We've been traveling to Bangkok for years, and we always stay here when flying in or out of the international airport.

Great Overnight Stop Between Flights”
I've stayed at the Phoenix Hotel Bangkok at least 5 times, and I'm totally pleased with the service, cleanliness, price, everything. I haven't eaten there, so I wasn't going to rate the food, but the survey didn't go through until I did, so it have it a 5, since I don't want to lower my overall rating, so look for other reviews that might talk about the food. I have no idea. If you're looking for a place to stay where you can walk to shops, restaurants, etc., I don't think this is the place for you, but for a good night's sleep, with comfortable beds, a/c, nice bathroom--when you're stopping in Bangkok at night and have to catch another flight in the morning, this is definitely the place to go. Getting there is quick, and you might start to wonder as your van drives down a few small back roads that look like an industrial area before you get there, but truly, once you're inside, you'll be very pleased you chose the Phoenix Hotel Bangkok.
Simple, Lovely, Basic. Value for Money!”
The location: It is really near the airport. No worry about missing the flight or caught in the jam since the hotel provide transport service to & fro the airport. It took about 15 mins from the hotel to airport. The Room: Its very lovely! Just like the pictures you see on Agoda. Pleasant clean bathroom. Air-con is working very well. Do not expect 5-star like bed, but the bed is comfortable enough for a decent rest. It has a very small balcony too that allows you to look out to the small street or step out to step a breather or smoke. It has mirror for doing your makeup and another small mirror near the bathroom for you to dry your hair. If you have ever stayed in any Singapore Hotel 81, the Phoenix Hotel is probably 5 times better in terms of bed quality, bathroom cleanliness & room atmosphere. It has a mini fridge, drinking water, tibits, instant coffee & tea. There is free WiFi too! What I don't like most was that there were a few mosquitoes in that room that I stayed. I managed to slapped on 2 mosquitoes and the rest hide after I turned the air-con on full blast. The cafe - Catch Up Cafe Like this cafe a lot. Can't help it & start behaving like a tourist taking pictures. Really a relaxing place, away from the hustle & bustle. Soft music plus nice ambiance. It is a very small cafe but I think it gives great pleasure to me & my friends. The food menu is quite decent. The crepe cake is a must eat. The Thai milk tea is nice. The staff All staff are friendly & helpful. Yes all staff including the driver, the receptionist, the bellboys, the server in the cafe and the staff in the cafe. All & All, I thank all staff in The Phoenix Hotel. My stay there maybe only be less than a day, but I felt very relaxed while I was resting in the hotel, just 1 day before I went back to the busy busy world.
Great Location, Prompt Service, Clean Room”
One of the cheapest hotel in Bangkok, I arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport 12:15am and called the hotel staff for service pick up it takes only around 5 minutes and the shuttle service arrive to pick me up. The room was clean and spacious, all facilities are functioning properly, with free laptop used, internet connections are very fast, free shuttle going to MRT stations. Staff are very good speaking in English and friendly especially to Ampika and Prapawan who are always willing to anaswer all my inquiries.
Simple and clean airport hotel”
We stayed at The Phoenix Hotel on the way back from a beach holiday in Krabi. We were only stopping over for 8 hours, so an airport hotel seemed most appropriate. The facilities are minimal, but what is included definitely makes the difference. The airport transfer was speedy and the shower was hot (a rarity in Krabi). Complementary WiFi made the slightly stale room more bearable (although room was non-smoking, and there is a terrace just outside, there was a faint residual odor). Overall, definitely an option to consider if you need to stay very briefly in Bangkok while waiting for another flight.
Great and awesome”
Although we just stayed for an overnight as we are travelling to another province the following day, yet our experience staying in Phoenix hotel was great and awesome. We arrived midnight, and there was no hassle during check-in so we went to our room fast and enjoyed the comfort of it. Hot/cold water supply was good, as well as welcome packet with water, coffee, and tea was an added bonus. Counter and other support staff were kind and very accommodating. Will be staying at Phoenix the next time we travel to Bangkok.
