The property offers 73 bedrooms, each sensitively pared back with a modern yet vintage charm and finished with a beautiful selection of books and magazines, real plants, and original artwork. Choose from humble yet handsome Bunk Rooms, or opt for a Small, Medium, or Large Double Room. Each has a utilitarian en-suite shower room and superfast Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.
There is a café on the ground floor for great coffee and delicious pastries, and Lounge on the first floor offering all-day dining and a unique cocktail offering, welcoming neighbors and hotel guests alike.
The Pilgrm is within walking distance to Paddington station. The West End and nightlife of Soho and TheatreLand are close by. Village life in Marylebone is within easy reach, as is the world famous Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill.

Such a good experience at the Pilgrm”
We booked the Pilgrm after reading reviews from others. I've traveled to London before, so knew that hotels in the city are much smaller than people from the US are used to. :) I also knew we wanted to be near Paddington station since we'd be traveling to Wales for a few days via train from Paddington and also wanted quick access to the tube during our time in London. It was so convenient. All staff we interacted with were so friendly and helpful! Our room was clean and well appointed. We were in a "Large" room and it was just right. The continental breakfast in the morning was delicious. The coffee and tea from Workshop coffee in the lobby was always good. Bottom line is we loved the Pilgrm. Be sure to read about the property and other reviews so you know what to expect going in (i.e. rooms facing the street can be noisy, there's a tiny lift but will still need to walk stairs, etc.) and hopefully your experience will be as good as ours!
Dear Elizabeth, Thank you very much for your feedback. It's very rewarding for all the team to hear from our guests when they've had such a great experience with us and we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. I do hope to welcome you back at The Pilgrm very soon. Best regards Sylwia
Compact but perfect”
No doubt a compact room but this place was well worth the money bec of the location, for the Hyde Park area. (1 minute from Paddington Tube station). Comfortable bed, nice shower and posh toiletries. The breakfast was perfect on both days and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was very clean. A lot of local places were significantly more money and I don’t spend much time in the room whilst in London so the room size wasn’t an issue. I would definitely consider this place again.
Enjoyed ambience of hotel. Must use earplugs: loud, constant street noise, expected here in London.”
Please indicate on Agoda booking form that NO TWIN BEDS are available. I was not told this BEFORE my booking was accepted and payment locked in. With the AGODA policy of NO REFUNDS for any reason, this meant that I could not do anything but continue with the experience. It would have changed my mind on booking if I had known. This said, It was a lovely room, bathroom, great shower and the body/hair formula of Rosemary and Cypress was heavenly. Thanks for that treat! Sign says: Best Possible Coffee which I will definitely have next time I visit, and stay at, The Pilgrm. Asked about the spelling of the name, and didn't get an answer that made sense. Seems a great marketing opportunity lost - MAKE UP A GOOD STORY if there isn't one already, why not! It's a distinction! Cheers.
Excellent bed, location but make sure to stay on park side.”
First the good points - the location can't be beat for being close to the Heathrow Express and a major tube station (although note that the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines towards Kings Cross are on the opposite side of the station). The bed is as good as that on any 5-star property in terms of comfort and sheet quality. Finally, the bathroom was good. Now the bad news: The room was very small, not unusual for a European hotel, but there was negligible space for hanging clothes and parking suitcases. Also, note that there are negative reviews for the noise related to the Underground, that can be addressed by asking for a park side room, although I would imagine during the summer, the windows will need to be opened, and it will still be noisy then. Also, the bathroom has almost no room for toiletries and not even a soap dish. In all, despite some negatives, for $120/night incl taxes, this is a great deal and made for a most enjoyable stay in London.
Great location, nice room”
The location is everything cos Paddington connects easily with the rest of the city. You could actually walk to Hyde Park if you fancy a morning exercise or to Notting Hill to shop at Portobello Road. Room was very clean, tidy and stylish (as they described, a celebration of British craftsmanship). The only downside is the alley next to the hotel is the back of all the shops and bars on the main street, so some noises during the night.
Thanks for your fantastic review! Please do know we have some rooms available on other sides of the hotel which you may find to be quieter at times - do let us know if you plan to return and we'll do our best to allocate you a room on this side of the hotel. Thanks again - much appreciated!
Perfect location, comfy rooms, new facilities and excellent service from the hotel staff! ”
Loved the very helpful staff, the comfortable bed and toilet design, location is excellent and check in was a breeze. Though the hotel lift is rather small and chatacteristic of the small hotels in London, the staff are ever helpful with the luggage and even helped me to bring my luggage all the way to the Paddington Train Station since I was travelling by myself and had 2 quite large bags to carry with me. Rooms are quite small though but was told that there are larger rooms available for couples/families. It's definitely a hotel with character and I simply love it. Will definitely come back again!
Fantastic location, excellent staff.”
Fantastic location very close to Paddington Station, excellent staff who were very obliging and always went the extra mile for us. Really nice lounge area that we would have liked to spend more time in. Room facing the street was a little noisy with the pub opposite, and not a lot of hanging/storage space, but all in all an excellent stay, and if we go back to London would love to stay there again.
Beyond expectation kind of experience”
The hotel is located at a very strategic location that is perfect for traveller who are just coming for a day or 2. The staff were super friendly in recommending places to visit and even offered to help me in printing my boarding pass. It is definitely one of the best hotel I've ever stayed in london and I will definitely come back again!!
