The coolest hotel across from the river ”
This is a unique hotel, what a great design and so peaceful. A very pleasant stay and will definitely stay here again I had a nice time to stay there. Nice hotel. Helpful staff. I would like to stay there again when I go back Phnom Penh.. I had a nice time to stay there. Nice hotel. Helpful staff.Only 1 night stay but enjoyed the hospitality of the staff especially the bar attendants at the Terrace Bar! You can relax in the jacuzzi after a day's walk. have a drink or dine at the terrace with a great view on the city. Food is wonderful and prices are reasonable At 5am you can see people exercise -Taichi,Line dancing, using the gym range, jogging. The sunrise was very refreshing except that there is an upcoming building that blocks a better view of the morning sky. The breakfast was ala-carte and came in good portions. The staff ever so friendly and accommodation. The room was spacious and their rooftop restaurant was nice. On the top floor you have a lounge style bar with great views of the Mekong River. A perfect place during happy hour! we need not venture out of the hotel to have great meals under a very romantic setting at the roof top. the hotel is located a short walk to the royal palace and silver pagoda on one side and the 'pub' street in the other direction Very clean and well maintained. Like the interior design and the bathroom We highly recommend this excellent boutique hotel right on the river in Phnom Penh. The staff was excellent, buying bus tickets for us to Siem Reap / Angkor Wat, helping us find great restaurants, taking care of little things like matches for a romantic candle in our room. Our room was lovely, and also free high speed internet access

Nice river view hotel”
Firstly, I liked this hotel and will stay there again if I visit Phnom Penh. The design of the hotel is good. The ground floor has a restaurant, bar and lobby. The roof has a hot tub, bar and garden. The other levels consist of 4 rooms each, for a total of (I think) 12 rooms. The overall feeling is a calm privacy. The location is very good. It's right on the riverside, which is very convenient for a tourist. The entrance and lobby of the hotel is open yet very private. I rented a motorbike and parked it in front without locking it. The staff took care of me and locked the motorbike up. That was probably very fortunate, because theft seems to be a problem in Phnom Penh. The staff were friendly and overall very helpful, yet they didn't bother me at all. My room was very spacious and quite clean. The materials and furniture were of solid quality. The walls seemed thick as I never heard the neighbors. The bathroom components were from decent quality brands. The furniture was not new, but not old. The bathroom had bricks on the wall surface, a fully overhead shower, and a decent bathtub. I don't remember anything about the quality of the bed but I think it was pretty good. The balcony was sublime, although you can see your neighbor's balcony if you look over. There were no insects or dust or other nasties anywhere. They did a good job making up the room every day. Food and drinks were ok, but I thought the breakfast was just average. Service and responsiveness were very good. I didn't think the fruit was that fresh, and the bread was a bit stale. My girlfriend's hot cocoa was too milky. I tried the room service for drinks. They did a good job and the drinks were served quickly and looked and tasted pretty good. When we complained about the cocoa, they did their best and made another one for us and seemed genuinely concerned.

Suite rooms are great”
There are not very many high quality hotels in the central part of Phnom Penh's Riverside, and The Quay Hotel is one of them. The hotel is small; it has 16 rooms, eight suites and eight standard rooms. My room was a suite; an elegantly designed and well appointed room with double bed, television area with two recliner chairs and footrests, and an office area with a large desk. The bathroom is very large, with a rainforest shower and a deep tub. Suite rooms only have balconies, with good views of the Tonle Sap River. If you have difficulty with stairs, check before booking at Phnom Penh hotels. The Quay DOES have an elevator, but many others do not.

Stylish hotel with gorgeous view + great location”
We were greeted by the warm and friendly staff as we arrived. Their service was consistently as such throughout our three-days stay. Check-in (and out) registration was a breeze and our rooms were prepared. It was quite a surprise to walk in to our rooms, to find it very spacious. We had the balcony with view of the quay. It was amazing. Hotel and room decor is modern-stylish. One should not miss the equally fabulous rooftop bar. Great to watch the sunrise from here (faces east)! Location of hotel is also very strategic, close to everything, including the National museum and Royal Palace, as well as the stretch of bars, restaurants along the quay. My friends and I are really impressed by this hotel, and we are sure to return here when we visit Phnom Penh again. Even the breakfast is yummy!

