Family of 5 can stay in one cottage!”
The Quinlins Hotel was an easy drive into Pai and to the attractions surrounding Pai. We had our own car, so it was very convenient to get around by ourselves. The staff was very attentive, and we enjoyed the breakfasts with fresh baked bread. Our family of 5 was able to share one cottage at a very reasonable price. The cottage had a large dining room table. There was plenty of space outside for kids to chase butterflies, and the view was lovely. The hotel has only a few cottages, so we felt as if you were at a private resort. We had the pool to ourselves every time we swam.
Very relaxed place to spend time”
This place is awesome. It's inexpensive and classy. The lead lady made breakfast (coffee, toast with butter and jam and fresh fruit) every morning. The pool is big and deep. The rooms are large, clean and well put together. If you want a place to relax in the country, come here. If you want to be closer to bars and restaurants, stay in town. It's about 15 minutes via moto.
Nice guest house in a village outside of town”
i had a nice time staying at quinlins. you really do need a motorbike or other mode of transportation, as there are no restaurants or anything in this area. the guest house is a great value for the money. if you are going to pai to drink and go out at night, you will have a hard time getting home, since the roads are dark and there are no taxis back to the guest house. but if you want a quiet couple of days, this place is a good choice.
In all of the places we stayed in Thailand this was by far our favorite! The staff here were so welcoming and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean, and it is located a little ways from town so it was very quiet and peaceful there. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was newly remodeled, great breakfast, and the pool was lovely. I can't say enough great things about this place! If you are looking for somewhere to relax, this is the place to stay!
We had a very nice stay at The Quinlins. The location is beautifull and quiet. Pay is great. The hosts John and his wife are very friendly and helpfull. The only negative on our stay was the mattress. This could be replaced by a new one.
The best experience in Thailand”
I thought it is the best experience I had in Thailand, the host of the hotel John is very friendly, he tought us how to learn the motor-bike and willing to drive us back to hotel in evening, in his world: I have to make sure you are safe. Haha, very funny, and the breakfast tasted good, the view of the hotel is good, stayed in there was very relax, if I have the chance to visit Pai again, The Quinlins must be my only choice.
Relaxing hotel although lots of bugs”
This hotel is fine if you don't mind bugs as it is really out the way you will need to be able to ride a moped which the owner happily took us to collect, very cheap moped but the roads aren't easy especially at night. Pool wasn't very nice as was really dirty also lots of dead bugs floating around. Bed was also full of dead bugs.
Perfect for relaxing surrounded by only nature”
The Quinlins Hotel Pai is the perfect spot to relax in the pool and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are really clean and the beds are comfortable. For the ammount of money you pay, the breakfast is satisfying. The owners, John and his lovely wife, are extremely helpfull and you can have a good laugh with them. Because the accomodation is far from the village (15 minutes by motorbike) you need a motorbike to get around, I loved it! For me, a budgettraveller, Quinlins had all that I could possibly ask for.
Peaceful stay in Pai / Excellent value for money ”
We've been lucky to experience some wonderful home-stays/Guesthouses over the years, from Phrachup Kiri Khan, Songhkhla, Chiang Khan and some lovely places in between but, for the money, this place really is tops! We were after a quiet stay, no rafting, caving or partying, just a peaceful stay, with a pool, in Pai. We believe we got our money's worth and, with the help of our fabulous host John, we gained some valuable tips for our little journey in the region too. - We would recommend this property to all, especially those who are after a good night's sleep, a lovely pool to chill at in a sweet location away from all the hoo-har.
Relaxing stay at a quaint countryside hotel”
The quinlans are very welcoming and helpful, they even took time to teach us how to ride a scooter! They drove us from the bus stop and were very accommodating to all our needs, not to mention entertaining. Complimentary breakfast was great - excellent value for any traveller.
Nice room and Great Owners”
I highly recommend this hotel.John and Gaynor are very helpful. We hanged out together to the town at night. They just give u feeling like good friends known each other at long time.I will come back again!
Brilliant place located 8km out of Pai!”
