Impressive service at all levels, 10 out of 10!”
Stayed here with a group of 6 people. Hotel provided excellent service and greeted us every time we saw them. Great value for the price. Breakfast included pork/chicken rice porridge and American breakfast, both were delicious and filling. Beautiful location as shown in the pictures. On top of that, we forgot our phone in the room after checking out and the staff went out of their way to contact us and drive it to the pier. There's also a great cafe nearby called Beach 59 that serves alcoholic drinks and food with a great view. Highly recommended.

Stayed with a 1-year-old and 4-year-old child. It is a very quiet place and perfect for relaxation. The downtown area is far away, but there are many delicious and affordable restaurants within a 3-5 minute bike ride. It is recommended to have a bike or rental car. Highly recommended for those who want to stay quietly and avoid crowds. The facilities are a bit old. It is not like a new hotel, but the staff's response and the nice location cover them. The price is also very good. The beautiful garden is well maintained by the staff. Overall, it was a hotel that I definitely want to come back to. Beach: It is quite shallow and not suitable for swimming. However, there is no problem with relaxing, watching, or taking pictures. It is a completely private beach, with only a few guests (or none) staying. It is almost private. There is no more luxurious location than this. Pool: There are three pools. All pools are well maintained. We always used the pool in front of the sea with the best view. There are no staff at the bar counter, but if you ask the staff at the adjacent restaurant, you can get a menu. The price is a bit expensive, but it is worth paying if you want to relax without leaving the hotel. Breakfast: It is a choice of breakfast. There are not many types, but each one is delicious and simple. It may not be enough for those who like buffet-style breakfast, but we were satisfied enough. You can order additional drinks and food. Restaurant: We had dinner. The price is a bit higher than the average Thai food restaurant, about 100-200B. It is convenient to use this restaurant if you don't want to go outside with children. Staff: The staff are all friendly and helpful. They always support us when we are in trouble. Among them, Ms. Fan beer (I'm not sure if the spelling is correct...) was very considerate and thanks to her, we had a great stay. Our whole family is sincerely grateful. Thank you very much. We will definitely come back.
Nice property, service can be improved”
The property is right on the beach which is beautiful and we had a nice stay. We had a few mishaps regarding service which could have been improved upon. The first - We booked the beachfront villa which is beautiful. When we arrived, the AC didn't work (it was very hot) and that bathroom hadn't been fully reset. The staff noticed this and immediately set to work to fix everything. Unfortunately, it took about a couple hours to fix the AC, and cut into the rest of our daylight that day so we were not able to enjoy the unit that day as we had hoped as there were workers in the unit. We were hoping the hotel would provide some sort of remedy for this (a discount for that day or something) but they did not. The second -- we booked a 2 hour massage with some other treatments a day in advance, but when we got to the spa, the masseuse said it wasn't possible and could only do 1 hour. We could not understand the reason why as there was a language barrier. This was disappointing but not a deal breaker. When we went to check out the final bill, we were still charged the full 2 hours and, as there was a language barrier, had a difficult time explaining that we only received 1 hour of service and shouldn't be charged the full amount. The food is good but extremely overpriced. All bills include a service charge and VAT so your bill ends up being 17% higher. The property is very secluded which means it is nice and quiet if you want that, however, we found that cabs were expensive when we wanted to explore other parts of the island, and often cabs did not go to the hotel area. It would have been much more economical to rent a bike, but we were too nervous as drivers are a little crazy in Thailand and Koh Sumui. All in all, we had a good time and the property is very beautiful but wouldn't consider this property 5 stars from a Western standard, given the service issues.

An older 5* hotel, with a classic style. Located on the best beach on Koh Samui if you like a peaceful, clean, sandy beach with stunning sunsets. The large pool villa room had two comfortable rooms and a spacious bathroom. The plunge pool was compact, but useable, and the direct beach access was wonderful. Before arriving I'd seen reviews about the need for maintenance and repairs, and if you look close enough you can find fault, but during my stay the pool decking was being replaced, so repairs are being carried out. All staff were excellent, breakfast was very good and I appreciated the late checkout. A hotel does not have to be perfect to have a perfect stay.

We experienced many issues and the biggest was resolved by general manager Axel. Thank you. Other items could be improved like reserving airport pickup, delays at restaurant to receive drinks and dinner even considering island time. Housecleaning was hit or miss with providing complimentary water and soda. In addition, when room is cleaned, the door is open which allows mosquitoes and flies to enter. Water shower pressure us low. The pools are lovely, clean and refreshing. Beach is extremely quiet and can wade out over 100 yards at knee height. If you frequently desire services in town, this location is further away so be aware. Most staff is wonderful. With that said, it's a great place to relax and disconnect for awhile.
