Great Service, strongly recommend”
It's my boyfriend's birthday while we were staying at the hotel. The hotel has prepared birthday card and mini-cake for us without any additional charge, such a warm greeting! Very clean room and superior service. The buffet breakfast was very nice that I'd strongly recommend to try at least once. The only thing that can be improved is the hotel facility (as I remember the gym room was not free-of-charge and the spa was quite expensive). The hotel is located at another side of the river that you need to take hotel's shuttle boat to-and-from the pier. Waiting time is 10-20min, which I think it's acceptable. All in all, it's a very nice hotel and I'd recommend to stay.
Dear Ying, It is our pleasure to learn that we have been able to create memorable greetings for your boyfriend's special day. We are pleased that you have enjoyed your appointed rooms and our breakfast offerings along with the courteous service from our team. However, we are sorry to hear that you have been misinformed about our gym facilities as our Fitness center is available 24 hrs as complementary to all our guests. We hope you will have another chance to experience our fitness center along with other complimentary health & harmony programs offered daily as well. Please contact us directly for your future visit so we can personalize your stay! Best regards, Donna Lee Director of Rooms
Good service. Staff are very polite and help. Free activities such as Thai boxing, stretch & Stress relief, Boot Camp Exercise and morning Yoga. Boat services to BTS station, Iconsiam, Asiatique and River City. Overall is worth money to stay.
Dear Madam/Sir, Wow! Gladly to know you likes "Heath & Harmony Activity" hope you enjoyed it! And looking forward to having you with us again soon. Best Regards, Kaewta Phinyochanasin Assistant Front Office Manager The Peninsula Bangkok
Enormous rooms, attentive staff. [NOTE - half of pool is closed until end of May 2019]”
The rooms of this hotels are exceptional. They are are enormous, with space for a sitting area, work desk, walk in wardrobe and bathroom that fits two with space for more. Each room has an angled nook with long views over the river and city. Food is tasty - expensive - but lots of options and enjoyable flavours. Spa and Gym are extensive. Gym has steam and sauna, with plunge pool next door. Big warning. Half the pool is closed for re- tiling until end of May. There is still a sizeable part of the pool open. But on busy days it gets hard to find an open deck chair. Especially if you have a group.
Dear Timothy, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your recent stay experience at our hotel. We are very pleased to learn that you had enjoyed our spacious rooms with a full river view, our food outlets and other facilities we have offered along with the courteous service from our team. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by our emergency maintenance of the upper swimming pool and thank you very much for your kind understanding. We hope to welcome you back to the PEN in the near future and please contact us for any queries or assistance needed. Best regards, Donna Lee Director of Rooms
Walkable distance to iconsiam where we enjoyed dining and shopping very much. Nice thai restaurant in the hotel and the service is flawless. We can't complain anything for these rates. Definitely we will come back.

Beautiful hotel on the Chao Phraya River”
We spent a weekend at The Peninsula in Bangkok. The hotel is on the west side of the river bank and has a free ferry that can get you to the other side or to other boat terminals. The rooms are classic and views (at least in the corner rooms) are panoramic. The service is attentive, and the employees are very welcoming. We ate breakfast there each morning and appreciated the plethora of more unique breakfast options (from beet juice to goji berries and everything in between) but would have loved some more Thai dishes.
Dear Julie, Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! We hope you had great experiences in recent stay and looking forward to having you with us again soon. Best regards, Kaewta Phinyochanasin Assistant Front Office Manager The Peninsula Bangkok
Excellent hotel in Bangkok ”
This place is posh and elegant. We loved the seafood buffet dinner on the riverside watching the boats go by and catching a nice breeze. Then we took a boat over to the other side for drinks at Le Dome. It was so convenient. Would definitely stay here again when I’m in Bangkok.
The hotel is generally speaking acceptable. However, my experience with the nail service at the spa is really a nightmare. This was the worst nail polishing I have in my life. The facility is totally inadequate to do hard gel removal and polishing. The nail polishing technique is horrible. For a fees of almost HK$800 this is really unbelievable. I really did not expect to get such quality of service in a 5 star hotel like Peninsula.
