Best Hotel in Thailand so far hands down”

Located in a non descript area of Bangkok the Raweekanlaya is a gem. It's so cosy and homely that it gets hard to believe that you aren't home. The staff are just so friendly and warm. The whole place smells amazing. Like a potpourri of love and Jasmine. It makes you feel soothed and calm after a hard day. The rooms are just so different from the high rise hotels. It has a natural white and green hue that makes you want to snuggle up in bed but not before you walk the beautiful gardens. Its a traditional little haven with the comforts of the modern world at your beck and call. I'll definitely choose this hotel and recommend everyone to experience the unique hospitality of The Raweekanlaya.

Heaven in Bangkok”

Amazing butique hotel at a great location (short walk to Khao San Road). Fast check-in with welcome drink, amazing kind and helpful staff. We had deluxe room, it was good size, smelled so nice! Excellent bed. Only downside was the air con was directed at bed so we couldnt use it when sleeping and it was way too hot to sleep, had a miserable night and ended moving the bed and chairs. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.. Could be better for such a nice hotel. Coffee was really bad too. But the pool, the ambiance, the staff makes it all worth. Will be coming back! Thanks, Raweekanlaya ❤️

Peaceful Oasis”

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from the bustle of Bangkok, then the Raweekanlaya is a great place to stay. The staff are wonderfully kind and professional. You will have to take a taxi and it's away from the main attractions but that is the appeal. The Spa is a great way to get out of the humidity.

Quiet, relaxing oasis”

A quiet, relaxing oasis in a garden setting. It has beautifully maintained greenery and a delightfully tiny pool. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was decent but had a limited selection. I enjoyed the hot chicken porridge for breakfast. The place is not very accessible except by car or taxi. The location of the hotel is in a local neighbourhood in the old part of Bangkok, not far from a couple of museums and government buildings. Unless you like long walks, you might want to take a taxi to visit places such the Royal Palace. Wat Pho, Khaosan and Yaowarat (Chinatown). The hotel restaurant serves healthy, organic Thai food which I wish I found out sooner so that I could try some dishes.

For relaxing”

We spent 2 nights here as staycation. It's bit far from center Bangkok and there is no place to go around there (relatively near to Khaosan road, though). On the positive side, it's great place to stay quietly and do relaxation. You should not expect that the hotel is so-called 5 star hotel, but this hotel has a great style and we liked it.

Perfect start of our holiday”

The setting and garden is stunning, beautiful plants and ancient trees. We loved the peaceful settings. The pool was perfect to refresh yourself after a day in Bangkok. The hotel is an oasis in the middle of Bangkok. The staff was always very helpful and arranged taxi's and tuktuks for us. The area around the hotel is safe and nice with good restaurants. The rooms were really comfortable and beautiful with high quality beds and bedlinen. We will return at the end of our holiday to spent two more nights.

Pay a bit extra and get one of the garden rooms”

The garden here is superb. The staff are very professional, really helpful and accommodating. The cheapest rooms are in a part of the building that faces the street. Not all have windows, and the ones that do have only a tiny window with street noise. The magic is in the garden view rooms, where it's secluded and you have two big windows. We were actually moved from a street view room to the garden view because of a building issue. The issue was handled very well by staff and our free room upgrade was awesome. Lots of street food down the street on the left and around the corner, also on the other side of the canal, and north along the main street toward the university (about 1km away). Breakfast has a small but satisfactory cooked menu plus lots of buffet fruit and pastries. Get the Siam porridge it's really underrated! You'll need the Grab app to explore Bangkok because there's no train nearby. But if you're happy to take the ferry or buses it's pretty central.

Perfect Spot for my Situation”

I had to travel to Bangkok for an awards ceremony at a government office that was within walking distance from the hotel. It was absolutely perfect so I didn't have to fight traffic or find a place to park my car. The staff were very helpful and friendly and everyone spoke English quite well. I absolutely loved the atmosphere that the inner garden created and the room was quaint with its memorabilia of times past. The bed was especially comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast that came with the room. There isn't a buffet, but they offer you several different breakfast sets to select from that were very adequate. Ours came with delicious pastries, fresh yogurt, eggs, meat of your choice, bowls of fresh cut fruit, juice, etc. I will definitely stay here again when I have occasion to be in the area.

