We stayed in the main house, which does have an alpine character. You can stretch your legs in a cosy lounge with the fireplace, enjoy a marvellous collection of wine and read heaps of books ( for a rainy day), and have a chat with an amiable owner. Dani even taught us how to cook risotto one night. Beautiful outdoor area with a river and mountain view, and you can bring your pooches with you. Kerry, Yulia, Paloma and two pooches, Paris & Mindy.

It was peaceful, beautiful, Dani the host was so friendly and made us feel very welcome and special. We stayed in one of the chalet and it was neat and comfortable. Definitely recommend this place

We stayed fir two nights at the River Lodge and enjoyed every moment nice clean facilities host Dani was just wonderful and so hospitable Can not thank him enough 110 percent like our stay Will highly recommend to other visitors to stay and enjoy the faculties Kids will enjoy as well Thanks 🙏 Dani for accommodating us Beautiful 😍 breakfast well worth the money

A nice quiet getaway”
The scenery and surroundings are relaxing and there is plenty to do. The host is lovely, helpful and very generous. Sitting in the lounge at night with the fireplace blazing is a must do. Would definitely recommend for a couple looking for a romantic getaway with an awesome view of the mountain.

Great place to stay with young children - and I imagine whatever your needs were it would be suitable. It is about 5 minutes outside of Ohakune town, but nestled away and really peaceful. Quick drive to Turoa and definitely would recommend.

Die Unterkunft von Daniel kann man nur empfehlen. Er ist super freundlich, behilflich und kann fast alle Wünsche erfüllen. Das Frühstück sowie die gesamte Einrichtung sind hervorragend. Hat viel Spaß gemacht hier zu wohnen und wir kommen gerne wieder. PS. Es wird auch deutsch gesprochen.