We had a blast at Quinlins. From the very start the owners make you feel at home, and happily chat to you about anything. (Ask for stories of their time in Pai!) We had a lovely room, very clean with probably the best bathroom in Thailand, and enjoyed hanging out by the pool with the dogs & view. Highly reccomended!
Quiet and Relaxing with Great Service”
This was our first time to Pai and the Quinlins Hotel. The hotel vehicle was away when we arrived but a transfer by taxi was provided. The hotel is a little distance from town but the owners were more than helpful with info and advise. The rooms were nice and clean and we were well cared for with a complementary breakfast each morning. The hotel provides a service in and out of town but we rented a scooter to have more freedom to explore the area. Great place to stay and relax at a great price. Thank you Quinlins.
Beautiful resort and pleasant owners!”
As we arrived at THE QUINLINS, we got a warming welcome from John (the owner). Afterwards we were in the city for dinner, with John. During dinner we got a lot of recommendations for objects of interest in and around Pai. Before leaving the QUINLINS John pumped up the wheels of our motorbike, which was very helpful for the sharp curves in the area of Mae Hong Son. It was so beautiful at the QUINLINS that we decided to make an additional stop at the QUINLINS on our way back to Chiang Mai. Location is not easy to find without navigation. On the 1095 road comming from Chiang Mai after you pass the Memorial bridge you have to drive additional round about two kilometers before you have to turn into a street on the left side (in a right curve). If you have a motorized vehicle it's no problem to stay at the QUINLINS because it's round about 8km far away from the city. If you don't have any you have to take a taxi.
Great view but quite far from the main road”
the hotel is quite far from the main street but the view and atmosphere in winter are superb! provides swimming pool and english breakfast from english owners. too bad we stayed there only one night if we have a chance to visit pai, we will definitely stay at the quinlins hotel again.
Lovely guest house with wonderful host”
It was a very nice surprise and everything was above my expectation for the price being paid. We were welcome by a British manager and we felt like being home in this guest house. I loved the place with a big garden, a lot of trees but just 3 bungalows, a very nice swimming pool and a corner for books, musics and videos. I'd like to come back soon
Our first time using an online site like Agoda.com really paid off. We found the Quinlin's Hotel, 7 km from Pai in a quiet village with a splendid view, a remarkable 14m saline swimming pool, and two of the coolest owners you could possibly meet. We are already making travel plans to come back to the Quinlins as soon as possible. Thanks to John and Gaynor for a wonderful stay.
One of my new favorite places to stay in Thailand”
we just spent five days here and absolutely loved it. the room is actually a little bungalow that was much bigger than we had expected. there's a view of the mountains from the pool and lounge area and it's outside pai enough that it's perfectly quiet. it's a great place to stay if you want something nicer but for a reasonable price and if you like a more natural setting (e.g. dragonflys, kaffir lime tree, and even fireflies at night). it's still really close to town, if you're on a motor bike, which if you're visiting pai, you'll definitely want to rent one, because the best parts of pai are seen far outside the main tourist area in town. it was very relaxing and the owners are so charming and gracious. we didn't want to leave! (we extended our stay an extra night). our 2 year old son loved the pool too. we've traveled all over se asia and this is one of the nicest places we've stayed at for the price. there are lots of cheap places in pai, but you really can't do better than this.
Friendly quiet place, big rooms with a nice pool”
we arrived mid afternoon to be greeted by a very big dog, who seemed more curious then aggressive although a little scary. the room we stayed in was very spacious and had tv, dvd player and a fridge. the pool was a decent size and looks out over the fields and mountains in the distance. both owners were very friendly and accommodating, and there was a selection of books, music and dvds available to use. a very quiet, relaxing and friendly place (not many other guests due to not many rooms). you would ideally need transportation of your own (can be rented in town) as the centre of pai is around 9 km away, with some of the road unlit at night.
Lovely chilled spot, very friendly”
john and gaynor are a lovely english couple running a small and relaxing resort. they were most accommodating and made our short stay (3 days) a very happy experience. gaynor's breakfast was a "carlsberg" performance. top skills. totally recommended you will need a bike or car for getting about