What amazing staff”
The hotel itself is nice, clean and basic but I got more than I expected in terms of value for money. The room was spacious, clean and cool when I walked in. There is a fridge and private bathroom which for the money is very good value. The one thing that stands out about this hotel is the staff. On my second and last night I returned from the Bangkok weekend market without any money. All three ATMs were out of service and I was a little concerned. The following morning the ATMs were still out and I explained my situation to the staff. One of the staff called Pol immediately took out his own money and gave me 100 bht with directions to the mall with working ATMs. He then decided he would take me as his shift was ending and he escorted me via local mini bus which is a pickup kitted out with chairs. He personally took me to the ATM, made sure I came right and then back to the bus stop, waited for the bus and told the bus driver where to drop me off. What a legend. This is what it's all about. The staff were all generally quite good but this particular guy stood head and shoulders above the rest. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt when I return to this beautiful country I will stay at the Phoenix again and I hope when I do to see Pol in a management position if he isn't already in one. He is a credit to she country and an absolute invaluable asset to the hotel. I couldn't fault the place. I'm terms of the hotel itself it's very good value for money and with the free pickup and drop off from the hotel and the friendly staff it's an absolutely exceptional place to stay for the weary traveler who just wants to get there and sleep with no dramas. It's close to the airport rail link which will get you to BKK with ease and in comfort. Thanks again to the friendly staff and especially Pol who I hope so much will be valued as an asset by the hotel as he absolutely should be - what a legend. This place is a winner and I couldn't recommend it highly enou
Convenient hotel to stay. ”
The Phoenix hotel offers free transportation to airport, which is really useful. Also visiting Bangkok centrum is easy by Airport Rail Link (10min walk to nearest station). Hotel also has reasonably priced food until 11pm, which is really useful if you are coming in the evening as we did.
Great hotel for a one night stop-over”
The hotel was exactly what we needed; a place to sleep after a long flight before catching a flight the following day. The hotel is very close to the Suvarnabhumi international airport, only about 10 minutes drive from there. They have a regular shuttle service running between the airport and the hotel. It was a bit tricky waiting for the shuttle as no one from the hotel was there, only a sign at the place to wait, and the other hotel people there did not have great english so it was a bit unclear how it was all meant to work, but after waiting about 20 minutes someone come and told us the Phoenix shuttle was there. But having the shuttle is great, though it is close to the airport and we could have easily taken a taxi, it saved us the bother of trying to communicate to a taxi where we wanted to go. The hotel is well appointed, good shower, good air-con, comfy bed, and pretty quiet surroundings. The included breakfast was nothing special, but it filled a hole and was reasonable. The hotel staff we found to be friendly and helpful when we asked them to write out the name of the other airport we wished to go to the next day.
Best bargain hotel for an early next day flight”
the transport, well the rep for the hotel, was quickly located inside exit 4 of bangkok airport. a tem-minute wait for the transport to turn was fine by me. the hotel is so close to the airport that the journey was quickly over. the staff at the hotel were all very helpful and accommodation, in particular a 'mr pol' went out of his way to explain where the shops, food shops were around in the area, and how i could easily walk to the skytrain; indeed, through his helpfulness, he made my stay very memorable. the room was very well appointed given the price. everything in the room, bottled water, tea, coffee, cans of drink in the fridge and snacks were all complimentary. the tv was fine, and the aircon was quietly super efficient. the room and hotel were sufficiently quiet for me to have a great sleep; in bed at 6pm and up again for 4am for the early morning flight; i could not ask for better than that. i took the hotel bus transfer back to the airport, and left thailand with good memories of my stay at this excellent value and conveniently located hotel.
Comfortable stay in China Town”
Our stay at The Phoenix Hotel Bangkok was quite pleasant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is centrally located in China Town and is relatively close to the Royal Palace, Wats and the river. We walked to those attractions and made it fairly quickly. We found many food stalls in close proximity to The Phoenix.
For myself I was a transfer traveler. I had a difficult transfer from Bangkok. The Phoenix was exceptionally good at accommodating the transfer, between the service. transportation to and from the airport as well as timely wake up call service. Unlike some other hotels promoting the same service the Phoenix hotel actually provided the service. For a hotel that provides transfer service the Phoenix does an excellent job. For a tourist hotel look elsewhere.
