Stunning rooms in a great location”
The Ranee Boutique Suites is well located in the heart of Kuching, with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions all nearby. The rooms are stunning, large, well set out and beautifully designed. Service is friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast is basic, but providing you're happy happy with rice or noodles, it's tasty enough. Also as it's an old two story building, don't expecta view. Overall one of the best holtels I've stayed in anywhere and an absolutely bargain at the price we paid!

Lovely boutique hotel”
It is always a treat when we find a gem like Ranee Boutique hotel in a city! It is very tastefully decorated, with indigenous art and craft pieces. The whole ambience is very conducive to a relaxing holiday. The staff were very attentive, especially Max, and helped us with organizing all the excursions we went on. Compliments to all of them! Breakfast was excellent - the laksa and fried noodles were a good way to start a busy day! The hotel is on the river, so an evening stroll along the long waterfront is just across the road. We will definitely recommend this lovely hotel to visitors, and book it again on our next visitto Kuching.

Lovely Stay on the Riverfront”
Was in Kuching for a short trip and after checking my options, decided I must give The Ranee a try. Chose a Standard Suite and was given 104, overlooking the main road. Check in was quick as I had booked using agoda and staff was always nice and smiling 😁Room was cool when I checked in; both ceiling fan and air cond was on, definitely good to cool down from the humid weather outside. Loved the overall decor and theme of the hotel, just be careful of the stones in the shower - very slippery. Breakfast was very good, loved the laksa Sarawak and the mee hoon cangkuk manis 👍🏻 Would definitely choose The Ranee again!

Stunning new hotel with lovely staff”
My friend and I stayed in a twin bed suite at The Ranee. It had only been open for just over a month at the time. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to chat and impart advice, help arrange taxi's and trips. The location is probably the best you could get in Kuching. Right on the waterfront and very central. It was designed and decorated so differently and tastefully. The rooms were huge and so nice It was almost a shame to go out sightseeing. My only quibble would be that there was not a list of services the hotel provides in the room as with most hotels. Also, they really need to work on their breakfasts. There was no breakfast menu so nothing to choose from and communicating what you wanted was difficult and they often got it wrong, but really tried! There is a great deli bakery/coffee shop attached to the hotel, so why they don't offer nice fresh baked bread, muffins etc from their I don't know. A minor quibble, but something a hotel of that calibre with the type of clientele they want to attract should really sort out.

Lovely hotel in a good location”
This is a great hotel as a base in Kuching. It is in a good location along the riverfront and on the Main Bazaar for souvenir shopping (although hunt around for better quality souvenirs! - the hotel gift shop has very nice quality items but is more expensive ) The rooms are spacious and very clean. I was in a garden suite next to the restaurant so it was a little noisy until the music is switched off around 11pm. I'm sure the staff would turn the volume down if you asked nicely though! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the 2 trips we booked via the travel desk were excellent (Bako national park and Semengok orang utan sanctuary). Our guide Richard has excellent English and chatted about English football with my brother for ages! The breakfast was good, I recommend the roti canai - the dhal is delicious. We didn't eat dinner here but the menu looked good. The only thing missing for me was a spa so I could have a massage without leaving the hotel. I've got rather used to this in this region so I'm being very fussy here. After a hot sweaty day in Bako a foot massage would have been lovely! Overall this is a lovely relaxing hotel in the middle of Kuching that I recommend to anyone. Even better when booked via Agoda at a bargain price!

Quiet and cool :)”
Entering this hotel is completely relaxing. The decor is local touches with modern comfort and sophistication. Rooms are spacious and super comfortable with locally-made furniture. Bed is excellent. The staff was great, offered lots of suggestions, and is well-trained. The Ranee is a sophisticated boutique hotel and quiet. We would 100 percent stay here again. Location is perfect. And Kuching is cool.

Comfortable but expensive”
The décor at the Ranee Suites is a rather odd mixture of rustic and modernist but quite pleasant. The rooms are nice with comfortable beds but sometimes a bit ergonomically difficult - I was in one of the Ranee Suites and you had to bend double to get out onto the sun lounge; the bedspread was pretty but scratchy. The bathroom was nice but overall I didn't feel that the Ranee Suites was worth the rather expensive price tag. The breakfast was okay but there was no buffet - you chose a set option and got what you chose and no more. A big drawback was that the internet was very, very slow. Overall, not great value for money - the Hilton or Pullman are better value hotels in Kuching.

A pleasant surise”
Attended a conference in a bigger hotel nearby which was fully booked. Found out about Ranee on Agoda. Was more than pleasantly suprised. Airport journey took around 20mins. Was expecting a dinghy room in an old converted shoplot. But it was simply amazing. Small reception, coffee house n restaurant but the rooms were huge n stunning. Had a twin room. Its was very comfortable. The bathroom had a nice tub with a sliding door that opens to the balcony. Mirrors covering 2 walls. Hairdryer provided too. Wifi in the room worked well. And its right smack on the street that is full of handicrafts n souvenirs. A colleague who was staying in the 'bigger' hotel visited n claimed it was 10x better. But its best point must be the warm and ever helpful staff that great you by name & always ready to share advice on getting around kuching. Travelled by taxi mostly and had no problems.