Near lots of great street food”

As you come out of the hotel most of the action is on the left. There are "street restaurants" that set up along the canal every night (except Mondays). Directly on the other side of the canal are more street vendors, particularly good at night. If you don't want to cross the canal, walk left from the hotel down the street all the way to the corner. Inside the narrow lane that sits just behind the main street are a lot of street vendors including food (daytime only). Also around the corner are more vendors including a clothing market that also has food (daytime only). You can take the local bus (8000 baht flat) to Victory Monument where there's lots of action and the MRT so easy connection to the rest of Bangkok. Or walk 10 mins to the river to take the ferry to places such as Chinatown. You can't go wrong staying here. Oh and the garden is stunning.

Beautiful place! ”

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of Dec. 2019 as we were backpacking throughout Asia. This hotel is a hidden gem right in the city, it feels like you are secluded and away from the city because it is quiet and scenic. Great location to Khoa San road and many other tourist spots. Room was clean and spacious, Pool was very nice! Staff was friendly & helpful, spoke good english. Complimentary breakfast was tasty with several options. Restaurant had amazing food. Would stay here again if we come back to Bangkok. It truly is a retreat! Only downfall is it doesn't serve alcohol but thats ok! Would highly recommend this place to friends and family! Thank you for the great stay!

Great stay but could be better.”

Let me start with the good, I really did enjoy my stay here. It's in a unique location and the land has a neat history. The hotel itself is very scenic. Staff are friendly and try their best to facilitate your needs. The rooms are very well priced and I'd gladly recommend this hotel to anyone. All my complaints are relatively minor. When I arrived it turned out that my booking was mixed up somehow, instead of one bed for us the request on their end said two beds. No idea why, my PDF booking said one large bed. Then they asked my wife if her name was Jennifer (it's not). Later had my wife asking "Who's Jennifer?" The water was never hot, just warm. When I asked the cleaning lady to give my wife and me 2 minutes, she said okay and just never cleaned the room. The sound on the TV didn't work for 2 days, after the first day a maintenance man was sent to check it but I have no idea what came of that because when we returned that day it still wasn't working. All and all, we loved our stay.

Lovely oasis in the middle of town. Has a french colonial style and the atmosphere is enchanting.”

The architecture is excellent. The interior design is well planned and it provides you the expecting reaction which is to feel like staying in a 1900 century's asian colonial trade city lodge. The service is quite friendly and professional and it feels that you're getting more than you paid. The beds are great, the shower and the bathroom layout is good and the gym is well equipped facing the pool. The food at the restaurant could be better with some more flavour in general. Otherwise it could be a perfect stay. In the evenings try the street food right in front of the hotel by the river. Simple but honest. Its all there! This hotel is the right place to stay in Bangkok for a couple of days.

Oasis in the town”

It's a resort in the middle of town, when u check in u won't realize that u are actually in the heart of Bangkok. Environment is very nice, staff are very helpful and polite. Room design not too bad, but breakfast wasn't so tasty perhaps they can improve on that. I like the lobby area and the welcome drinks. It's super awesome the butterfly tea! It's not so convenient unless u take grab.

Peaceful oasis in Bangkok”

A beautiful resort, completely different from your average Bangkok property. The resort has a gorgeous garden, where you can sit and enjoy lunch (sometimes...), or a herbal tea. The whole resort is pretty, the room was lovely (I stayed in the Matinee Deluxe), and the food at the restaurant is not to be missed. Its located a little out from the action, but really, its only a 15 minute walk to Khosan Rd, and minute in a Tuk Tuk to the Grand Palace and other attractions. There are bars and restauarants within walking distance, however this is a local area - not a tourist area. My stay was almost perfect. The staff were lovely. The only thing that disappointed me was that I had planned to have lunch in the garden on my last day, but the restaurant staff told me that they didnt do that (which made no sense since I'd had lunch in the garden 2 days earlier). Maybe there was a reason for the definative no I got - but it wasn't explained. Just 'no we dont do that' - which I knew to be untrue

Excellent”

Paradise with little mistakes. The room was noisy, because the window was not closing. I was offered a room without windows. I didnot want it. I slept with earplugs. The garden and the swimmingpool are wonderfull. The staff was nice and helpfull. The hotel is close to the Thewet Pier, so you use the expressboot to Explorer Bangkok.

Excellence Service, Breathtaking view and Value for Money”

With loads of trees at the hotel. I felt fully relax and recharge. Staffs are nice and really helpful. So serprise that it is so close to Old city of bangkok that hidden there all the time. I can't here anything but birds and tree waving. Love the place very much.
