Perfection ”

Location, service, room size, staff, price

I will without a doubt be staying at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo again. The rooms were big, even for a Western hotel. The staff were very attentive to our needs and almost everyone spoke a degree of English. The lobby décor was absolutely beautiful, although the interior of the rooms appeared a little dated, however I like vintage style so this did not bother me at all. The bathrooms have plenty of space, as well as jet tub and huge shower to boot. The toilet is separate which I think is great for a hotel, and there are took large vanity mirrors with adequate light for making yourself up. As a girl, I felt like a princess in this hotel. The location is flawless - across the road and around the corner from one of the most major JR stations in Tokyo - Shinagawa Station. You can get virtually anywhere via the Yamanote line which connects to Shinagawa. You don't need a shuttle service to and from the station because it's just so close. The Airport Limousine bus also makes hourly stops at this hotel so be sure to head to the bell desk and book your tickets! It's far easier to get to Narita Airport this way, much more comfortable, and significantly cheaper than hiring a taxi. The room service is expensive and the portions small as in any hotel. However, they do a delicious American Breakfast - make sure to try the sausages, they're delicious! If hotel breakfasts aren't your thing, there is a McDonalds with typical breakfast options and McCafe coffee down beside Takanawa Wing. Very close! Again, the staff were great. They came to clean our room every day and very carefully worked around our stuff, and when I wanted to mail some things they did all the hard work for me. My experience at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo was unforgettable, and easily the best hotel I've ever had the privilege to stay at! I would definitely recommend The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo to anyone looking to stay in the Tokyo are

Clean, quiet hotel - 'walking leg require'”

Quiet, clean, fast elevator, new, with great access to an incredible large Japanese garden

Other Prince Hotels can be noisy, busy, and a bit older, but not Sakura Tower. The facility was modern, clean, quiet, and the access to the incredible large Japanese garden was so wonderful. The only problem was that their restaurant was limited (breakfast served both Western & Japanese) but one set menu each with some choices. If you walked 5 minutes through a garden to next Prince Hotel, they had a breakfast cheaper and more option in Buffet style. Their Japanese restaurant was good quality. Also, it was just a bit too far to walk to Shinagawa Station if you have a large luggage or have any difficulty walking. The closeness to this busy station was convenient for getting around.

Like an Oasis in the busy high tech city of Tokyo”

Peaceful and quiet ambience, very comfortable room with extra luxuries, very convenient location!
For me- none- but for non-speakers of Japanese, it may be difficult.

I come to Tokyo nearly every year. This is the first time I have stayed at this particular hotel, although I have stayed at many of the other Prince Hotels in the area. I arrived close to midnight and there was no-one at the bottom of the steep entrance to greet me or help me with my luggage. However, there was a phone, so I presume, on refection that it may have been possible to call the reception and get some assistance. After traveling a very long distance on the plane and an extra hour to get to downtown Tokyo, I found my room to be like an oasis. It was very comfortable and well appointed. The marble bathroom was well equipped with spa bath and very large separate shower cubicle. The toiled was completely separate in its own room, with another basin. The decor (I chose a "classic" room, as opposed to "modern") was very tasteful, and the original artwork reflected the spectacular view from my window of a beautiful wooded Japanese garden down below. The service was impeccable. I found my peaceful, relaxing stay of three nights, to be a very welcome surprise, in this bustling city. I will definitely be returning to this hotel. There was, however, a lack of English around. So if you do not speak Japanese, you may encounter problems, if you need to communicate something out of the ordinary.

Very good business hotel”

location near Shinagawa station, very quiet, nice garden

This hotel is my favorite hotel during my business trips in Tokyo. It is very good located near the Shinagawa station, the stuff is extremly friendly and the rooms are big (for Japan :-)). The furniture is a little bit old fashioned (80ties style) but in a very good shape. For the friends of a good cigar: The neighbour hotel Takanawa Prince Hotel has a cigar smoker lounge, which is open until 4:00 a.m. in the morning...

Very good experience, nice comfortable hotel”

Location, room size, gardens

Very nice stay at the Sakura Tower, our 2nd time there. They completely renovated the hotel in September 2013 and it shows! The reception area is beautiful and modern, the rooms looks nicer, and even the gardens got some small improvements. Staff was nice and attentive. Except when I arrived earlier in the morning at 9am, the staff didn't want to check me in early, and I was told that it would cost another 4,000 yen to check in. - However, when I came back at 10.30am, there were many others doing early check-in. When I asked the receptionist about this, he pretended that he never said a thing. Quite disappointing, but the rest of the staff did a good job. Great location close to Shinagawa station, easy access to city and airports.