Great Choice for an Airport Hotel”
This was my second stay at The Phoenix and I enjoyed them both. Very close to the airport. On our first trip we suddenly needed to buy my husband a pair of pants. The staff was very helpful in getting us a taxi and letting us know how much we should expect to pay to get to a nearby mall. We found some great deals on men's clothes. The transportation to and from the airport was great. The rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I appreciated the snacks in the room and bottled water. I will stay there again.
Best place if you have an early flight”
I stayed at Phoenix several times now and am always happy to return on my last night in Bangkok before I have an early flight. The hotel has very good value and is the only place that offers a free airport shuttle (10mins). Clean, super comfortable beds, quiet at night and in walking distance to Latkrabang station, should you want to go out to the city.
Great location but small rooms”
My wife and me was on going for a vacation in Hua Hin which is 3 hours drive away from bangkok. But since we arrived at midnight in Bangkok, we were too tired to travel another 3 hours, so we decided to look for a budget trnsit hotel nearby Bangkok airport. We chanced upon Phoenix which is only 15 min drive away. The hotel sent their pickup and within miniutes, we arrived at the lobby. The room decor is simple but the bed is pretty comfortable. There is also a convenient store located a stone throw away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going on transit trip when they arrive in Bangkok.
Excellent budget airport hotel in BKK. The hotel has a modern feel and everything works to perfection. Check-in was very quick though it could have been done with more cheer. The complimentary shuttle to and from the airport is very convenient. Phoenix was perfect for an overnight stay. There was a 7-11 around the corner and a small market where we were able to grab a quick Phad Thai dinner for only Baht45! Also had a foot massage nearby for only Bht300. Very good to soothe our tired legs from walking extensively in Nepal where we came from. Would definitely return should our plans call for another overnight in BKK.
Cozy and Affordable Hotel”
Phoenix Hotel is a good place for people who are looking for the nearest yet affordable place to sleep in from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. The staff are very accommodating and the facilities are farely good. They can also take you to the nearest train station if you wish to go to Bangkok or any other place the moment you check-out.
Great location. Cute cafe.”
I booked this hotel primarily for its location and free airport transfers, both of which worked out great. I arrived in Bangkok late in the evening, and it was very easy to get to the hotel even at that time. There are attendants waiting by gate 4 to call the hotel, and the shuttles come and go every hour or so. The ride itself is short (under 10min), which was exactly what I wanted close to midnight. My room was quiet and clean. The real gem of the hotel is the cafe, which offers simple breakfast options (not included with the price of my room) but is bright and welcoming. A nice place to spend time before heading back to the airport for my next flight.
We only stayed 5 hours here, but enjoyed our brief sleep. We were picked up from the airport at 1.30 am after arriving a little late (we had to wait for about 20 minutes at the pick-up point). Very clean van to the hotel and quick check-in. The room we had was a standard and was clean and comfortable enough. We had no issues with noise, finding the hotel very quiet. The room had a small mini bar, which was free! The two ladies at reception were still working when we checked out at 7am the next morning. They were both very polite and efficient, with one of them speaking good English. There are lots of airport hotels to choose from, but we thought this was a very good choice as it is near mini marts, a beautiful Wat, a lovely relaxing Khlong full of fish and most impiortantly for us, it was just a 15 minute walk on departure to Lad Krabang station at 7am, making it not necessary to have to go back to the airport first or taka a taxi to Bangkok. Recommended!
Perfect for what I needed!!”
As a solo traveler with limited travel time, getting from point A to B was of top importance. After arriving at exit 4, these Thai ladies called my hotel, I waited approximately 10 minutes for my ride, and a Phoenix Van took me directly to the hotel. They even took me tithe closest airport link (Ladkrabang Station) in the morning (I was the only person in the van, so maybe they did this as a favor because there were no otherwise travelers at this point; I would ask if they could do this for you before assuming).
I had a chance to stay at Phoenix for 1 day when i reached Bangkok. My stay at Phoenix went really good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Neighborhood was very peaceful. Very comfy rooms. Inshort a very good place to stay and value for money.