Nice hotel, excellent location and large rooms”
The Quay Boutique hotel was in a fantastic location on the main strip of Phnom Penh. It was close to great restaurants and bars and walking distance to the grand palace. The room was large with a nice balcony. Pool was very small but the rooftop bar was lovely. There was a slight musky smell in the room but this was not so bad that it affected our stay. Large bathroom, bed and tv area.

"Location is everything"”
This is the second time I'm writing this review as the first time it didn't save. So I hope I don't leave anything out. In a nutshell, the standard rooms are claustrophobic and not as nice as the suites. there are only 16 rooms in this hotel, which I feel is great. We upgraded to the suite for an extra $50 a night and I'm really glad we did it. We had to move rooms each night as the hotel was full, so we got to experience different types of rooms. The one suite however was nicer than the other, i.e. it had a Bose surround sound system, where the other room didn't. The downside however in this room is that the curtains (which are operated by remote control) didn't close properly. I strongly suggest staying in a suite, the room size is superb! It is decorated really well and has a view of the Mekpng river and all the action taking place along the riverside. The breakfasts were great & the rester ant superb! However,if you are planning on swimming some laps or tanning at the pool, this hotel is then not for you! The pool is the size of a jacuzzi bath and there are no lounges to chill on. The view however is really cool. This hotel is situated in an amazing position, which is extremely important in Phnom Penh. The hotel staff is really friendly and they understand English, which is extremely important. The hotel is in the best location in PP. The riverside is vibe and a lot of fun with a huge variety of resternats, bars & nightlife. I highly recommend ONLY the suites in this hotel!

The best in town”
The Quay was the best place that I stayed in during my time in Phnom Penh. For having to hop from hostel to hotel, it was a welcome stay at the end of my trip before going to work at a not-for-profit, it was almost difficult to leave the room. The food is delicious, the staff is always willing to help the ambiance is calming after a day or evening amongst the many motorbikes, SUV's and loud noises that tend to be on every street in the bustling capitol of Phnom Penh. I am on a budget, but I have to make an exception to the rule for this place when I am down in that area.

Magical stay in Phnom Penh”
I stayed in the Quay hotel in Phnom Penh in October 2009. Loved Phnom Penh thanks to this fabolous accommodation. Perfect location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was gorgeous. Loved the decor. Roof top terrrace was fabolous and Jacuzzi was heaven. Ate in restaurant both nights and food was lovely and had a wide range you could choose from. Free room service which was also a plus!! Definately highlight of my travels in CAmbodia

Great hotel with even better hospitality”
Much like Cambodia as a country, the best part of the hotel is its people. The staff are wonderfully accommodating and make you feel like you're their only guest. You are in the heart of the city with wonderful views (if you splurge for the panoramic suite, which you should). And the breakfast? Wonderfully creative and absolutely wonderful. The hotel was slightly different than I expected. Do not expect 5-star large hotel. This is 16 rooms and 4 floors. From what I could see the only true 5-star hotel experience can be found at the Raffles. Do not expect a pool, the "plunge pool" is really not a pool, but the roof deck is a wonderful oasis to enjoy 1/2 price happy hours. We returned to Phnom Penh briefly to catch a flight and we came in to grab iced coffees on the roof. Not only did the staff recognize us, but they even remembered our names. While it may not be a 5-star facility, it's a strong 4-star and the staff are among the best I've seen in any hotel.

Fantastique boutique, great location”
We highly recommend this excellent boutique hotel right on the river in Phnom Penh. The staff was excellent, buying bus tickets for us to Siem Reap / Angkor Wat, helping us find great restaurants, taking care of little things like matches for a romantic candle in our room. Our room was lovely, and the breakfast had organic honey, homemade bread, etc. The whole experience was a real treat. Our only complaint was that there was no desk in our room, though there was an excellent, free hi-speed internet connection.

