Great location & service! Nice view~ lake view and lake rooms are highly recommended. The personal balcony is perfect as if being surrounded by the lake water, and so clean to feel carefree with naked feet. I did nothing but stayed here for most of my leisure time.

Beautiful older hotel with unbeatable views”
The glorious thing about the hotel is waking up to a view of the placid lake and watching sunset over it. Room itself is spacious and comfortable and the facilities, especially the pool and spa room, are pleasant. Go elsewhere if you're looking for a substantial western breakfast, but if you're OK with fruit, salads, and more Chinese style breakfast (including tasty guabao) the breakfast is good. Downside is that it is an older hotel, and it shows - the carpets are a little dingy - and soundproofing isn't what it could be. But that view...!

Great spot full of character”
I accidentally booked here instead of their more modern sister hotel the Lealea. Ended up liking it. Cons: noisy room (under stairs, #321), chilly (but clean!) pool, stained carpets, somewhat dated feel. Pros: great character, wonderful staff, very family-friendly, clean, beautiful bathrooms, comfy beds, great hottub/sauna facilities, and AWESOME views. Recommend asking for a second floor lakeside room.

Beautiful location, but if your room neighbour open tv or speak loud, you won't sleep well. This kind of location need a quite environment, i went there for relaxing and stayed two nights. Fortunately the second night nobody was living in the next room so i had a good sleep. Breakfast quality can improve a lot. At the end i paid 4400 ntd for one night. Let's go guys, make this hotel better! Oh i almost forgot, the first night when we arrive the restaurant was still open but they was serving only set dinner because they said were busy to prepare for the next day and no able to serve a la carte dishes... Mah!!!

The hotel itself is an excellent facility located next to the beautiful Sun Moon Lake. However, the timber walls are too thin, meaning one can overhear what the others are doing on the other side of the walls. Frustration occurs where the others are making noises during the nighttime. If you don't want your sleep quality to be compromised, please consider other hotel choices.

Beautiful location on the lake.”
The hotel is right on the lake so our room has got a lovely view. I understand that every room has a lake view and a balcony where you can sit out and enjoy the cool air and the view. The room is large and the bathroom is nice with bathtub and shower. Everything was quite clean except the carpet which was so worn out and dirty. That was the only downside for us. The carpet of the entire hotel needs to be replaced. It somehow downgraded the hotel’s image which was a shame cuz it was a beautiful logwood hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of varieties. The location is great as you can walk to the pier, to the night market nearby with lots of shops and eateries. The staff was very helpful. All in all, we enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend to friends. And, if we have a chance to revisit, we will definitely stay here again.

VERY NICE HOTEL, GOOD LOCATION AND GOOD VIEW OF THE HOTEL, THIS HOTEL IS OLD STYLE , BUT VERY CLEAN , EVEN IN OLD STYLE BUT VERY BEAUTIFUL OUTLOOK AND INSIDE THE ROOM AND THE DESIGN IS SPECIAL , MANY WOOD FURNITURE , JUST REMEMBER IF U GO TO THE CABLE CAR ITS VERY NEAR, NO NEED TO DRIVE , JUST WALK THEN U WILL HAVE MANY TIME, THE TIME TABLE FOR ONE DAY OR TWO DAY SELF TOUR IS GOOD, JUST NEED TO FOLLOW IT.

We really liked the rooms with rustic wooden decor, the breakfast was great, the view enchanting and the employees friendly and helpful. Only the indoor pool was disappointing as the water’s temperature is too cold to enjoy the jump in. Also ironically the women’s sauna isn’t hot enough, so it’s hard to get a sweat in there.

Great location, parking, staff, etc. It is an older building with no elevator ( take note if you have an infant). Swimming pool was not fully operational when we were here but sauna worked well. Would come back again.

The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. If you travel to Taiwan for a long time, you have to carry your suitcases up to your room. You don’t need to book a room plus gym/bike. Anyway, the room is comfy, nice and big bathroom.