A very good Boutique Hotel”
As per the name Ranee is Boutique Suites hotel - so no remarks -> everything is great. :) Location is perfect - at the waterfront, interior is very good and classy, bathrooms too. However, I believe the price is on the high end for this city and one can find almost similar accommodations for lower amounts. Personally we needed accommodation for 1-2 nights, getting up early and coming back late - so for us there was not much sense to spend 100$ a night just to sleep.

BEST HOTEL IN ALL OF BORNEO!”
This is a must stay boutique hotel. From location to staff to their bistro and bar. Oh and the rooms are to die for! We could live there....honestly. We were in Room 102, Executive Suite....spacious, well appointed, lovely down to the tiniest detail. We adored ALL the staff....but a special shout out to Gabriel at the front desk, so helpful and friendly; a warm HUG to Cindra at the bar; and a million stars heaped on spunky Ann, the manager....these folks really made our stay. Perfect location, short walk to everything! waterfront is across the street, where all the action is day or night. Places to eat and shop and enjoy right out the front door of the The Ranee. We have stayed all over Asia......this is one of our absolute favorite! Try it and see. you will not be disappointed.

Fabulous boutique hotel with stellar service!”
This hotel oozes of charm and hospitality and it captures the true essence of a boutique hotel. They have converted an old two-story shop lot into a peaceful oasis while keeping the original architecture and incorporating a modern touch to the rooms. The small size of the hotel allows for very high level of service with even the breakfast being very personalised. The hotel consists of 24 rooms and I believe each room had its own design and character. I opted for a standard room facing the waterfront, which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. My room had the best view of the beautiful Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building and the entire waterfront. When travelling, despite the excitement, its such a joy to return to a place that feels easy and comfortable, just like home…..I felt that here and simply never wanted to leave! Thank you Ranee staff for the wonderful experience and see you soon!

Excellent. Stylish design.”
Only spent one night in a suite. Had previously stayed at Hilton Kuching. Ranee room much larger, bathroom huge, decor excellent, preferred to Hilton. Had a hire car and plenty of free parking space out back. Clean place, decent food and breakfast fine..all you can eat. Highly recommended.

Great stay at a good location”
This hotel was just perfect as it sits right in front of the waterfront and within walking distances to many heritage buildings in Kuching city. There is no swimming pool (or gym), therefore walking is your best option to get some workout. The staff were friendly, helpful, breakfast selection changes everyday, rooms are spacious and clean. I would highly recommend this place if you plan on seeing more of Kuching city by foot.

Would definitely stay here again”
We were very happy to arrive at the Ranee after a few days in the jungle! The rooms were so comfortable and the shower was great! The breakfast included is nice and the staff are very kind and helpful. The decor is charming and the AC is cool. A wonderful and highly recommended place to stay in Kuching

Beautiful rooms and fantastic staff”
The Ranee was fantastic and we wished we had more than 1 night there. The hotel was finished to a beautiful standard, with little antiques and objects in the public areas. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. This truly is a boutique hotel and they haven't overlooked anything. The staff were fantastic. Two of our party had a severe cold/flu and the staff let us continue to use our rooms well past check out time until our flight that evening so they could rest.

Pleasant stay, second time around”
Ranee is definitely our "go to" place to stay in Kuching. Ranee & Kuching is great for just chilling....Ranee staff very friendly & hospitable. The hotel is designed and decorated very well. Will be back for a third time.

An oasis in Kuching”
Nothing but the highest praise for this hotel. Wonderful location on the waterfront, a beautiful, a quiet room, and charming, helpful staff. Breakfast offers the best nasi lemak I have eaten, spiced with fresh herbs from the hotel's own herb garden. The cocktails are first class, and I particularly recommend the one made with local spirit, coconut and pandas leaves. A truly local cocktail! Our room faced inwards into the atrium. In our experience in other hotels (not the Ranee), river frontage comes with noise, and we prefer a quiet room. The communal seating areas in the atrium are beautifully decorated and comfortable, and more than compensate for a room with a view.

Nicest hotel is kuching, the rooms are amazing”
This place is a bit pricey compared to other hotels in kuching but there is good reason for that. The design of the hotel and the rooms is beautiful. A great mix of Sarawakian and modern decoration. Located right on the waterfront and about a 2 minute walk from the new Plaza Merdeka mall and just around the corner from old carpenter street. Lots of good food, shopping, and sightseeing is available in the immediate area. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and again, the rooms are amazing!

Beautiful Boutique Hotel in a perfect location.”
We loved this property! Such a beautifully decorated hotel - and located in a perfect spot overlooking the river. We walked everywhere for shopping, restaurants, sights. The staff is some of the nicest and most helpful we have encountered. I would highly recommend the Ranee Suites - a great alternative to the sterile business hotels in town.
