Sparkling clean serviced apartment at close proximity to the airport and walkable distance to the boat jetty. Host was very helpful and check-in process was easy. He also helped arrange local sightseeing tours. Contact number provided on Agoda is invalid but available at the door once you arrive at the location.

Missed transport arrangement and invalid contact phone no!”
Waited over 1.5 hours at the airport and asked the information counter to help for checking the contact no. The phone no. as shown on Agoda doesn't exist, nor even the info. counter checked the no. being valid. So we had to take the taxi by ourselves and had much hassle in finding the hotel. The hotel looks like a household family sharing the rooms as a hostel. The room is very clean. Though the hotel paid for the departure transport trip, it was really a horrible arrangement for the arrival and we had only 4 hour sleep due to the early departure on the next day.

Booked The Orca. Saw review that they have a tendency to switch hotel upon arrival for whatever reason, so I emailed them a week in advance to confirm the room, which they replied that the room will be ready upon our arrival. Landed into Malé airport and gave them a call, only to be told that the room we booked had some electrical fault, and we had to switch to another hotel instead. Hotel that we were relocated had no lift and no hairdryer.

Surprisingly nice”
We were just trying to find a place to rest before our evening flight and we found this hostel. The hostel is nicely located in a quiet community nearby the beach, which is just 15-20min away from the airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful to arrange transportation to and from airport for us, and recommend nearby restaurants. The room itself as well as other facilities of the hostel are all new, very clean, and nicely maintained. We were particularly impressed by the helpfulness of the staff because my boyfriend dropped his cell phone at the taxi on our way back to airport. Without the help of the airline crew and hostel staff, we won’t be able to track back the taxi driver that gave us the ride, and get his phone back right before our departure. I must say it impresses us a lot. Thanks, the Orca and your staff!

Hotel avec décorations moderne mais caractéristiques hotel mensongères”
Nous avons pris 3 nuits dans cet hotel car sur sa fiche descriptive, il indiquait avoir une plage privée et une piscine exterieure. À hulhumalé on ne peut pas se baigner sur les plages publics en bikini cest pour cela que nous avons choisis cet hotel. Sauf qu'il n'y avait pas de piscine et pas de plage privée. L'hotelier nous a indiqué que la seule plage bikini etait celle réservée aux touristes, rien à voir avec les photos qu'il avait publier sur Agoda. Sur 3 nuits restées, la chambre n'a pas été nettoyer une seule fois, et on ne nous a pas fourni d'autres serviettes/papier toilette . On nous a proposé de rester deux nuits de plus pour se faire "pardonner", en nous donnant une suite avec "jacuzzi et balcon" pour le mm prix que la premiere sauf que lorsqu'on nous a montré la suite, c'etait une simple baignoire avec balcon vue sur les travaux. À noter : un jacuzzi etait sur le toit, mais une fois de plus un probleme : il ne fonctionnait pas.chambre payée 68 euros la nuit : decevant

Leider können wir das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Nach Ankunft wurde uns gesagt, dass wir trotz einer bestätigten und bezahlten Buchung (im Februar gebucht) kein Zimmer erhalten werden. Laut Aussage des Personals sei man bereits für die nächsten Monate ausgebucht. Nach langer Wartezeit und Hartnäckigkeit wurde uns ein Zimmer im Relax Beach Inn angeboten. Scheinbar wird in diesem Hotel immer ein Kontigent für ausquartierte Gäste des The Orca vorgehalten. Aber auch dort wollte es erst nicht richtig funktionieren. Der Inhaber vom The Orca hatte leider nicht wie versprochen Kontakt mit dem Hotel aufgenommen. Schließlich haben wir nach weiterer Wartezeit doch ein Zimmer bekommen. Dies entsprach aber nicht annähernd den Standards vom The Orca. Leider gab es keine Rückerstattung, sondern lediglich eine Gutscheinkarte von Agoda. Für uns wirkt das Hotel sehr dubios und wie eine Masche. Laut Agoda hat Ihnen der Inhaber eine spontane Renovierung als Grund für die Probleme genannt.

I booked this hotel several month ago, however the hotel sent me a message before two hours on Check In day that your room won't be prepared for it due to unexpected maintenance. So, I had to serch for another hotel on that day in a hurry. When you book this hotel, be careful for the unilateral sudden cancel. 数カ月前に予約していたのにもかかわらず、チェックイン当日の2時間前に、一方的にホテルから「思いがけないメインテナンスの為、部屋が用意出来ない」とメッセージが届いた。すぐに確認書の電話番号へ連絡するも、何度かけても電話が繋がらず、そのくせそのメッセージに返信するとすぐに「すぐにキャンセルしてください」だって。居留守使うホテルって、ひどいね。何度も旅をしてるけど、当日キャンセルされたホテルは今回が初めてで嫌な気持ちで帰国することになった。このホテル「The Orca」を予約するときは、突然の思いがけないメインテナンスいわゆる、オーバーブッキングにはご注意を!!!
