      great resort hotel”

      nice pool and good breakfast
very busy hotel and charge for parking and expensive wifi

a good comfortable resort hotel with nice pool and comfortable rooms. busy but efficient. nice limitless breakfast. good location near the stadium but you need a car for shopping and entertainment. 50 rand a night charge for parking and expensive vouchers for wifi. good staff. great revolving restaurant with excellent food - but you need to book for dinner - very popular! some of the features of the hotel are a bit dated looking.

      The Ritz hotel Capetown”

very good value , worth the money u paid , good rate and affordable
the queue of the breakfast buffet is very long, should improve this most.

I am very impressive for this hotel's rate we stayed, it is only 500 rand, this rate is very cheap if booking via agoda.com, the walk in rate of this hotel is much more expensive. The location of this hotel is very near to the sea, can walk to hv good view of the strong wave of the ocean. Surroundings of hotel are full of supermarket 24 hrs, food shops, restaurants and even the express woolworth for food stuffs. Nice view of my room (deluxe room) with ocean view and mountain.

At the top during the world cup”

      1) Location 2) Views from rooms to seafront & soccer stadium 3) Revolving resturant 4) Food
waiting for the lifts was long

Warm, cosy environment and friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable. Superb view of Green Point soccer stadium and also the seafront from rooms and also from revolving resturant. Breakfast buffet was massive and good value. Bar food was also good and F&B pricing reasonable.

Good value hotel with excellent restaurant”

Location with lots of shops nearby, excellent rotating restaurant on the last floor with stunning views of Cape Town, clean and spacious rooms, excellent buffet breakfast, kind staff
Wireless internet should be a bit cheaper

This hotel is excellent value for money. From outside it is not so nice but inside the reception is nice and rooms clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and stunning views over the Atlantic and Cape Town. The only negative thing about the room is the bathroom that is quite outdated and should be renovated. Excellent selection of food for breakfast (buffet) and cheap but exquisite food in a rotating restaurant on the 21st floor. This hotel is just 40 minutes walk from the Waterfront and situated in a safe area (I even walked around at night and felt safe). Highly recommended!

Great view(ocean and mountain) from my room”

Location, Ocean view, 21st Floor restaurant

What I like most of Ritz Hotel is that I have a half ocean half mountain view from my room. I could watch sunrise from my room. The hotel is close to the beach (5 minutes walk). I could watch sunset there also. There is a moving restaurant on the 21st floor, you will have a panoramic view of Sea Point if you dine there. The hotel staff are very nice. There is a travel information desk in the hotel, which provides a good service. It has been a wonderful experience in Cape Town. Loved it!

      None

Not pleasant stay due to:- 1) Late check in, room was only available at 2.45pm when chcek-in is suppose to be at 2pm. 2) The aircond in the room was not functioning well. The room was not cool. 3) No free wifi was available for guest in the room. 4) The bed sheets, comforter & towels had stains.

      Central, clean, convenient”

      View, location,

It was much better than expected given that this is an old established hotel. We stayed over to attend a concert at the stadium and it was perfect. Yes it looks a bit old and the fittings arent modern. But the staff were friendly, the room clean and comfortable and had huge windows with stunning views. A bonus was we could open the windows for fresh air and I loved the sounds of the hubbub below. Great value for money. We had a nice drink in the bar before the concert and the restaurant was full! Clearly popular. Would definitely go back.

Stunning views, centrally located ,very friendly staff

This was our 2nd stay this year. A very comfortable hotel with helpful friendly staff, especially the breakfast team . Ask for a Spanish omelet ! The hotel has a stunning location , close to the Waterfront , City centre and Camps bay . What more do you need from budget accommodation with nice rooms and stunning views!

Great stay in Seapoint with a yummy breakfast”

      Comfortable beds, hot showers

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are a little small, but we are only there to sleep. The breakfast was good, and the outside patio for the pool was awesome. I wish that the weather was hot enough for a quick swim. Both the front desk and the Airport Shuttle office were helpful and nice. They allowed us a late checkout and a place to store our luggage as our flight was later in the evening. I wish this hotel had an ATM or a cash-exchange desk, but it is not a problem as there are ATMs around town. The only negative point that I had with this hotel was that we asked for a late checkout (noon) and were called 2-3 times to checkout (well before noon). I'm not sure if the morning shift knew we were checking out late, but it was annoying to answer the phone when I knew I still had about 1/2 hour until noon. However, this small annoyance does not change my opinion of returning to this hotel. I love the area of Seapoint and this place is perfectly close to Beach Road and the little shops/restaurants.

i have got a room with windows on two walls. i could see the sun rise and set from my room. supermarkets and avis car rental are just a few steps away. nice breakfast. waterfront and city centre are just a few minutes away by taxi. the hotel is very savvy on towels. i got just one big towel and had to ask for the towel on bathroom floor to get one.

      Generally good value for money.”

      Clean rooms, fair breakfast selection
Hot foods at breakfast no longer availble after 09h00. Ordered two breakfast boxes on day of departure but only received one - and no manager available at 06h00 to explain! On second last day we only received one bath towel and, although we reported it in the afternoon, we never received another one.

Generally we were very comfortable at The Ritz. There was a rather unpleasant smell on our floor (10th) even although it stated that it was a non-smoking floor. Bring your own tea and coffee as only one bag per person is provided. Bathroom toiletries were not always replaced and on one of the five days we only received one bath towel, and despite reporting it, the additional towel was never delivered to the room.

huge buffet breakfast/dinner, refreshing pool, smooth service
      none

Excellent value for money. Buffet breakfast is included and you can start as early as 6.30. We stayed in a small group and occupied 3 rooms. Different types (King, double/double, 3 single) but all had ocean view. There was enough space for luggage. Furniture adeqate, bathroom, room very clean, central air-con efficient and you can individually control or switch off. Window can be opened. Up to 3 star standard, even better.