Nice hotel with 5-star service, big clean rooms”

Room size/features for price and location near major subway hub

Was in hotel during 9.0-magnitude earthquake; staff was very efficient, professional. During evacuation they were great, and even good about allowing 2-day early departure at no added charge even though they could have justifiably charged for one of those days. Aside from that, rooms clean and huge for Tokyo standards, location great for subway/bullet trains and close to Tokyo Haneda Airport. Lots of good food nearby, close to Shinagawa station. Breakfast and fitness center not included in price of hotel, and anyone sensitive to cigarette odor should ask for non-smoking room.

Excellent base camp to explore Tokyo”

We loved this hotel! Traveling with a 3 mo old baby is not the easiest thing, but the staff did everything possible to make it easy for us, including expediting check-in for us, upgrading our room to a king size bed (we had reserved twins), storing our luggage while we were in Kyoto, and setting up a crib for our baby. Plus, the proximity to Shinagawa station (3 min walk) is a huge bonus, as it is one of only two stations in Tokyo that is a Shinkansen stop, for those of you who will be exploring more of Japan. As an added bonus, there are tons of shops and restaurants both on the Takanawa side ad Konan sides of the station.

Largest rooms in Tokyo for the price”

Location, room size and service available

This is second time I stayed here and again I found the place to have most of what you need for a business stay and even some ways to relax in the garden. If you need restaurants, the hotel has plenty, but the whole area around Shinagawa is filled with other options and if you are to travel by train in Japan, Shinagawa is almost as conveniently located as Shinjuku and Tokyo.

Loved everything!

My number 1 hotel in Tokyo! Top location (5mins walking to Shinagawa), top service (they make you feel like a king!), really beautiful hotel (take your time for a walk in the garden), excellent restaurants (best breakfast I had in Japan). The rooms are spacious and give you everything you need - including a perfect rest at night. I will absolutely stay there again!

In-room jacuzzi, great service, close to train station

The hotels is nicely located within walking distance from Shinagawa station and across the street from a complex of stores and restaurants. The service was excellent - from the greeting person outside the hotel, to check-in, to taking our bags to our room, they really worked hard to please us. The facility is clean and modern, with a nice garden, pond, in-room jacuzzi and minibar. If the price is right, it's a great luxury experience.

I like the most is the location, what i don't like is from Narita airport to hotel, my flight arrival schedule does not match well with the limousin bus. Usually i have to wait for another hour for the direct arrival of Sakura Tower. So most of the time i have to alight at Tanakawa etc, then pull along my luggages and walk the slop up to Sakura.

Friendly staff, Very nice evironment, Big and super clean room.

Close to Shinagawa JR station with 5 minitues walking distance and easy to find. The JR line is link to Narita airport directly. Also there's a shuttle bus from the hotel to Shinagawa station every 30 minutes. The female staffs can speak fluent English and super helpful with super good manner. The most important is the room is very big and super clean. Super good expeirence. We will stay here next time.

Beautiful rooms, great location”

Friendly staff, beautiful, clean rooms, jacuzzi bath

Check in at the hotel was smooth. They escorted me to directly to the room instead of just handing me the key. It was my daughter's birthday, so they gave us a complementary bottle of champaign. The room was spacious, by Japanese standards and the jacuzzi bath was very relaxing. The location of the hotel is quiet, with a great garden for taking walks. The location is very convenient to the bustling city of Shinagawa. If you are in to western food, in the hotel just next door, there is a TGI Friday's.

Great location with spacious rooms”

quiet oasis in a busy city

the hotel is on the route of the Takanawa Prince Hotel shuttle bus, which stops at other Takanawa prince hotels on the same ground. However, to board the bus, you must notify the front desk first. We took the shuttle to the Shinagawa train station after checking out. Do not know how you can board the bus for check-in. The hotel is very close to the Shinagawa Train station. Although with a little uphill walk and heavy suitcases, a shuttle bus ride will be better than walking.

Thoughtful staff and posh in-room facilities”

Jacuzzi in room!

1) We were departing Tokyo in the evening and the staff called us to confirm about our flight departure time. She explained that traffic was held up in the morning due to an accident, thus she wanted to make sure we had sufficient time to get to the airport in case something similar happens in the evening. That was a very thoughtful gesture! 2) Room was very big and there was a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Many other toiletries such as shaving foam, headband, aromatic lotion etc were provided, again demonstrating how attentive the hotel was to the guests' needs. 3) We requested for a room with a good city view. They acceded to it without the need for any reminder. We are definite we want to stay there again on our next visit!

An Outstanding Tokyo Hotel Experience”

My wife and I couldn't fault this hotel. We liked it so much we stayed on a return visit. The location suited us perfectly - away from the Tokyo "hustle and bustle" but only a few stations away from either Tokyo Station in one direction or Shibuya or Shinjuku station in the other direction. The Tokyo skyline views were also a nightly activity from our room. Highly recommended!!!
