The Peninsula Tokyo
Pros: Location, sitting at the middle of Ginza, all shops are just steps away. Cons: the size/facility of thier gym is just average,at thier price bracket,i will expect better gym than what they are having right now.hopefully they will improve it.
You want perfect?”
My wife and I stayed at the Peninsula for three nights, the first two separated by three days as we took a trip to Kyoto. Do you want perfect from the minute you arrive until you leave? Stay here. Great location, the room is spotless, the ability to separate the sleeping/ sitting area from closet and bath is terrific for two people reacting to jet lag differently. The staff is perfect. Completely attentive yet not over bearing. Engaging yet incredibly professional. They do everything well and make you feel like a guest. It’s a little expensive but if you want the best experience of your life, pay it.
Good Facilities But...”
The quality of the residence is outstanding. But the hotel bar at the 24th floor is a shame... well so banal and mediocre, if I say it modestly. I felt so sad. And I'm not inclined to come back to the hotel where the hotel bar is rubbishy.

Loved the room”
We booked 2 rooms at the peninsula for the convenience of our family, loved the rooms, the staff was really trying to be helpful however we had many problems with the room keys, the breakfast in the lobby was full everyday and the choice limited and not flexible. Location is excellent.
Fantastic rooms, great location, pricey”
Rooms are among the nicest I have stayed in -- huge walk in closet, good sized sitting area, large and well-designed two-sink bathroom with separate dedicated bath, shower and smoked glass to provide nice touch of privacy in toilet area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby area a bit small (esp. compared to grand Peninsula in HK) and filled with restaurant tables, but lobbies not terribly functional anyway. Location is convenient to financial center. Very pricey though.
A bit disappointing service”
A little bit disappointed with the Service considering it's the peninsula. Was standing in the lobby for 20mins waiting for our airport shuttle, when finally offered a seat only to have the bus come 30seconds later. Expected a little more. Rooms were superb thou
What an amazing hotel, the rooms are very well appointed, fantastic bedding, bathrooms etc. Staff are very attentive and helpful, Room service probably the best I have ever experienced. If I could choose one small thing they could improve it is the lack of USB/HDMI ports in the rooms, but otherwise outstanding in every way.
Great location & service ”
Everything was great but I wasn't impressed with the entrance that was greeted by two isles of diners. They also ran out Japanese breakfast by 930am, no Chinese breakfast and western breakfast was far from 5 star standard. Nevertheless great view from hotel, large suite, great location for shopping
WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN”
This is one of my most enjoyable hotels I have ever stayed. The room is very comfortable and modern. Everything is up to my expectation. You can easily access to everywhere from the hotel. I will undoubtedly visit this hotel again.
Big and comfortable room”
The room is very big, well furnished and comfortable. The location of the hotel is convenient. Train station right at the basement of the hotel. Adjacent to the royal place and within walking distance to shopping areas.
Truly top-class hotel”
Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to all the Ginza shopping areas, great food around the area, porter is attentive to our needs, concierge very knowledgeable and helpful, rooms are clean and well furnished. Top class hotel.
I always love to stay at Peninsula but sometimes the price is too expensive depends on the season.
The best concierge service in Japan”
The room is very clean but only the water temperate of shower was not stable and housekeeping doesn’t fill amenity(shower cap, etc.)daily as usual.

Not an impressived stay”
The hotel facility and location is excellent. But was very disappointed at their service level.I mentioned in my booking that we were stsying with a child below 3 yrs old and I read some comments that they got email prior to their arrival to confirm the baby arrangement. But I never received email from them also on our arrival the reception guy didnt ask nor arrange anything for the child even if he saw the child.Until the next morning I called for baby slippers the house keeping came and setup everything. We stayed three five stars hotels during our trip, this hotel we found was the less impressived and most disappoited in terms of the service level. The tissue boxes and all the hangers were very dusty...
Don't like it now after 5 year first stay”
1. The hotel blocked 60,000JPY from credit card and that's quite a lot and I really think it's unnecessary. A huge fax machine in room and a outdated coffee machine in room. No kettle in room as they claim their coffee machine provide's hot water. 2. Busy and noisy lobby. When you enter the main door, what welcoming you is full of afternoon tea tables rigjt beside the entrance path. People chatting like a market and I don't feel privilege and luxury staying there. After passing by all the restaurants, you were directed to a small checkin room with a line on it. No chairs around, no lobby staff come for greetings or say sorry. You just have to stand and que there for check in. What a nice welcoming as a famous 5 star hotel. 3. Many new building built and blocks good view.

We booked the Peninsula through Agoda at almost 70% discount. Even though we booked third party, we were never treated any differently! They were late with our check-in because of the room type, they made every effort to compensate for the delay. We were asked to wait in the Lobby Cafe to have afternoon tea and when the room was ready, I requested for our bill only to find out our entire meal was comped! Make time to use their pool and saunas, absolutely fabulous!
The stay was awesome. Rooms, food, and pool was a great addition to Japan. The detail was great and the attention they gave you upon arrival to departure was great. Rooms were excellent no complaints at all worth the money!!!
Hotels is great but lounge wasn'r”
We had a fantastic stay at the Peninsula. The staff was superb and the room was luxurious. Our complaint was the lounge, especially the music selection which was just loud and horrible and the antithesis of everything else in the hotel. The lounge was also too big and had an sad and empty feel to it.
One of the best hotels in the world”
I stayed 2 nights and after 2 nights elsewhere in Japan I returned for a further 2 nights. Everything about this hotel is outstanding and I am sure that it is better than the Peninsula, New York which itself is very good (I stayed there in March). I was welcomed on my return as an established guest. Breakfast was good but lunch was excellent and reasonably priced.
Best hotel in Tokyo!”
Our family stayed at The Peninsula from August 2-7. This was our first trip to Japan. We have stayed at many 5 stars hotels, and The Peninsula is the best one! The room is super big and comfortable. The make up/changing room is very nice and beautiful. The service is EXCELLENT! Love this hotel and definitely this is our favourite hotel for our family!