Exceptional”
Super convenient location steps from Paddington station. The hotel is very stylish and our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and printed out tickets for us. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in London!
What a gem!”
The Pilgrim is now my favourite hotel in London. It’s not only tastefully done but it’s clean, and has everything you need, with understated efficiency. There’s no fuss, no process, no uniforms, just fantastic service, comfort ,and decor . Everything was perfect.
Dear Chloe, Thank you for your very generous review of your recent stay with us at The Pilgrm - it is very much appreciated. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again very soon. Best regards Sylwia
Exceptional”
My husband and I chose The Pilgrim for it's convenient location, a stone's throw away from Paddington station, and it's vintage style. We weren't disappointed, friendly staff, beautifully styled rooms and ideal for getting into, out of and around London. I would definitely stay again.
Great Location hotel and just minutes walk to Paddington station in London.”
This is the second stay of me this week, this time I choose to have the large room. the large room is a lot bigger. And it has a great front hotel view from your room. It a great hotel located near to the Paddington Station with just minutes walk. This will be the great choice of this located area. Have a large window in the room that you can open a small gap to let some fresh air into the room, I stay during the winter time so it makes a great temperature for the room on this season. Free water refill machine in the hotel lobby that you can always fill it with fresh sparkling water or still water(just need to keep your empty water bottle after you used). A pantry in every level that you can feel free to make a cup of hot tea and hot coffee with two choices of milk provided in the pantry. Housekeeping has done a great job daily on making sure your room is in clean condition every day when you come back. There a lot of restaurants around Praed Street that you can easily get your meal done.
Great Location Hotel with very near underground Access in London.”
It a great hotel located very near to the Paddington Station with just minutes walk within the hotel and tube. If you are just hoping to stay for a sleeping on the night, this will be the great choice of this located area. The small room is small but just like others big city hotel, you get what you are paid for. Have a small window in the room that you can open to let some fresh air into the room, I stay during the winter time so it makes a great temperature for the room on this season. Free water refill machine in the hotel lobby that you can always fill it with fresh sparkling water or still water(just need to keep your empty water bottle after you used). Fantastic place to stay AAAA+”
Such a great hotel with some real quirky touches from the record player in the coffee shop to the Pantry to make your own coffee and tea. I booked the large double room which gave me a bit more room to move around in. Room looked like it had recently been refurbished and was super clean and comfortable. Bed and bedding excellent, small compact bathroom with a larger shower and great shower power. The blue tooth speaker was great quality, fluffy towels but only a small area to hang clothes no cupboard. As the leaflet says, everything you need and nothing you don't. There is a safe hidden under the bed that i only found on the last day so be sure to look there is you want to store personnel affects. I didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food but i can confirm that the sign out the front that say's "The best coffee around" is 100% accurate. Instead of having a kettle in the room each area has a Pantry stocked with 3 types of tea and coffee style bags with hot and cold water
Dear Wendy, Thank you very much for your lovely review and the constructive comments. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again very soon. Best Regards Sylwia
Very good”
I stayed in the larger room and it was a good size. Good comfortable bed. Hotel is literally less than couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station. I was there for 4 nights. My first night, my room was located at the back of the hotel. The room has a big window but you can only open to window about 6 inch wide, laws and restrictions in London. The window was facing a wall and some motoring running all night. Between the fan, the motor and gasping for ventilation and air, I was perfectly roasted. If i am a turkey, yes. I did not get a second of sleep. Not pretty. The next morning, i went down to the reception requested to change a room at the front of the hotel. The staff were very helpful to accommodate my request. The new room was excellent. There is more light in the room, and with the restriction of window height, there is breeze coming in to the room. I dont even need to have the fan on. A good boutique hotel with its special charm.

Trendy hotel in London paddington location”
Super comfy bed and hip decor. Fab location to London paddington - room quiet as facing laneway. Staff helpful. Basic toiletries. Food onsite.
Thanks for your great review Margaret! It is very much appreciated.
Great location - Beautifully Renovated ”
Place to stay in London, next to the tube and well renovated. The rooms are a little tiny :)
Thanks Kenneth for your great review, I'm sorry to hear you felt your room was tiny. We do list the room sizes on our website so that our guests make an informed choice when choosing their room. I can only apologise if that wasn't clear enough. I do hope to welcome you back at The Pilgrm very soon. Safe travels! Sylwia
Helpful Staff, Clean & Cosy”
Perfect location for train connections to/from Paddington. Staff were friendly & helpful - organised reasonably priced taxi to airport when I discovered at late notice the Heathrow Express was not operating early Sunday morning. Room was cosy, comfortable and well appointed.
Quaint Boutique Hotel in an excellent location in London”
Hotel is very clean, surrounded by nice restaurants and coffee shops. More importantly it is near the Paddington underground station to connect to Heathrow airport. Although small, we loved our room! This boutique hotel is great. Although officially rated 3 stars, the value you’ll get is 4.5 to 5 stars! Sooo quaint and lovely as a boutique hotel. We highly recimmend this place and would not think twice to coming back.
Very good”
Super handy to Paddington Station with plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. Nicely refurbished rooms, comfy bed but small, however ours was larger than some we’ve had previously in London. Down side, only one glass and no tea making facility.
Thank you Merv for taking the time to share your feedback on your stay with us at The Pilgrm. It is very much appreciated. I do hope we can welcome you back again to The Pilgrm very soon. Safe travels!! Sylwia