Once again Perfection”
After my dismal failure in Rovieng, I returned to Phnom Penh. Staying at the Quay after having nothing gone right was such a welcome comfort. The smiles of the staff remembered me. Their smile made me feel better for all the things that didn't work accordingly. Although a little out of price range, It is completely worth it again. Inside the room they also have a game that is addictive but it is in the Panoramic Suite, which is worth the extra money for, although the standard room is a perfect place to meditate and escape from the sometimes overwhelming durian fruit smell.

Quay Hotel”
I recently put up with Quay Hotel during my vacation in Phnom Penh and had upgraded my room to one with a balcony. The room faces the riverfront and a park, which was lovely as it provided natural breeze when we stepped into the balcony. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of a food/pub stretch and we did not have to worry about looking very far for decent food. The breakfast provided by the hotel should not be missed - try the pancakes! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and visitors alike.

Loved the Quay!”
After a not so great night at one of Phnom Penh's other guesthouses, my travel partner and I found the Quay and couldn't be happier that we did. It was clean and sleek, has a delicious menu, a friendly and helpful staff, and a great location. The rooftop terrace was a bonus, as was the option to rent a laptop for in-room use. I felt very comfortable there 100% of the time and would return to Phnom Penh just to stay at the Quay if it were a little closer to home. I highly recommend staying here if your budget allows for it. Trust me, it'll have been worth it.

Great botique hotel in a great location...”
A lovely hotel, beautifully furnished, very tasteful in the Japanese style. Lift, generator ( extremely useful), tasty free breakfast included, free internet (in room and in the restaurant). No view from my room, but on the river, centrally located. Other than the lack of a table to place my laptop on, it is hard to think of a downside to the Quay. I would certainly recommend this to visiting friends (I've just moved to Phnom Penh to work).

Great location, wonderful staff, delicious food and super spacious room/bathroom ”
We travelled with a 3 to and a 10 mths old. Arrived at 9 and check in was at 2, but the staff was so nice to check us into another room so that we can rest and relax till our room was ready for check ib. Restaurants are literally next to the hotel and everything is nearby. The rooms are spacious with a separate dining/working table, a big living space with good sized TV. Bathroom comes with a rainshower and an amazing bathtub!! You wake up to beautiful view of the river and amazingly it wasn't noisy and our kids slept through well. Breakfast was delicious, we opt to have breakfast in our room and the staff are always ever so accommodating with all our needs. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we come back to Phnom Penh in the future. Thank you for the great experience. Loads of love from Malaysia :)

Very 'stylish'”
the hotel, compared to the rest of phnom penh, is probably a little bit too modern and styled. we booked it because of a really cheap offer. there are two different kinds of rooms; we had a small one, without balcony and no windows only with light-wells. to sleep there and live out of the suitcase, it's enough. the breakfast is great and included in the price. there is direct access to the roof top bar, the jacuzzi and an overwhelming view of the river. the hotel is located next to the river and within walking distance of the national museum and the royal palace.

Great location, great big room”
We stayed in a suite room, very spacious and with beautifull balcony with riverview. Great! We checked in at 10 in the morning and that was no problem, the room allready clean and waiting for us. The staff was at check in very helpfull and friendly and give advise what to do in Phnom Penh. We had a great stay in The Quay Phnom Penh.

a wonderful hottel”
I always like tostay overlooking the river when I go to Phnom Penh and have stayed in more than a dozen hotels. Without exception, the Quay is the best. The balconies are uncluttered with pillars and are a decent size to have friends around. The lounge and bed is just great, as is the bathroom. I am not sure if I would like to stay in the rooms without windows however. Worth the extra money to get a balcony room with a view to die for. The rooftop plunge poor and bar is great. Happy hours mean drinks are very inexpensive. The meals are good although a little "twee". Staff wonderful, friendly. I have made my choice and will stay here every time.

Nice hotel in a great location”
Stayed 3 nights at the Quay while touring Phnom Penh area. We had one of the smaller, rear rooms with no windows, and seemingly limited ventilation. The bathroom was functional, but always seemed/smelled a bit damp; a good bathroom exhaust fan would have helped. Comfortable bed and great hotel ammenities and location.
