for money.

Best hotel up in the mountain ”
This is the nicest hotel up in the mountains! The rooms are super spacious and the staff are polite. We really feel comfortable up in the mountain staying here. The interior is really amazingly decorated. Each corner of the property is carefully decorated with the Old English theme. The best is the breakfast! After we had the breakfast here, we no longer like what we had for the rest of our trip back in the city, haha!

Fantastic Service with comfortable roome”
We were impressed by the service provided by the staff. She gave us an interesting introduction of the room and places where we should go and take nice pictures. Furthermore, she was concerned if we did hire a driver as it was quite inconvenience to travel down to the restaurants from the hotel. It was an expensive stay but certainly worth the money that we have spent. An awesome experience that I would certainly like to go back again. I would recommend you to stay there if you have a car or hire a driver else it will be really inconvenience to leave the hotel.
