Magnificent ”
Easily the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s hard to pick what I liked most. The staff was top notch, and what all hotels should strive to be. The cleanliness is second to none. The amenities are everything you would expect. But I would have to pick the decor as my favorite. It’s like being teleported back in time 100 years. Even the servers in the hotel speakeasy are wearing flapper dresses. It’s a convenient walk to plenty of Chattanooga sights, and is located in a part of town loaded with pubs and wonderful restaurants. The hotel is located in a nice part of town, so crime was of little concern. If you choose not to use the valet for parking. There is a parking garage next door. I chose the valet out of convenience since everything I wanted to do was within walking distance. If you’re visiting Chattanooga, spend the extra few bucks and stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent!!!”
As soon as we got here we were greeted at the front door by wonderful gentlemen that made sure we are taken cared of. The front desk was amazing! Everything downstairs was gorgeous! The bartender at the bar was very cool! Their list of drinks were outstanding! The rooms are very nice and clean. I can go on and on! We are really impressed with everything and will definitely come back and or recommend to family and friends! We love our stay here!

Historic Meets Modern Luxury ”
From the moment the suited bellman met us at the lavish entrance with sparkling chandeliers, I was impressed. At check-in, I received a voucher for a free glass of house champagne at their bar, as well as an upgrade for a nominal fee of $30 to a now available updated room in the historic portion of the hotel, and it was well worth it. Our room offered a picturesque corner view of both the mountains and the city. The upgrades to the room offered a large bathroom tiled bathroom including a shower with a rain head. The common areas offered a heated indoor pool with a water feature, a modern library, shoeshiner, historic telephone booths, and so much more. Really, the art on the wall and furniture is like walking through an art exhibit. We also chose to make reservations at the hotel restaurant, The Bridgeman’s, which I would gladly give 5 stars.

Beckett list stay”
What a fantastic time!! The ambiance juts transports you back in time In the poshest of forms. Such cool history you get see everywhere and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful! I highly recommend putting this place on your bucket list!! I just want to give some extra credit to our room 311 tour guide, John Kirby, on December 5th around noon. He gave a wonderful presentation of facts and I even felt like I was at the theater he got so involved! There was a younger child who grew a little restless but John managed the atmosphere well and made it all wonderful. Thank you for the time and experience!!

It’s a beautiful historic hotel *****”
I love the decor and energy of the Read House. It’s absolutely beautiful! The rooms could use a little renovation like tubs and air conditioning system but overall the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! They have a great bar and food services on site. Also a Starbucks on site. They do provide valet parking but we decided on street parking during our stay, which is surrounding the entire hotel. We parked right across the street the entire time. It’s $1 per hour 8am-6pm and free after 6pm. Also free street parking on weekends. The parking meters takes debit cards surprisingly. The valet parking seemed congested so we opt out of that. It’s honestly a quiet town, beautiful landscaping and full of history. Everything closes pretty much at 10pm. Maybe one or two bars open for door and drinks until 2am. Pretty good food and drinks! Great place for a quick getaway!

The staff, rooms, location were absolutely amazing! I was here with a group of friends but I was solo and everything was just so great that I extended my stay an extra night! The filet from the bar came out perfect! Breakfast was amazing! I can’t say enough how incredible this trip was and a big part of it was the staff.

Our Favorite Place to Stay!”
My fiancé and I regularly visit Chattanooga. We absolutely love the city, but one of our favorite spots is The Read House. This hotel is gorgeous in all aspects. Very luxurious and lively atmosphere. This hotel is great for younger folks who are okay with the party going into the wee hours of the night!

Great service, beautiful hotel”
The history and charm is unmatched, it is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were above and beyond what I would expect from even the nicest restaurants and the history is very well preserved here. And if you like haunted locations, this is absolutelt a place for you.

A grand hotel ”
This old school hotel was built in 1872, but while they have kept the old charm and service the amenities and features are definitely 21st century level. Free WiFi, key card access to elevators and rooms, checkout and valet parking service by text - and staff that’s eager to help if you needs face to face (masked, of course) service.

We loved our stay at the Read House. Every single detail has been considered. The valets Anthony and David were top notch. Jody was amazing at the front desk. Also Byron at the ChopHouse was super. Rooms were elegant and sophisticated. And the entire hotel is spotless. I had the best sleep there I have had in years. Every single interaction with hotel employees exceeded our expectations!! Brought the family up for fall break. My daughters words upon entering the lobby “ooo mom this is fancy”. Hotel was beautiful, the room was comfortable and the pool was very nice.

Exceptional”
Hotel was recently (2018 I think) renovated/restored with attention to historical detail....including lobby furniture. It is a historical landmark. Beautiful and clean hotel throughout. Music played in lobby reflected the early to mid 1900s. There was a Starbucks attached and within the main level but no restaurant for breakfast. No safe in room. Latter two comments were only reason gave it other than a 5 for Facilities score. Good diner on corner though for breakfast. Hotel staff awesome. However, Valet guys not the sharpest...they brought the wrong make and type of vehicle despite confirming they received my text and correctly matched ticket number and vehicle description when went to pick up the car that. We would definitely stay there again.
