Not for a leisure break
On arrival the hotel looks smart and is in a good location in Trivandrum but after being admitted by a pleasant bell boy and concierge any pretense of the staff being pleasant disappeared. We had arrived by train and our taxi driver had to ask for change he was met with open rudeness by the gentleman on reception while we were hardly greeted and taken through a series of questions, photographed and dismissed. Our room was adequate and a good size and the cleaning was fine. The dining room staff were just terrible we were not greeted or seated nothing was explained other guests had water offered and put on the tables and tea and coffee served. We were ignored completely our glasses were not filled we had no idea if we were to serve ourselves or wait. No-one spoke to us at all!! I am not sure if this was because we were the only westerners staying or as we were obviously on holiday but for two days not one member of waiting staff spoke one word to us. Worse on check out we were questioned on the mini bar which was hardly extensive (2 cans of soda and a bottle of water) we had not used except for the fact of drinking the water from there and leaving the complimentary water in the room. We did not realise the mistake and said we had had nothing - we were charged 60 rupees for drinking the wrong water and I wish I had insisted that they return the complimentary bottle we had not drunk to us. This hotel has potential but -obviously does not want tourists I can only think that they treat their corporate clients better or they will be out of business. If you are western tourists do not use this hotel as you are not welcome.

Good place & supportive staffs
Nice location, supportive staffs, food is costly compared to rates of kerala, but is presented very well. They support the staffs for vehicle arrangement etc. Tea and coffee of the restaurant is very bad may be some problems with milk they use . Constantly I have seen this problem. Many times nonsmoking rooms have smell of smoke that was very bad. However stay is comfortable and near to major roads

very good
Let down by small details like the pool not being fully clean and blanket having a huge iron print on it. For the money that should not happen. Shower and bath should also be more thoroughly cleaned. Night staff borderline rude and inflexible.

The rooms were quite damp and smelly with dated furnishings. The bath had mold around the seal
Rooms were quite smelly and felt damp. When I mentioned this to the frog desk, no one really cared or did anything.

We checked in on 31st Jan after a night flight.Being tired we dozed off only to be awaken around 3 to 5 am and told to bring my son's OIC card !! A young girl's voice said my son's visa was not photopied !!And as per their law our registration details have to be submitted ASAP to the police !!Within minutes a male voice called to say all is ok, no need for us to come down!!When i asked who is the female who talked to earlier and why the need to disturb us he was reluctant to answer !!Another day we had an invasion of two roaches in the bathroom!!Told the sheepish staff to clear it!! I will never go there again in my life.Rather spend the night in the streets then go to such a place