The pool alone makes it worth it”
It's one of the nicest pools I've ever seen and the setting, right along the river surrounded by tropical plants and trees, is pretty fantastic. Rooms are fine but a bit dated (technology in the rooms feels like late 90s/early 2000s) but the views are great. At $200+ a night, they are certainly not a bargain by Bangkok standards, even amount 5 stars, but worth the splurge for pool and location. Also, Mei Jing, their Chinese restaurant, has some of the best dim sum I've had anywhere in the world, and Thiptara, designed around an old wooden Thai house, with candlelit tables right on the river, is one of the most magical dining settings I've ever seen.
Perfect place for family trip”
Good view, delicious breakfast, nice swimming pool.
Good people, good food, good facilities
Dear Jovita, Thank you very much for taking time to sharing your previous stay. I am delighted to learn that you had enjoyed moment during your stay with us. We do hope to have a chance to serve you again in the nearest future. Best Regards, Kaewta Phinyochanasin Assistant Front Office Manager The Peninsula Bangkok
Peninsula Bangkok lives up to its name in terms of the service and hospitality. Although the rooms are a bit old, but they are very functional and has just that little bit of class. The only setback was the location as its not walking distance to the major thoroughfare. Other than that, it was perfect.
Location, pool and service great. Food only OK”
This is an impressive hotel. Great views over the water and the city. Rooms are big and well stocked. Staff are attentive. Swimming pool is large and shaded. A world class hotel. We live in Bangkok, and booked here as a staycation. Enjoyed it immensely. Only note is that the food was underwhelming, especially for the price. The food served by the pool was good but not great. The pizza and hamburgers at the riverside restaurant in the evening were low in flavour. Need more seasoning (or better ingredients). The buffet breakfast is expansive - but I have had better at other five star hotels. Lastly we tried the Sunday brunch. Lots of highlights here - the beef, seafood options (especially oysters) and cheese were amazing. But desert options limited and disappointing. We'll be back - but will eat dinner across the river at a competitor
Amazing hotel with amazing staffs”
Can't wait come back again! All the staffs were so nice and helpful. I was night flight , but after check out you are still allowed to enjoy the ficilities of hotel. That was so relaxing having shower before flight.
POOLSIDE RIVER ACTION”
The entire hotel is terrific but our favorite location is on the covered daybeds around the beautiful pools. The pool staff provide brilliant service and the activities on the river provide interesting distractions throughout the day and early evening.
Property a bit dated, but excellent service”
Noticeably aging building and furnishings. New Samsung TV had very poor speakers and a very dodgy remote control. Missing toiletries. Dinner at the Terrace restaurant was only ok, not great, and certainly not worth the price were it not for the fine riverside location. Otherwise, top-notch service and clean. I'll probably try a different 5-star hotel next time in BKK.
A beautiful hotel but not the best and overpriced”
The peninsula is a beauty hotel with very professional and smiling staff. Anyway we think the food in all restaurants were really overpriced. Same for the Spa so we didn't go :( The pool is too small and it is sometimes difficult to find a seat available which is unacceptable for the price you pay. So if you are really rich you can go to Peninsula and probably enjoy it, but we went last year for a cheaper price to the Shangri-la and enjoyed it better so we will not go to Peninsula again....c'est la vie! :)
Beautiful hotel and well trained staff”
Hotel itself is very nice, the balcony view is amazing, room is large and clean. There is boat transfer to the BTS station. Staff are super helpful and give useful advise for our travel. Great hotel!
Everything was good, but not feel staff smile...”
I'm just stay 2 night in hotel, the check in times start at 2pm. Those facilities was great, pool, spa, restaurant in good conditions. In room, I choose the balcony suites, it is facing the river, is very beautiful! Those rooms facilities was in good conditions. However, one day, I was late of my breakfast on the ground floor, a manager tell me the right locations and it was only 15 mins left the breakfast finish, but noting too much smile for me.... it was my false but I don't feel they are care of the Asia guest. I was say thank you to the ferry staff! They are very kindly and smiles again! It is very good help!!
Birthday card addressed to the wrong person”
It was a birthday celebration trip for my husband. I had emailed to the hotel prior to my check-in. The hotel was kind enough to arrange the birthday amenity for us which was a nice touch. The birthday card was addressed to myself rather than my husband ( i used my name for booking). It was a disappointment and I expect better from a 5 star hotel such as Peninsula.
